Correlation is obvious, but underruns 1-2 weeks as I noticed. I.e. gold starts a noticeable drop/rise and bitcoin does the same after 1-2 weeks.

The correlation is stronger if there is eurusd does the same. It means dollar value rises (bitcoin's falling correspondendtly).

Luc, what do think the chances are of continuing divergence with gold, where BTC- on it's way up- passes gold on it's way down?

Will be surprised much.

Picture is "dangerously bullish".

Dangerously as dump threat and dangerously as rocket moon threat at same time.

Weekly is bullish, very bullish.

But divergence with gold and eur and convergence with LTCUSD makes me skeptic. Litecoin rises before big dump. Add new divergence with china here and I'd say "fuck it".

nice chart
why the price should follow the other two?
It is only in the very early days of a technology, when rising adoption has big impact (nearly exponential) on its price.
As the market cap growths, the impact is lowering up to the point that the previous nearly exponential relation is broken. That is to be seen on these charts and that is absolutely correct.

The only way I see it affecting it is the Chinese government proving to its citizens the Yuan needs help and the government is doing whatever it can to help the Yuan.  It has devalued it's currency multiple times to compete globally.  The citizens are getting smart and hedging with bitcoin and other asset class investments in preparation for possible future devaluations in my opinion.  Hence, the continued interest in bitcoin by the Chinese people.

resistance

So we're just about getting ready to blast through it, and that's not to say of what is going to happen when China wakes up.

Do we have an upper bound target then master?

I hope it's china state that is buying bitcoin and not the people.
in the 1st case, bitcoin will never be banned from China, in the second case it's plausible...
right??

I expect around 370 to be hard resistance for today, but some of the previous bearish divs (sub-daily MACD, volume) just got wiped out as well, so I'm even less convinced this is the end of it, mid-term.
