In all honesty, that is pretty sweet. 3 TH/s for free($6000 value) for Neptune customers. I guess we shall see if BA can come close to this. Very generous indeed, but doesn't that prove that these machines are overpriced to begin with? Yes. Knc chargrd $12,000 for a 3th neptune compared to BA $6000 for 2.4th. After compensation BA is $1.6/gh and knc is $2/gh. Not to mention knc comp is shipping in august.. Why you keep saying 2.4 TH/s, it's 2 TH/s stock for $6000. So let's say plus PSU it's $6300, so that's $2.1/Ghs for the 3 TH/s. Versus $12,000 for 6 TH/s including the KNC compensation. That's cheaper than BA, $2/GH. August I know, but technically cheaper. If you were to factor in overclocking, it'll probably be a landslide in favor of KNC. Minion is rated at 120gh per chip not 100gh. And a psu does not cost $300, more like $100 for an atx (or $10 if you diy mod a server psu) Also I wouldn't bet on neptunes being very overclockable. Seeing how they have turned into BFL it seems it is likely they ship as overclocked as possible to save some money.

Thought bobsag3 posted a pic of 2 minions @200GH/S? Thought psu through BA was $250ish? Edit: Minion at 100 GH/s each stock clock from bobsag3 Also, $255 PSU for X-3 from BA store: http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/store/power1.html

Can anyone confirm if the X-3 compensation units will be shipped with the original order? Or, will they be shipped at a later date. I am debating if I need to order a PSU now or wait until I see the original order arrive before spending more money on this.
We have pasted the last shipping estimate and no news. When Bitmine.ch did this, they took another month before they really started to ship anything. Any shipping schedule updates for X3s?
I don't know, however I don't believe Black Arrow currently has such a huge back-log of orders that the difference in shipping times are going to be that significant. You might be talking about a week between shipments if they broke them up. This is China we're talking about here, they can pump these things out and ship them pretty quickly. I suspect everything will ship out within a couple weeks. But again, just guessing...

I was with the BA guys till ~1030pm last night at the SMT factory, and I know they went back there after we got dinner ~11pm and they dropped be off at my hotel. Going to be giving them a call in a few and seeing how we are looking today.

Have the X1 units started shipping yet? If not, do we have an eta?
Most talk since the 9th update seems to be about the X3

100gh is at ss corner. They already tested the chip at 120gh/s (tt corner?) And minersource is selling the psus for $220 but I wouldn't buy one as 1500w is way overkill if the miners get 0.75w/gh at the wall. You might be able to power 2 x3s with a single 1500w psu or power 1 with a $20 850w server psu. You should at least be able to use a $100 atx psu.

Looks like I'm down a x1 minersource says I only paid for the one not 2, Strange I remember sending the funds if and when bobsag come back on hopefully he can help . Just check your transactions and the price ratio at the time. I sent a wire and it was confirmed by minersource but in a email from them Monday they say I only paid for one and are only getting one so i'm out over $350

Seems like you would have some bank proof that you sent them what you say you sent them. Banks are pretty good about keeping records.

Ive got some answers to some of the questions, more to come.
Shipping Delays/Manufacturing: Power supply/board power leakages have been mostly fixed, resulting in the much better numbers reported yesterday. Still working on final details.
How is heat dissipation with the increased power usage? Will the same heatsinks be able to dissipate the increased heat? -With newer power consumption numbers heat and power as designed for are not issues, the X3's heatsinks and fans are designed to dissipate far more heat than the unit could ever generate, even over clocked to the limit.
Is the web interface complete for these units? Can we see pictures? Being worked on, pictures coming.
Will the Black Arrow power supplies be enough to overclock the minions? If not, will there be a different PSU or adapter board from BA that will accommodate the power usage. - Yes, included PSUs will be more than enough to power the units both at nominal speed and overclocked, and is over 91% efficient @ 220v providing well over 1400w.
X1 Compensation Hashing Will payouts be based on a certain hashrate or what is actually mined? What hashrate per minion will be used? 100 GH, 120 GH, or 140 GH
-100gh/ chip, mining will start as soon as able, facility for hosting is done already, payouts based on actual hashrate.
Will you be taking anything out based on electricity costs or hosting and management costs? - No
At what hashing speed will these actually be shipped at? How are power estimates looking? - 200-210GH/150-160w [2 chips] are current test speeds and power consumption. Still being worked on and optimized further.
Are speeds higher than 140 GH/s expected - Possible, nothing guaranteed or promised
Do those who ordered 1 X-1 have any hope of getting compensated? Can coupons be transferable so they can at least sell them to make some compensation? -Single X1 buyers will receive a 50% coupon towards another X1, with power supply included. Otherwise no other compensation has been decided at this time. [ Applies towards BA and MS customers, over rules any previous offer includes MS's]
Will compensation units be shipping with the original order or are they going in the back of the queue? If 5 day hosting was selected, will you power the compensation units as well? What about if a power supply was already paid for? -Compensation units are planned on being sent with originally ordered units as much as possible, unsure as to the 5 days hosting for BA customers.
Is it possible to have the purchased power supplies installed in the units to save on shipping? -To be determined [Certainly an option for Minersource Customers for inter-US shipments]
How easy will these units be to hookup an ATX power supply to? Will soldering be required? Is there a way to have them shipped ready to be plugged into a 6 or 8 pin ATX connector? - I am working on this with BA and PCB designers, we should have a solution that allows you to use your own PSU and that plugs into the boards connector available at some point, probably not in time for launch. We can make the PSU connector available for purchase for those that wish to design/build their own. Will update when I have more information.
One of the problems of competitors has been getting finished miners to customers without breaking of internal parts, are you confident that your shipping methods will allow the rough handling that some companies give to packages? - Miners will be packed securely into a "retail box" , and then that box will be boxed again for UPS/Fedex/DHL for 2 box layers of protection. I have some pictures of the preliminary packaging, and safe to say I bet I could drop it down the stairs with out a problem.
What is the approximate production capacity per day? How many days are expected to ship out all of batch 1? Batch 2? - Assembly production is more than adequate to meet all assembly needs.

Does the same apply to customers who purchased an odd amount of X-1's?

We are open M-F 10-6pm mountain time. I dont handle support issues anymore directly thru the forum (got messy and peoples issues got mixed up) have you submitted a ticket to support@minersource.net, or given us a call during business hours? If you have submitted a ticket please PM me your ticket number and I will get someone to look at it tomorrow during normal hours.
