Think it has something to do with BFG 4.0 not playing nice with gridseeds. My Orbs only hit 255 KH/s with MM

BFGMiner plays fantastic with GridSeeds. 255 Kh/s is the default hashrate unless you specify a higher clock-rate using the --set argument.

G-Blade on OS X (50min):

Orbs on a Raspberry Pi (1h27min):

These are using:

Code:
--set gsd:clock=835

Here's a new one after 10 hours - solid numbers (10h18min):

Ok I will start with the easy one.
On MM with the Blade BFG version I am getting very poor performance.
Here is my string.

Quote
--set-device gridseed:@\\.\COM6,\\.\COM7,\\.\COM9,\\.\COM10,\\.\COM19,\\.\COM20:clock=838 --set-device gridseed@\\.\COM4,\\.\COM5,\\.\COM22:clock=1185 --set-device gridseed@\\.\COM8:clock=890 --set-device gridseed@\\.\COM21:clock=1150

The Blades are running at 838 and each only hits 2.0 mh/s each or lower.  On cpuminer same setting they hit 2.8 to 3 mh/s each stable.
The three 5 chip units that are set to 1185 run at 255 kh/s on MM.  On cpuminer same setting they run 501 to 508 kh/s each stable.
The other two 5 chip units one that runs at 1150 and the one that runs at 890 both run at the proper speeds with no issues.  489 and 379 kh/s respectively.

I cannot figure out why this is happening.  I have messed with it for a day.

Does anyone have any input?

I'd suggest trying one devices at a time and then building up to more devices from there.

HI Nate,

The BFGMiner update DOUBLED my gaming rig hashrate! From 600+ Kh/s per GPU up to 1.2+ Mh/s per GPU, stoked! (2x HD5970's = 2.6+ Mh/s)

One strange thing I have noticed with MM is it has successfully switched to another coin with a 127.0.0.1 mining address and has found blocks even though the client is closed. Not surprisingly, the 'blocks' dont appear in the wallet once it is opened and synchronised.

How is this possible and what is going on here  Huh

So I have been using my gaming rig for testing new MultiMiner versions and different algorithms. Took me some time to catch up after recovering from yet another HDD failure, fortunately I have backups!

Anyways, I have noticed some issues when attempting to mine Diamond with MultiMiner...it is listed under SCRYPT in the Add Coin config but when you start mining DMD, it will install sgminer...MultiMiner reports 100% rejects and nothing on the pool end. If I right click and start the sgminer process manually from within MultiMiner log, sgminer starts and mines with no issues. Diamond (DMD) is a Groestl alg. coin and MultiMiner is reporting DMD as scrypt and I think it is attempting to mine using BFGminer instead of sgminer.

Also, if you attempt to edit/add command line variables for DMD, which should be Groestl alg. the changes are not reflected unless they are made in the SCRYPT dropdown instead of the Groestl dropdown where the variables should be.

Moving onto X11 next and I will report back any issues soon. Lemme know if you need any logs etc. Thanks again for all the awesome work on MultiMiner!

I am wondering if having my gaming rig setup in XFire had anything to do with the hashrate increase?

Please add a default workername/password that autofills. Most people use the same username/workername over multiple pools.

XFire does not do anything for mining.  In many instances it slows it.

The BFGMiner update DOUBLED my gaming rig hashrate! From 600+ Kh/s per GPU up to 1.2+ Mh/s per GPU, stoked! (2x HD5970's = 2.6+ Mh/s)

I am wondering if having my gaming rig setup in XFire had anything to do with the hashrate increase?

Hi Nate

is there any way the program can be modified further to restart miners that seem to not be accepting shares (though they do appear to be hashing) as per the following screenshot?

I can stop and restart the miners and it often seems at least 1 or 2 fail to accept shares though its not always the same ones as far as the list order goes (assuming this is static), while other times they may all start but even then 1 or 2 can still have a very low share rate compared to the others.

If this cant be done, perhaps you could integrate some micro management option to stop only miners selected and restart them manually without affecting those miners already accepting shares?

If you like my post please feel free to give me some positive rep https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=18639

hey guys i am having problems getting one of my antminers to recognize. i tried manually adding it with no luck either. it is mining and working fine but is not recognized. also when i try to right click and switch to a different pool, the antminer doesnt correspond and continues to mine on the priority pool.

hey guys i was still having a problem here. i cannot get one of my antminers to recognize. and changing pools from the mobile miner app does not work. it will continue to mine on the antminers priority pool even when i try to manually change it

another thing is text size. since i have it set to the largest setting on windows. i am not able to see everything properly

Hmmm, wonder why the huge increase in hashrate with my 5970's? Each card is reporting ~1.3 Mh/s but they still run too hot for mining

HI Nate,
Any reason I still cannot run Fury's and DualMiners on the same system?
It is still happening.  Only one or the other show up after a hardware scan.
I have tried so many different things.

If you have perks enabled then maybe the hashrate is going to my donation pool (just a guess).

The coin algorithms are determined by CoinChoose.com / CoinWarz.com. It looks to me like CoinChoose.com reports it as Scrypt currently. If one of them is wrong you can edit the CoinConfigurations.xml file with MultiMiner closed to fix the algorithm.

I would recommend using CoinWarz.com as it has support for more algorithms. CoinChoose.com only has SHA and Scrypt.

Nothing I can think of, unless your hardware differs from mine. Make sure you are pressing the RST button on the Red Fury / Blue Fury after each hardware scan.

Please add a default workername/password that autofills. Most people use the same username/workername over multiple pools.

Agreed, I do too, and I actually want to do something a bit smarter for folks with multiple rigs and Remoting. It's on my to-do list.
