It is better when they only use ethereum for payment. Because you can see all the transactions. If there is more methods, it means you need to trust them they are telling the truth. Not only talking about sphere.

It would be worth to consider an escrow that will ensure that if they don't reach soft cap then they will refund all of the investors

As of now, their primary purpose is not to communicate with their audience, but still, this is really not the best sign. However, when they have more time later, I am sure that everything will be just fine.

This is quite possible, but what, when BTC is falling further for some time. You cant know this.
The best thing is to have a manager, inform people on a regular basis and develop your product to a usable stage.
