Cryptorush is not the place to be. I'm voting for you guys at Mintpal every hour. Great coin. Good luck!

Yep lets stay out of cryptorush. Mintpal is the one we should get into someday. Now is not a very good time to get listed because we are still recovering from big changes and haxing. When cpu mining is up and running and security is as it should be then would be the best time to get listed.

I think some people are panic selling now that the price is low.

Most coins seem to be reaching a low. It's probably due to bitcoin falling in price. Things should get better when bitcoin rises in price.

I tried the node in the post above, and the nodes I just quoted. I briefly had 1 connection, but then it dropped.

Is there some special requirement for gridcoin that the other 70+ coins on AllCrypt.com do not need?

Would you someone be willing to clarify a few points for me? I already participate in distributed computing for Team Ripple Labs, and I want to know if switching to Gridcoin and configuring additional software for it is worth the hassle.

From what I can gather, my wallet has to participate in Scrypt mining in addition to running the distributed computing manager. Is that correct? Or do I earn Gridcoin by simply participating in the distributed computing network?

This is a nice one. I wonder as well. Is the GPU mining mandatory or you can just CPU mine with BOINC, just like the ComputingForGood campaign?

At the moment, cpu mining is disabled whilst the core developer is fixing security issues with the reward mechanism.
GPU mining is the only way to get rewarded at the moment.

Thanks mate.

But how was it before; GPU mining was mandatory? My point is; I do not have GPU power and looking for CPU only stuff. So far, BOINC/ComputingForGood/RippleLabs provided that. Just wondering if GRC is comparable to that scenario.

Ok, so unless something gets fixed we're going to have to de-list Gridcoin from AllCrypt.com

I was told the wallet was fixed and the RPC commands restored. So I installed it. Showing a wallet balance of zero - was told maybe it got corrupted. I havent even attempted to fix THAT issue, because I've had zero connections for over a week now.

So I ask what the current version is, and no answer.

So I download and install the windows version and see THAT version is NOT the version on Github. So the wallet everyone is using is not only NOT public, but exchanges are stuck on an out of date wallet, that as far as I can tell, doesn't even sync with the network.

No coin should be worth this amount of work just to get on the exchange.

We need this fixed, ASAP, or we're going to have to drop Gridcoin. I've personally wasted way too many hours on it.
