It is reasonable to see Italian governments did it after 2006, the year of Calciopoli. Anyway, thank you for all your answers that help me to understand more about regulation on gambling sites in Italy.  Grin

Haha complete nonsense. this place is full of illiterates  Grin

I went to check.
The rules every website has to comply to in order to offer their services in Italy date back to 2001, and were enforced in 2002.
The Italian ISP’s were forced to blacklist any non compliant website on the Italian territory since 2006.

How are the withdrawal times at cloudbet these days?

Made first withdrawal via ETH to test the speed, its not instant as it says on the site that most withdrawals are instant, i can still see the cancel button.

Read some bad reviews but still gave it a go, hopefully will receive withdrawal soon and dont have to wait few days or some bs.

Anyone had recent experience with their withdrawal speed?

I used crypto only and amount is not too big, like 300$ only.

Thanks

I have gambled regularly in Cloudbet before and I have never encountered any problems in my withdrawals. We cannot be certain if those bad reviews came from reputable sources and we should not assume that Cloudbet is doing this without a valid reason for suspicions on user activity. There are other sportsbooks and gambling services in the cryptospace if you do not feel safe, however.

@gowinb0t1 did you first check with the support, if yes what did they say but if you have not approached them then do it now as they’re the best people to guide you. @bbc.reporter I believe that Cloudbet came back with a clean slate and they have been doing a good job since then, and lastly I’m sure that once their representatives see this comment they’ll step in to explain their side of the story.

Based on my experience, Cloudbet does not process withdrawals instantly like other sites.

In this review, it says withdrawals are processed within 24 hours.
https://www.covers.com/betting/reviews/cloudbet

Now, if it already exceed 24 hours, then that's the time you have to worry.

It looks like he managed to see his funds, thus deleting the complaint instead of just giving a positive update. There were times when there were slightly slow withdrawal processing times on Cloudbet especially during weekends, but they always got processed after some hours.

and lastly I’m sure that once their representatives see this comment they’ll step in to explain their side of the story.
Unfortunately the rep account is not active in the forum anymore, but the good news is they haven't had any major issues so far.

^ I don't think so, I have a little bit of research on the scam accusation board and it seems there are too many threads that appear regarding cloudbet reputation. Usually and the common problem is that they don't read first the ToS of the casino and they commit a violation and then now, blame the casino because they are a scam. I don't know Cloudbet because I never played their gambling casino but I think the problem is that the Tos should be read.
Probably OP needs to extend here/his patient right now.

I can't find the exact post from gowinb0t1, did he deleted it already? I guess so.
It seems that it is only few minutes had passed when he requested a withdrawal on Cloudbet and then decided to consult here about anyone's withdrawal experience.
He probably he already received the withdrawal to his wallet.

As per my experience with instant withdrawal casinos is that, "Instant Withdrawal" isn't really instant. But it's a fastest way to withdraw funds from the balance. The request still need to be reviewed IMO, so it it will need few minutes to be processed.

Yes they have had issues in the past just like any of the oldest casinos, I think I remember tagging them at one point when there was no response by them but they did come around and resolved the issue (that was the last time their rep account was active here). From that time, I haven't seen any major complaint about them in the scam accusations board.

When were those accusations made? If it was during a bear market, I speculate that similar to other businesses in the cryptospace that went through cashflow problems, Cloudbet might have also had a difficult time in balancing their accounting hehe. However, it has been tested that they will not scam their users. There might only be delays in withdrawals.

I have to say this is somewhat of a draconian law if it goes to these lengths to control the freedom of choice where their adult citizens opt to gamble. They know VPNs are used to bypass such regulations thus making their attempts to limit access almost a failure, yet they still maintain their stance.

How did it happen?

I think like gambling is very common in Europe and many European countries are opened with gambling industry. Is there change in Italian regulations against Cryptocurrency and gambling industry that I did not know?

Every gambling website selling services to Italian customers must be specifically authorised and monitored by Italian government.
You must abide to a series of regulations and certifications, otherwise, it’s ban.
Basically, all gambling sites are blocked by default, and you get to obtain this authorisation in order to make your website visible.

Welcome to Italy!

@JollyGood. It might be more complicated than the argument that the government of Italy is being a draconian state, I reckon. They might also be doing this for purposes of taxation which is the revenue source of the government. If international online casinos want to operate in Italy, they need to comply with Italian laws and pay proper taxes. Another purpose for this might be to help avoid their jurisdiction from being a place for money laundering.

Of course, all this is made for taxes.
They pretend they are doing that in order to protect thee fools from separating from their money. The Italian State of course wants the monopoly also in taxing the citizen. So it wants to keep us rich so that we can pay more taxes!

I agree that firstly it’s about the taxes, and secondly posts the pandemic government may have realised that the gambling industry is thriving, hence they decided that they’ll earn real good money from the approval process in addition to taxes.

Lastly not all gambling sites allow the use VPN, and what’s happens if the gambling sites put Italy in the list of banned countries then these user’s could face lots of issues if they manage to deposit and win, and lastly what’s Cloudbet stance on this for user’s from Italy?.

this law exists in all European countries, and already in many countries around the world.for example, Cloudbet has cheated many people and they have no protection, while in European countries people have legal protection
I think what you said here is that European countries already have one here but what you said is that you said that here they cheated and there is no protection.  I don't know, I think what you said may or may not be true

You should stop using auto translate application and start improving your grammar because your statement is very hard to comprehend. He is accusing cloudbet that just avoiding EU people by implementing restrictions on this country because he is claiming that EU citizen is protected by here law which I highly disgree because I use other casino that ban EU IP in there casino when I’m using it on my VPN. The license of the casino is what makes them limits its users that residing on the restricted country and not because the user accusation above. It’s absurd to consider it like that.  Cheesy

There was an issue back in January. The accuser deposited money into the casino but shortly Cloudbet contacted them to perform KYC because they believed he was from a prohibited jurisdiction which was okay. However, the user just wanted to terminate his account and get back the funds since he made no bet, Cloudbet insisted on KYC if he wanted his money back which was unfair.

But well the resolved the issue later. That's the only major complaint I have seen since then, and even before in this forum.

This is hilarious af. Is this for real email? This is the first to see this kind of KYC procedure for a gambling company. What’s your deal with them on how you come up of requiring KYC for your account? I believe a piece of paper written the current date and the id itself is sufficient to verify the authenticity of the documents. Taking a picture outside is bit over kill in my opinion.

But you should follow them because that’s what KYC requirements from there regulator.

And that to me is a very intrusive KYC method. Imagine having to go through the hassle of taking a selfie with a newspaper on one hand and your ID on another. How does Cloudbet want this verification to proceed?  Cheesy Do they think people have more than two hands to accomplish this?  Roll Eyes Anyway, I'd be wary of doing this verification near my place. They may have my address on file, but that doesn't mean that I am presently and physically there at all times. Better take the selfie near huge establishments.
