"Anonymity, Secure". Where is the I2P Access or worse, TOR? SSL + CA is not "Secure" at all... IPv4 is not "Anonym" at all...

Why does a coin that works perfectly need continual development for no other sake than moronic 'investors' that think adding useless 'features' make a currency system function better. 99% of the 'features' that pop up on new coins are all just silly gimics to woo morons.
What new features have been added to cash in the last 1000 years? USA currency functions pretty good at its job and to think they 'just' started adding the new feature of colours other than green to their bills after hundreds of years. What you mean cash doesn't have DarkNodes (that don't work)!!!!!! The horror....the horror....
I like that Quark is one of the few coins that keeps on more or less trucking along without a lot of bullshit dev team crap. ixCoin is another coin like that. That is actually the idealistic nature of a cryptocurrency...just to exist...decentralized...with no bullshit self appointed foundations/boards etc whose only job is to self congratulate themselves for doing nothing of value.
+1000000000 This guy gets it!!!! btw, why is QRK so cheap right now? Is it safe to load the truck?

Advocacy, promotion, and community driven projects would be most welcome however, with only the Shaq Fu game on the horizon at the moment. Yes Quark is cheap but only if you buy at very small volumes, it is a good time to buy some if you are prepared to wait a while. Quark's strength remains the same, it is probably the best Bitcoin alternative in the sense that it improves meaningfully on the core concept, being a faster and more secure protocol but remaining fairly simple. Just recently I made a purchase with Bitcoin and by the time I waited for the number of confirmations to clear the price had moved down so I needed to move more BTC to compensate, newcomers to digital currency may not experience this kind of thing if their first experiences are using Quark.

Quark adoption : install the coinpayment plugin on a merchant website using woocommerce is easy
if you support quark, just send emails to merchant's website you use usually
we can help them directly if needed,
ShaqFu : maybe just another fundraiser's hoax ? no news from them I tried to buy the game on their website with paypal some months ago, (15 dollars ) I have had no response from them... and I certainly lost some more 15 dollars here

I don't think the game is available yet. If you have paid your $15 you now have access to the Members section of the website. Maybe there is more news there or you take part in a chat and find out more? http://www.alegendreborn.com/#!perks/ckfv

I compiled Vanitygen on a Raspberry Pi for fun. Very slow at 7.5 kkeys/s but works. Here is my new Quark tipping address : QUARKrnRkkWmUxEYGYt3RySJLxsnKpBUvf I crunched out some others with the Quark prefix that other people can have if they want them...with the extreme caveat that I have seen the private key so theoretically in case I ever drink a potion and turn into an evil douchebag like silvermetal I could steal your QRKs from that address...so if you want one of these addresses I would suggest only for temporary tipping not main storage Address: QUArkTP9aJ93cxX3vnfSfZ6kX5YkUpo7XZ Address: QUarkbsZ5z4HtsvRfjxNUY6KHdaeWPrzrB Address: QUaRkHKhiArGWzsUe6X39a4dgqvzVPceWB Address: QUArKrPXtSCTtXTNpQJheFu8GiTZiWqSDz Address: QUarKfX8HDrmZsAedjY83GqvdvZv3YY7mD (too bad QuarkFX no longer like Quark) Address: QUaRK4EtWj8occpuKmScrwxHDUFQQeaz62 Address: QUarKXMM9Hjie8cdxsJRvN77Bdt2Nvkwbr Address: QUarKnTEYFYUY2YBQQnXQMUWnFC9Fs4Fkj First come first served. take what you want but eat what you take. just post or pm if you want one.

If the time is ever right to introduce Quark as a complementary currency in Vanuatu then it's now.

There is a lot of petty nonsense on this thread but I want to update about my recent Quark testing on the 'Old' 0.8x client.
I bought some Quark on Cryptsy and sent to an android wallet on the 10th of Jan. At first I thought the wallet did not work but then I chose the option to 'Reset Blockchain' in the settings menu. After waiting a considerable time for this reset then the transaction went through. So the android wallet lists the compatibility at 0.8.3.15 and above, and as far as I know, resetting the block chain did not put the wallet on the new 'fork' and make it compatible with the new 0.9x client.
To check on this, I sent some Quarks just now from my Mac client (running 0.8.3.22) and the android wallet received them just fine.
So why would I update to the new client that is running a new fork? Cryptsy must still be on the 0.8x client, the android wallet works on this 0.8x client, as does my older Mac client, if the new 0.9x client is compatible with these then it isn't a hard fork?
Sometimes the Quark Android Wallet fails to receive coins and a "reset blockchain" is necessary. That problem probably had nothing to do with the 0.9x client. I will check out the latest changes to the Quark source code and see if an update for the Android app is necessary.
