Does anyone have problem when some miners losing 3rd board and hashing 10-11 Ghs? This happens on many D3 miners, not just on one. Miners works on default settings, temperatures are good, max board temperatures are 65-70C. After I restart D3, all boards working normally again for some time. Is there some firmware upgrade for this problem, anyone have solution for this? D3 is not stable miner at all. L3+ is a lot better device.
It's always risky getting batch one items from Bitmain. They don't have a stellar reputation for the first batch working the greatest. M I think the first earnings on the D3's more than compensated for that

got the same problem with mine. Would appreciate some infos. I think is a common issue ... I have this problem to, it happen sometime after some days. I update firmware, reset hardware etc ... Nothing fix this issue, he just happen. Other problem i get, on one of my D3, on board get error on launch like they cant reach correct submitted work, it chain 40-50 HW error and show some xxx on this board. After 1 minute, board launch like is ok, remove all xxx and accept submitted work. Tried this firmware? https://shop.bitmain.com/support.htm?pid=00720170915192851224mJ36J1ap066EIs it upgrading or changing firmware without bitmain's permission will void the warranty? any firmware update has to be "bitmain" firmware..ie. they release new version and you update(then all is good) only firmware by bitmain can be used if under warranty. upgrade?? any other means of upgrade will void warranty If you stay on firmware provided by Bitmain not problem at all I already use this version @micairvas Is not temp related i assume, i get only one board doing hw error sometime, and only when i connect to pool, after everything running fine ... Same for xxxx xxxx happening sometime, if from same board ALWAYS and is clearly not the hot one.

I've posted similar question on L3+ board for L3+'s. I also have the same question for D3s. I've seen different numbers from 200 to 250, but does anyone know the true D3 CFM?

I'd be willing to part with my D3 for a price. It's a nice device, haven't had any issues but my wife is distinctly unhappy with the sound. Can't argue with that, these things ARE loud.

I will also have a D3 (its coming Oct. 15 - 25) I can let it go as well (if the noise is too loud I won't really want it in my house) if anyone is interested please PM me we can do it through escrow as well

My D3 is running at 45% fan speed, noise can be handle, u need another room at least.
I planning to do some acoustic isolation, actually people sleep on the other room, they share same wall.

What's your ROI with the current difficulty?

M I think the first earnings on the D3's more than compensated for that people who bought the oct batch would be right about on par w/ me as far as ROI goes if I still had mine. Only one who benefitted from that was bitmain / dash masternodes

What's your ROI with the current difficulty? I start running them on 21 September, with time to fix for good pool, do some test per my self etc ... I made approximately 0.12 DASH per day, per miner.

Im actually jealous of the October batch compared to September, at least they got a 1100$ discount, ROI may be easier for them. Depends on future difficulty but hopefully most yet to be shipped miners are mining now which won't skyrocket the hash rate too much. Bring on helium

People don't realize before buying these are commercial grade machines. The noise, power, and heat was never really meant for in home application.

You can make Isolated box, just search on youtube, and you will lower it from 75 to 50 db noise level

From my perspective there is one glimmer of hope on the D3 front. Many, many, many of these servers ended up in the hands of resellers speculating on their aftermarket value. That fell off of a cliff very rapidly and many of those have not sold. Nor will they. Until those people take their lumps. Every day you see several D3's and L3+'s, offered for sale in the marketplace forum, Ebay, Amazon etc etc.. Still at absolutely ridiculous prices. Sooner or later these poor chumps will be puking those things all over the forums once they realize they are taking an ass whooping. Keep some cash handy because THAT's when you'll want to buy those units.

As soon as HeliumPay blockchain launches , D3 would be very useful on this mining HLM . First batch of blocks would reward good amount of HLM. It will only take 1000 HLM to launch a masternode so D3 owners may scramble to set up their mining device fast.

I fail to understand why a helium fork of dash shall be better than dash. Go see sumokoin which is a fork of monero and check it's valutation. Also, un current valuation of dash, a master node will give you 4-5% return for that 1000 you shell in. There are safer places to put your money.

LOL I gone build a box with plasterboard and stonewool (non burneble material). The output heat i put in the cavity stone wall. That will reduce the moist in the walls and lower my heating cost during the winter
