I really don't know where some of you came up with the X1 was supposed to be "chainable"... I have never read anywhere (other than speculation by non-BA folks) that they could be strung together. That doesn't even make sense. The X1 was never intended to be part of a mining farm. It's design is based on the notion that you could place one anywhere in your home (actual living space, not a garage, shed, bedroom-turned-datacenter) and let it quietly and coolly generate bitcoin for you. BA originally described the X1 as a small machine you could place on your computer desk, on your desk at work, under the TV in your living room or on the counter in a kitchen etc. ... They even made some comment like "The X1 may even generate enough bitcoin to pay for electricity for the entire home"... or something of the sorts. Obviously, now that is quite a stretch and to make any kind of real money you would indeed need a small farm of X1s, but that is NOT what they were designed for.
I'm 95% sure about the possibility to chain X-1s to each other, as i'm not a native english spoken i have learned the word "chainable" from the X-1 product page at BA website, in november 2013, 95% sure And yes I does make sense, very usefull.

Why are there people who ordered large quantities of X-1's for their own use instead of X-3's, despite the pretty substantial premium on buying X-1's? The X-1 was clearly just a novelty hobbyist type item from the start, nobody believed that 100 GH/s was particularly meaningful even on 28 February.
Is there some kind of insider info we're not privy to here where people would've known the X-3 was never happening?
People planning to flip them on eBay and the like. They probably won't admit to it though since BA said they would cancel their order if they found out they were "group buys" which is what that would fall under. I'm sure others did do actual group buys as well.

Well Black Arrow after a few weeks last year, put a MOQ of 10 X-1s, so alot of customers didn't have a choice if they didn't know about Minersource or other resellers.

Don't you need just 1 port... since they are going down the route of rPI... At least i am hoping we can just stick a few behind a single Pi rather than running a bunch of PI's.

I'm sure others did do actual group buys as well. I think their stance on this is fairly relaxed now, since from all indication their refund policy is now "go screw yourself and sell it to somebody else". Again, I don't know if that's really true or not, that's just the testimony of a poster here from a couple weeks ago, but since they're not actually telling us anything to confirm or deny that, that's all we have to go on. Well that is certainly the attitude out of minersource.net their reseller. I purchased via the dyslexiczombie group buy (Which is basically minersource.net bobsag3,thomas_s people now) and they are now refusing refunds having given some refunds to people who bailed earlier??? I would not trust them or BA as far as I could throw them now. PS: If anyone wants to buy my 14 shares in R17 BTC2.5 and they are yours.

we don't want trouble against anyone, but seriously. a company like BA totally refused any refunds in a forced way no matter what reason the customer request...they just ignore refunds...that's really bad..and no any limited time for delivery just let you wait ..seems when they happy then they can sent you your ordet,if not, truly.according to their so called terms if they failed and can't give you the products or any delayed.they think they should not responsible for that and that is customer's mistake invest in them... guys. tell me if you will trust this company and buy products from them or not in the future?
it's really hard for our customer to use our right in this community..so we should unite and support each other.. this should not be the bitcoin world:allows cheating and no rules to this cheater..if the community allows these company like BA exist...no one will benefit at last even if BA...
besides,we, The BA customers, I stand out, warning everyone who plan to consider to do business with this company and the boss(We will know him at last in someway),be very careful, they will totally not allow any refunds and promise or guarantee to any one..they are not confidence about their products and company...they may don't have the ability to do these business at all...because hardly any company which sell miner will totally refused refunds at all and even didn't dare to guarantee anything to their partner or customer...
we,The BA customers,I stand out, hoping the admin of this forum or other customers or anyone to help us despite we have taken other actions, your help are always helpful and thankful.the BA official even hardly to their official thread to talk and discuss with their customers...so I hope anyone can contact BA and their boss to tell them to acknowledge these problems and do as reall company do .. and I suggest personally that admin can open a official thread to update the trust Rating like https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=456691 for every company here..so we can see who is the cheater...
join us if you wish:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=647016.0 best regard to all as customers

Well it's beginning to look like we will be getting close to 6th for ordering our X-3's. The SP30 is more power efficient, 5.4-6.0TH/s and shipping in August/Sept. If BA ships before that we should see AT LEAST 4TH/s. With no news whatsoever coming from BA on the X-3 status, it's not looking like they'll ship anytime soon. At this point I wonder if it would cost them more to ship all the extra X-3's rather than refund us so we can buy some SP30s. http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/sp30-yukon-second-batch

Do you have a mass shipment on the way? When do expect to begin shipping to your customers? Why does everyone refuse to answer these questions? Dan from Minersource told me X1's would be delivered last week. Also, I have an Invoice for a X-3 hosting plan and want to make sure it will be honored. Thanks.

what's going on ? no news, no vids, no pics so near from the launch ? strange ... this seems there are still some "problems"
this is unacceptable, we need to be informed tightly
some very rare and shady update, no customer support, no presence in the forum, and more, no refunds ...
what a shitty situation, BA is so a shitty company...
i'm so deceveid from them, it looks good at the beggining, but there was so much lies, so much falses promises, we cannot even trust them at the moment ... that's the way liars are treated: nobody trust them after
i think at the moment they're mining with our money just as they done with the bitfury stock they bought
for me, the plan was:
1)take the money 2)buy some bitfury 3)mine with them 4)resell them to suckers and get back the money 5)start to work on the real project
that's why they're so late ... all was planned since the beggining ??
+1

updates: guys, guess what?..I receive an email from BA:
"Dear customer,
We were unable to change your BTCs at the exchange rate that you have paid us and for this reason we still hold your BTC. For this reason, we are only able to refund you the BTC sum that you've actually paid minus the equivalent of 50 USD in BTC handling fee.
If you agree that this is enough to settle your refund in full, we will refund you. Otherwise, we are declining your refund according to the clauses quoted below from our terms and conditions and will deliver your order as agreed in our terms and conditions. "
Does any one in our group recieved the same email?? please check your email and reply me...thanks
BA are you seriously??? are you kidding me?...... what I request the refunds are bitcoins values 6068.13 USD(5,949.15+118.98) plus 6068.13*20%=1213.626 USD as compensation....which means totally 7281.756 USD you should pay me....not just 6.35693BTC I paid you on 10 Dec 2013. because 6.35693BTC today(June 11,2014)not values 7281.756 USD even not values 6068.13 USD in order... in today's exchange rate that should be more than 11.3778 BTC... or you can pay me 7281.756 USD through bank.
BA,may I ask you if today's exchange rate is very high like 10000USD/BTC, you still will refunds me 6.35693BTC?
Now, eveyone see what BA is now?....they are cheater.... BA, where is my money? where is my products,my order??
more ridiculous.... all my post on their: ecointalk.net are gone, when I post, guess what? I recieve: "You have been restricted from posting on this community." everyone, if you have something to say, you can say it on http://ecointalk.net/ also, because BA may more afraid on that forum...
