It will be a smart move to start with fiat and vanig tokens then as time goes on they will slowly remove the fiat option from product leaving just vanig tokens.

They have actually been picking up speed over time, and am impressed by that. Initially they seemed to be overwhelmed by the whole ICO activities. They telegram activities has also improved.

Vanig are very good at identifying groups that fit in with what they are trying to achieve. All their partnerships enable the roadmap to move forward. A few more of these and Vanig will truly stand out as a leader in the ecommerce space

True, partnership for Vanig project have been strategic all along but I'm yet to see partnership with major relations store or chain..

as easy as that may seem it not going to be easy most of those major stores wouldn't want to partner right now till they have a clear sight of vanig's success. I believe soon such partnership will ensue

I am not sure how will they tackle to volatility of the token since usually supplier need a stable currency to be able to trade. For example the supplier is selling a dress for 100 Vanig tokens that say equates to $100. The cost of the dress (cloth, sewing..etc) is say $80. the supplier sells and 10 days later someone pays the 100 Vanig tokens and now the 100 Vanig tokens equate to $70 due to some drop or bear effect on the market. The supplier is at loss now.

That's why I think they should introduce another token, and run a two token approach.

Token 1 can be used for purchases on the platform, and it will be pegged to a value in local fiat currency.

Token 2 will be the ones that are currently being sold in the ICO, their purpose will be a store of wealth that can be traded and used on exchanges.

Investors could convert Token 2 to Token 1 to use on the platform at a reduced discount compared to buying in with fiat.

I know it complicates matters, but it's true what Ibininja said, the markets fluctuating could put a traditional business in debt if the markets were bearish for a long period of time.

I don't think it will create any issue, vanig needs to be of value before opening its doors to any other means of payment, otherwise it won't grow that much, lets not forget that other means of payment is like their competitors, so they need to grow to a tangible height before considering others, the brand name is vanig and its tokens are meant to be used

It’s one of the reasons that things like exchange tokens hold value. Giving the tokens real world value is in itself valuable whether it be for discounts or whatever the case may be the trick is to make them useful and desireable so that they hit that sweet spot of demand growth

i don't see it creating any issues either. The token will be in a constant demand because it's used to purchase goods, which should keep the price at a pretty stable point.

I think we had such discussion here one time, of course, team is looking at vanig as the fuel that runs the platform, i think they were reluctant to add fiat as an option in the first place which is understandable but i think all that is clear now since they say for sure they are going to work with fiat, which will come later though

I think we had such discussion here one time, of course, team is looking at vanig as the fuel that runs the platform, i think they were reluctant to add fiat as an option in the first place which is understandable but i think all that is clear now since they say for sure they are going to work with fiat, which will come later though

Makes sense fiat not being there really restricts their reach so having it and balancing it against incentives that make owning and using vanig enticing is probably the best way to really go which they decided to do which was smart

I have been thinking about it and I think the approach Cryptossi proposed could work they could use Tether or something similar; I would also like to add another proposition as well. what if they price is fiat but paid in Vanig? Under the hood it get changed immediately to Vanig tokens. this minimizes volatility but does not eliminate it.
