When you can't sleep, don't try to sleep, stay calm and relaxed, take a few deep breaths, notice the feeling of cool as the air enters the nostrils. Take a few more breaths, notice the warmth of the air flow, Persevere to do so, you will slowly get the mind to the present, and will sleep when not good.
