The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Yeah, the beta client uses real chips. Open the cashier on the new client, click on "get chips" and it will pull them from your main account.

nice site im playing it but i dont like (all-in poker) tables with 2min buy-in 2max-buy in and blinds 1.99 small and 2 big one Those are for degens. Best to stay out of those, as poker is not provvably fair, and its 50-50 chance, so better play something provably fair, instead of playing those tables

tspacepilot, I think you messed up that quote ^^^
Yah, @dude who dislikes poker, it's definitely not (usually) 50-50 chance, figuring out what the chances are for a particular hand is part of the fun!

Actually the 1 BB games are 50-50 if played between 2 and mathematically less with multiple opponents. And you have to dodge colluders too so maybe less. However the 5 BB games are the fun games. They definitely involve some form of skill , as you can always fold.

I think I see what you mean.
But if you and I are heads up and I get dealt AA, then it's more likely that you don't have AA than that you do, so I think I have a better than 50-50 to beat whatever you have. Then, as you say, there's reacting to other player's moves, and that should affect the odds somehow (but in a less calculable way).

How am I wrong about any of those ? 1. Is poker provably fair ? 2. You are all in on the 1BB table, no skill required, no matter what so ever. In heads up odds are always 50%. 3. Isn't that right ?

How am I wrong about any of those ? 1. Is poker provably fair ? 2. You are all in on the 1BB table, no skill required, no matter what so ever. In heads up odds are always 50%. 3. Isn't that right ? 1) RNGs used to generate cards are fair but will not argue with you, or anyone else, if you belong to those people I use to define "rigtards" ( rigged poker theorists) because that discussion will still leave anyone of us on the same side. So I think you are wrong on this. 2) You are not forced to go allin: you have the options either to fold preflop or just call BB (and BB is 20% of maximum buyin at those tables). So there is a bit of skill involved (you should know what range of hole cards have >50% equity against another random couple of cards). So I can definitely state you are wrong on this particular opinion. 3) It is related to the previous point: if you have a clue of what to do, and depending on your oppononents skills, playing poker is definitely more convenient than playing any other casino games in which there is a predefined house edge (whose percentage depends on the game). So in some way you may be wrong on this one. Be aware it is nothing personal at you or anyone else but it's just to share opinions and I'm ready to change mine once I'm proved to be wrong.
