I still don't understand how they let you create an account with them from a restricted jurisdiction. I just connected my VPN to an IP address from London and this is what I get when I try loading their website

Meaning i have even zero chance of creating and account or even accessing the website from this restricted location

Maybe what cloudbet can improve on is not to let any player from a restricted location to place even a single bet. Just let them only withdraw their deposit to avoid such disputes because one thing am sure about is efxes  was counting on those winnings, and he won't be happy with the decision not to refund him anything.

Good point how they've created an account and how he continued to play in their platform if he is located in a place where you don't allow access, it's not reasonable, it's hard for a player to accept the fact the he deserves his winnings but the gambling operators are circumventing
the rules and the circumstances to favour them, he deserves his money even the one he deposited like what logfiles stated

Guys there’s lots of misrepresentation of facts here 1) the op submits documents of US residence, but then claims he’s not from US 2) He says he played from a country which is allowed as per Cloudbet terms, but refuses to disclose those countries to them.

As a gambler it always hurts to see whenever a fellow gambler looses his/her money, but in this particular case I don’t know who’s entirely right because Cloudbet are within their rights to ban his account because of those USA documents. However I can’t stop thinking had he used his original documents would Cloudbet have accepted it and allowed him to withdraw his funds?.

Quote

I'm also not located in the USA, I bet only when traveling abroad and located in legal jurisdictions. You need to make this right.

On top of this, they are now saying it's nothing to do with the misgrade but it's because I provided verification documents from a US citizen.  And that the decision is final that they are voiding all the bets because of this.  This is unacceptable.  They also said that I am welcome back if I am not on US soil, but I haven't been on US soil this whole time, and the verification documents I provided were playing it safe because I do not like to provide personal documents.

Cloudbet terms:

https://www.cloudbet.com/en/help/terms

Just as I was completing my post OP has has now claimed that he’s a resident of USA, but if you’ll see earlier he claimed that he wasn’t a resident of USA, and this new post has once again made this matter more complicated, but I’ll hope that Cloudbet will try and resolve this quickly.

I can confirm that the only thing that applies to me is that I am a citizen of the United States.  I travel abroad when playing poker on places like GG poker and party poker and betting on restricted USA sites.  My only proof of residence for the most part recently an apartment back in the USA.

As I stated I do use a VPN when connecting to these sites, and sometimes it defaults to USA but that's all I can think of.  When providing documents the most recent document I had on hand was an expired internet bill that went to my home address in USA and since I haven't been there for about 6 months I just stopped paying internet and that was like the last bill I could find.  I guess it was my mistake but I am looking for ways to prove I have been living abroad and working online in France and Mexico.

Regardless, it is definitely an out and it's not good practice.  It causes all sorts of problems when you freeze and take funds from someone.  This needs to be resolved somehow.  Please, I really really really would like to just move on.  If there's any way you can pay me out, cloudbet, I will appreciate it.  I have sent in the note from my landlord and let me know if there's anything else to show you that I am a US citizen living abroad during these pandemic times.  I appreciate it so much.

I am a resident of USA!!  I have an apartment there still.  However, I do my gambling when I go down to Mexico or Europe.  I've been doing this for years, since black Friday and Full Tilt and Pokerstars left.

There's nothing incongruent.  I am a resident, I still have an apartment there, that's where I get my bills.  I don't gamble there.  They're saying since I"m a US citizen and still have residence in US they can take all my funds and winnings.  How would you feel about that if you travel out of the country just to do what makes you the most money?

and PS, ever since pandemic hit I've spent the whole time out of the country.  Which is around when I made my account with Cloudbet knowing I'd be out of the country.  Hear me out please before you tell me I deserve to get robbed of the winnings.

Our Player Safety team confirmed, that they have verified your account and emailed you accordingly now, but I'm afraid as you have breached our Terms & Conditions by registering from a prohibited jurisdiction, you will not be able to continue playing on the site in the future.

With great interest I have Followed this topic. There are a number of points at play. The first thing I ask myself; and whatever someone has raised here, why does Cloudbet allow players to register from a country that is not allowed under their terms and conditions? There are several conceivable scenarios. Assuming you are a resident of the United States, there have been 3 possibilities with registration in my opinion.
1. You were in the USA and registered in the USA
2. You were in the USA and used a VPN to hide the USA IP address
3. You were not in the USA and logged in from that country.
4. You were not in the USA and used a VPN in from another country.

Can you confirm which situation was yours?

Cloudbet must block your access to the site if you want to log in from a location that is prohibited. If not, this still seems like a nice form of easy money making what they have now done, and only make problems out of situations when you have won money.

I was not in the USA and I used a VPN that sometimes defaulted to USA because it has the fastest server, not sure if you experienced that but I definitely have a residence in USA but I travel abroad to work online and also gamble.  Though I mostly stay put in Mexico last few months because travel restrictions are awful.

We could determine whether Cloudbet is really guilty of this and has acted unjustly. I assume that you also visited the Cloudbet site from your computer at home in the USA? Or did Cloudbet then block you with a page as mentioned above? If Cloudbet has allowed you to visit the website (and therefore also create an account and log in) then Cloudbet is wrong and they must take their responsibility and pay you all winnings. If you have had a block page in the USA, then I think Cloudbet is in its right. We leave out the VPN element here for a while, to get to the heart of the situation.

So you never have accessed the site from an IP address from USA, and only connected to cloudbet with VPN in other countries?

Yes of course, though I do have a residence in USA. This is why this is so tough to deal with for me.  I just want the funds and I will stick to William Hill and other fiat books.

So when you were in Mexico and were gambling on Cloudbet, where were you staying? Friends, family, hotel, rented apartment? Do you have any way of proving that when you gambled on Cloudbet, you did so outside of USA? A hotel bill, proof of a rented apartment or anything else that might help your case? How did you g online? Did you purchase an internet plan, Mexican sim card?

Listen, I'm happy to provide whatever I can in order to get paid whatever the winnings were.  I deposited tons of times and deserve to get paid.

I'm happy to provide stuff- but it's starting to get mad personal and this is all serious stuff.  I don't want this to leak into my personal life.  It is already affecting a lot.  It's really upsetting to me and I hope you can understand.  I don't want my entire life to be on display at this point.  I just want to get paid the large sum that was grabbed from under my finger tips.  Please if you guys can help, I'm happy to provide whatever I can.  I just don't want things to get too personal, do you understand?

Don't post any private information here or PM certain users asking you for it, that's not what I meant. But you should provide the proof to their support to help your case. If you are a US citizen who was outside of the US when you gambled, some bit of proof should exist to confirm that. I hope you are able to solve this to your satisfaction.

Did Cloudbet updated their case?
I think the biggest problem is that you have deliberately hidden the location of the USA, Cloudbet cannot do much about that in my opinion.

No, I sent them documents proving my travel itinerary and rentals, now they need to do what is right.  The funds are still locked, no withdrawal processed.

Yes, I was depositing and withdrawing large sums for many days.  Then they flagged it for review and froze the funds when I went on a downswing and was trying to secure my bankroll.

@efxes. That is normal practice for all casinos and gambling services against money laundering. Have you given your identification or has Cloudbet asked for your documents? You should have them ready, I reckon.

he said he was playing for days already . if cloudbet requires a kyc they should have conduct it before . i research cloudbet rules and kyc but i havent see that they require it  .

what did you do to secure your capital . by withdrawing it or  by holding the funds on your account and by not playing it ? but both acts are not suspicious  imo  . all gamblers withdrew or take a break  . maybe you have done other violations , try to remember it and update your post   .

Of course I provided my documents.  Still no resolution to the 65 bitcoin cash (around $15,000) sitting in the account.  I provided everything I could, I am patiently waiting to figure out how I can unlock the funds again.  I have sent in all the proof that I am living outside of the US since the virus measures, and recently out of europe as well.

It is really really really upsetting.  I appreciate your support to everyone who has chimed in.  I am patiently waiting and hoping I can receive the life changing money.  It is so awful.

To imstillthebest above,
There was some error with a mis-grade in two different balances, a BTC balance and a bitcoin cash balance.  They told me in an email that since I didn't contact support about it, that all wagers would be voided afterwards- I didn't even see the changed balance.  Not only that, the total value of their mis-grade error in the bitcoin balance was -.23 or .26.  The total value in my bitcoin cash balance at the time was like 100 coins or more which has a value of like 2.0 bitcoins or more.  So the mis-grade wasn't even noticed because it's two separate accounts, two separate balances basically in the same account.  Then when I go to withdraw, I assume they will take it out of the main balance.

So now they're saying I'm trying to steal money from them and then that all bets after the mis-grade are void even if I don't notice it.

These things are just wild stretches to secure a good amount of coin and not pay out.

However to sum it all up, they have said in the end probably since those reasonings for voiding my bet are so unbelievably angle-shooty and ridiculous, that it's just because of my jurisdiction and the permanent residence document I provided- even if I have been abroad since the virus happened and don't have a permanent residence outside of the USA but can prove I'm here.

How would you feel about the situation especially given you are doing everything right.  please Cloudbet, just return the money, I won't mess with your site if you don't want my action but give me a chance at a life again.  Need the money, I just deposited like 100 BCH before that, and I lost a bunch, and you can't even pay me out the last 65 BCH?  please.

Do you remember when you created a cloudbet account and when did you make your first withdrawal?

Do you remember if you ever made a withdrawal when you were in the USA? and if so, do you remember the day?

It is really really really upsetting.  I appreciate your support to everyone who has chimed in.  I am patiently waiting and hoping I can receive the life changing money.  It is so awful.

it is really something very sad especially in this time of pandemic where many people are losing jobs and are broke

So now they're saying I'm trying to steal money from them and then that all bets after the mis-grade are void even if I don't notice it.

If they never notified you of this issue immediately, why would you be responsible for their mistake?

My position would be that the cloudbet return your last deposit to you

Of course I provided my documents.  Still no resolution to the 65 bitcoin cash (around $15,000) sitting in the account.  I provided everything I could, I am patiently waiting to figure out how I can unlock the funds again.  I have sent in all the proof that I am living outside of the US since the virus measures, and recently out of europe as well.

My last deposit was 50BCH (and a few deposits before that in addition, the 50BCH was adding on), so really that would be so much appreciated to receive this back!
Here is the very last deposit:

And here are 4 other deposits I made that day, I was losing badly, the total deposits in the day were
24 BCH https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/transaction/0aa77c3a5bc46f9dcd68f5cc5a8b3bc0022a489e6cb52169ec2f068d6200ac5c
20 BCH https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/transaction/4a38b8c78869faac477e7599e3203c35aeb45df952bc47d0913668434f432a83
16 BCH https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/transaction/2e7d94c62df064ca773b1d5f070bd66fa9f8e6dd43ecc3561f8eb8f3b9a054b1
11 BCH https://blockchair.com/bitcoin-cash/transaction/b18dc22fcc787e1bbcc36d9137b4debbdb8e923dcf52dcce9bb10eee1f5763d3
and last one was 50 BCH

Then when go to withdraw, they freeze 65 BCH and tell me you can't cash it out, it's ours now.

I created the account when I moved to France back in March or April as of my recollection.  I haven't logged on in the USA.  I provided my permanent residence utility bill of an expired internet bill because that's all I could find for verifying the account with utilities.

Note: so really if they wanted to void the bets since the last day of deposits it would total 125 BCH (around 2.6 bitcoins)
