What about the 'in-stock' PSUs from Minersource for the compensation units? If the PSUs have to be shipped separately, why aren't they shipping PSUs? Is there really a chance that they will need to change PSUs?

In fact, why aren't we all receiving PSUs now and the miners once they are ready?

IIRC Bobsag3 said if you pay for the PSU's before the miners ship they would install them and ship together with no extra shipping charges. If you ordered after the miners shipped you'd be responsible for shipping. I assume this would apply if the PSU's were shipped separate from the miner whether before or after.

Most people are a lot reluctant to pay for more hardware when the first lot has even shipped.

Aren't all PSUs supposed to ship separately because of uneven weighting or something? Why not ship them now, less to do later.

Most miners are not very bright, you only have to look at all the hash
power focused on BTC to see that! The upsize mentality.

I think most of the chips are already assembled on the boards and are being tested through ( just the boards , without anything ).
Source:-

http://ecointalk.net/gallery/image/366-20140513-013222-resize/ (See at the background , boards already have chips on them and are being tested one by one )

As for the power consumption is concerned , I don't think so they will be improving that for the first batch , they might do that with future batches and might consume less power .

I think installing boards onto the cases and assembling everything else is going to take a lot of time and man power . I hope they are done with already . The shipping must start now .

The info I got from another Minning rig manufacture is the reason they ship without PSUs installed or sent separetly has to do with "cerifcation" which can take upto 4 weeks. To ship with a PSU the miner and PSU must be CE ceritfied together. The PSUs need to be sent completely separate and not in the same box as that would "imply" that they would be used together.

A Minion customer is complaining that BA isn't giving them the pin-out for the chip on ecointalk. GG
You mean the Minion Data Sheet that is posted for download on their website?
http://www.blackarrowsoftware.com/download/minion_preliminary_datasheet_2014.04.11.pdf

Also the post I think you are mentioning the person isn't complaining they won't give him the information, its the company he contracted wishes to know more details of the chips and he's asking for it on their forums which BA employees read.

Remember the first compensation package did say at the bottom any one who has been naughty would not get any compensation.

Just looked and the rule still applies Sad

Ehh, I bet everyone who has posted on here in the last 20 pages is on the shit list, so it doesn't really matter.  I just don't see what the trust system would do to help a person trying to decide on BA or somewhere else.  I would instead look to the thread and if I see pages upon pages on upset customers wanting their units and getting disrespected by the company and then make a decision on whether to buy from them or not.  And I will use what trust/power I have to make sure that potential customers are informed.

They actually went sorta into detail back when they announced that. People who asked for refunds, if they got them or not, are on the shit list. Although i do wonder how my situation plays out as i ordered from both BA and Minersource and requested a refund from just minersource. Does BA still consider that punishment worthy?

Either way, it seems fucking shady. "Ya know, you better not say that, or ya might have an accident! Just saying Wink" Sane type of shit, intimidation tactics much?

We can't grow when we won't criticize ourselves!

Spondoolies is shipping in stock 1.45 TH/s miners for $2900. They also use .7 w/gh, it seems they have BA beat in price and power efficiency.

Its actually only 1TH at 0.7w/gh.

However Hashratio is selling miners for $1.4/gh ($1/gh to large customers)

Ahh well that one is even better. Looks like we will get shipped more products since other companies have comparable better hardware.

The way prices are dropping across the board, you would think that BA would have lit a fire on shipping so that they don't have to up the compensation much more.

At 2900 for 1.5 Th/s (1.4 is only for 110V due to U.S. regulatory requirements of some kind; it is 1.5+ at 220V and .8 w/Ghs so still more efficient that BA I suspect, though we will see) ... that is $1.93 per Ghs.  For the $6,000 BA price, we should get 3.1 Th/s minimum.  So BA is already below the promised comp level, and the Spondoolies include power supplies (a very high end Emerson server power supply costing $300 or more at retail).

Unlike the Bitmain offering, it is very hard to argue that BA has any advantage over Spondoolies (if anything, its the other way around - the 1.5U case, server power supplies, and easy overclocking make it a pretty compelling offering esp vs the unknown specs of the BA system).

Even by BA's own stated compensation scheme, they already owe us another 100 Gh/s per P-3, plus the power supply.  Cloud hashing?  Or better, just double comp now and give us 4 Th/s per order.

Another week of delay and BA is going to have to provide the full double comp to even match their own rhetoric (not to mention our expectations now that we have lost so much time and difficulty).  And who knows ... Spondoolies seems bent on killing off the bad competition.  Maybe we will see further price cuts that will really put BA to the flame.

Are you listening Black Arrow?  Ship now, or face the facts.

Idk about that. Spondoolies has just now lowered their price to $2.1/gh compared to hashratio as low as $1/gh

None of these things make spondoolies a better offering than BA. Both have high end psus and both will be overclockable (minion has already been demonstrated to overclock 20% just about matching the hammer chip)

And the 1.25u case is useless. You cannot possibly cool 1kw/1u without some extreme cooling. Seems like most people are using 5 miners per rack which means they could have made them 8u and it wouldn't have made a difference.

Agreed. The only benefit of buying a sp10 will disappear as soon as BA begins shipping.

However hashratio is shipping now for half the price of spondoolies or blackarrow.

Which products are imaginary? Hashratio? Blackarrow?

Just because they haven't began shipping doesn't mean they don't exist.

Don't mean to draw this out anymore, but proof of a completed miner please?

Who said anything about a completed miner? We are talking about specs which have been tested.

Which part of my comparison do you disagree with? Or are you just disagreeing for the fun of it?

However hashratio is shipping now for half the price of spondoolies or blackarrow.

Link please?  A search of the entire forum for "hashratio" yields 2 posts - one of them yours.  The apparent web site www.hashratio.com announces only pre-sales.  If Hashratio is actually selling product, would love to see specs, reviews and sale links please.  Not a troll - I really am interested if its true.
