What do I need to successfully mine on Deepbit with my BFL Single ASIC?

Thx.

Uh, point your miner at Deepbit.

Also make sure you have failover pools setup.  Getwork may not keep it completely busy so shares will/can leak to other pools.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
A: Top-posting.
Q: What is the most annoying thing on usenet and in e-mail?

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

I did try but it's just not working as it is working on my other pool and fail over pools. Also solo mining is working well only Deepbit is not working. I would like Tycho to reply if possible.

I've had suspended payments on this pool for the good part of a year now. I first emailed about them to Tycho as instructed in December, and he said the payments would be unlocked in a few days. I sent another email over a month ago, and it hasn't been responded to. It's not much, a bit over 0.4 BTC, but I'd sure like to get it.

Tycho, could you please dig into your email inbox and get this sorted out?

Still no answer.

To save me reading the last 303 pages, is there a way to request higher difficulty shares, as am unable to find any where on the site for my worker. Using cgminer with this pool almost a year and with my hash rate now and going up again within the next ten days, I keep getting pool unable to provide work fast enough and dropping to failover pool. Would like the best work utility I could and wondered how.

Many thanks in advance.

instant payout did work for me as described below. you have to reach the minimum payment trigger and you are able to request full-precision amounts!

https://deepbit.net/help

"Minimum payment is 0.01 BTC and full-precision amounts are allowed."

And why not ? Less miners, more share of the pie  Grin just takes a little longer.

The share of the pie is always proportional to your speed if you mine long enough.

You just answered your question ... 'your speed compared to the network speed', so a stable pool adds to the income by reducing the downtime

So you like that Deepbit is a small pool, thus it is less DDOSed, so less downtime?
What about higher variance, large periods to find a block, thus unpredictable payouts?

Did i say small?
I said stable and it was such even when it was one of the first and biggest pools

How often do you find a block there?

Based on the current network and pool speed a block should be found each ~12 days

When DeepBit were big, people hated on them for that. Now they're small, people hate on them for that too. Do you have a constructive criticism to offer?

Hmmm, yes I see what you mean, but that doesn't really amount to constructive criticism, Gysur.

Finally sorted out lack of work / pool not supplying work quick enough error with my speed increase, adjusted staged work up by 20 in cgminer and all is good again Smiley
