Miners are the ones who are killing Bitcoin. Due to their greed, they sabotaged both SegWit2X and Lighning Network. And the transaction fee skyrocketed, resulting in the reduced usage of Bitcoin by the businesses. Now the fee is back to normal, but the damage can't be undone.

That's true but what about ETH miners? What will they do once ETH moves to PoS? That's the real question, isn't it?

For now, it is still profitable to mine ETH at home with a dozen GPU and that makes ETH a very popular crypto currency.

But once the mining is over, nobody knows what will happen.

I'm hoping for Casper to be a major success and eagerly waiting to stake my ETH...

Will this be enough to close the gap to BTC? Who knows?

they were the second good function coin as of now but they cant beat Bitcoin as the best coin today . they are good in their own function they were on different roads so it is hard for them to meet in the same road .

I think it may happen in the future but maybe not next year as Ethereum has a much better use case than Bitcoin due to smart contracts being used by ICO's.

I don't think Ethereum can beat Bitcoin in 2018. The decisive superiority of Bitcoin is not easy to overcome.
In addition, Bitcoin upgrade, SegWit implementation is expected in the near future, which will push the BTC price even higher.
Also, the introduction of Callisto will take some of the followers from Ethereum in favor of Ethereum Classic.

Actually my opinion is, ETH is the future of crypto I am fully agree with this. But I think after bitcoin eth is the best coin. And now ETH is growing superbly. So we can say that, Eth is the future of crypto and if ETH cross Bitcoin then it's won't be surprising at all.

Bitcoin is still the most popular cryptocurrency. Ethereum seems promising but it may still take time before it can surpass bitcoin.

I think there are no coins that will cross the BTC. I know that ethereum has potential  but it would definitely take more time for etheruem to overcome bitcoins.  But ethereum has almost zero chances to overcome bitcoins next year. Bitcoins has reached this position after a long time and still Bitcoins are popular and has good demand also people have more trust in bitcoins.
