I use a 15 inch infinite baffle driver along with 2x 10 inch scanspeak subs less power but I think it sounds okay. speaker building is the reason my house is wired great for mining. I've always been wanting to try an infinite baffle system. Might still do that one day. They can be very efficient from what I hear. I built my sub cabinets myself. 1" MDF with oak internal bracing and everything glued and screwed together and then glued and bolted directly to a cinder block wall. The system is "one" with the house. These are 6" PVC pipes used for tuning the ports to give a sense of scale: Snap on cover build on custom frame: A view of the back of the sub cabinets. It's those big grey things behind the mining rack, one stacked on top of the other.

I want to get a few 1070s. Any advice on where to buy (newegg ? ) and which 1070 is the "best "?
Wind force or gtx 1070 Sc gaming ?
Many of us here have EVGA and Zotac ~ esp for NVIDIA rigs The ones that I have a lot in my farm is the Zotac 1070 Mini - how I wished I bought more before the price hike. . . . . On another note: My supplier just sent me 3 x units of the "COLORFUL Mining Motherboard 8 Graphics Cards LGA1151 Colorful C.B250A-BTC" These were hard to get previously. Still expensive (228$) compared to the other generic boards - but Colorful is a legit big name China brand. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/COLORFUL-Mining-Motherboard-8-Graphics-Cards-LGA1151-Colorful-C-B250A-BTC-PLUS-BTC-ETH-Blackchain-Antminer/32834821844.html

There's a cpu 4 pin near the top of the mobo. Are there any 8pin pcie to 4 pin cpu converters out there? Couldn't find any on aliexpress. I think even at $228 it's pretty good value. We are saving on a pico psu ($30) and 8 risers ($40). A 8 slot biostar mobo with these combined is close to $200 too. Not to mention the space savings and extra reliability.

All you need is PICO kit 4pin to power the CPU - it works, all my server powered rigs uses only 4pin out of the usual ATX 8pins. I am assuming that this 4pin is enough for standard LGA1151 CPUs

On another note, allow me to digress here for a bit, but I think my question's quite relevant to quite a few people in mining:
have many of you sold GPUs over ebay regularly? I'm considering gradually flogging my RX570's and replacing them with either Vega 56's or some Pascal GPUs of some sort.
Thing is I've read horror stories about sellers being scammed by buyers breaking their GPU and sending it back or claiming they were DOA. How do you protect yourselves from this?

There is nothing you can do. At all. You are 100% at the potential scammers mercy. It does not matter if you have video documentation and serial numbers with pictures. eBay/PayPal will side with the "buyer" 100% of the time.

It does not matter if you have video documentation and serial numbers with pictures. eBay/PayPal will side with the "buyer" 100% of the time. You could use my escrow Dapp for transactions: http://escrowmyether.com/It implements the escrow logic using Ethereum smart contracts. Buyer specifies seller address, escrow agent address and amount to pay. His funds are then locked in the smart contract. After transaction is complete, buyer can release funds in the Dapp. If a dispute arises, escrow agent steps in and can refund buyer, or release funds to seller. At any point, the escrow agent never have access to the funds and can never steal it, adding an extra layer of safety. I'm happy to be the escrow agent for transactions on this forum if need be, feel free to pm me. Also, it is open for anyone to be the escrow agent using the Dapp. Here's a short video demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2_XzSlddWIStill, IMO 570s are perfectly capable, pulling $1.50 a day before electricity. Their payback period is better than vega, $400 gpu that only pulls $2.50 a day. @citronick - Cool. Think I will buy one to try. Been looking for a better solution compared to my biostar TB250 Btc for a while. 2400W is perfect for 8x 1080ti

buy a mobo from me and do a rig of 1070's I ordered 10 mobo's here is the invoice 142.37 each shipped to me in NJ,USA SO far 1 to: spotswood crazydane some one else I forgot. 1 for me so 6 available limit 2 USA shipping and a small mark up. say 150 + shipping no funds due till I get them Put me down for 1 of these MoBos. It likely won't cost a huge amount to ship it by USPS to Canada. It will certainly be less than the 5 GPUs I bought from you.

So I decided to push the six 1070's
1- 90 msi itx
2-110 evga hybrid 3-110 evga hybrid 4-110 evga hybrid 5-110 msi seahawk 6-110 msi seahawk
7- 90 evga founders 8- 90 evga founders
this would be 820 for gpus and 30 for system total 850 watts at about 3200 sols
Might have a better option for you (my EVGA SC 1070ti showed up a bit early and I just got done doing some testing on it). https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2324651.msg23996225#msg23996225 Push the shortie in slot 1 for clearance (I'd go with a Zotac mini like we previously discussed over the MSI, those MSI cards don't seem to cool well), push 7 x 1070ti at 104 watts each in the other 7 slots, for over 3500 sol at 850ish watts total draw. I think Zotac is supposedly working on a "mini" version of the 1070ti, might be able to go 8 of them in that case at the cost of a few more watts.

I check What to mine a few times each day and manually switch if the coin or algo I've been on hasn't kept pace. Last night , I switched my AMD and nVidia rigs from mining ETH and ZEC respectively to NiceHash Cryptonight. They've been on there for 24 hrs.

What do you guys mine now-adays?
I check What to mine a few times each day and manually switch if the coin or algo I've been on hasn't kept pace. Last night , I switched my AMD and nVidia rigs from mining ETH and ZEC respectively to NiceHash Cryptonight. They've been on there for 24 hrs. Cryptonite on NH is profitable, with even less power consumption - that's additional bonus. However, in preparation of BTG mining, all of my NVIDIA rigs are currently ZEC on NH. And I am still tweaking the AMD farm to squeeze the best optimized equihash for BTG. BTG mining has started on the Testnet... futures pricing for BTG is around 120$ per coin.
