Def. going to expand the MTT list when we blow up early next year.
for now, let's realize SwC doesn't recognize DST, and everything may be 1 hr earlier to you.
20 chip 1k in ~25m BIG BTC in ~2h25m
Don't Get Shut Out / No Late Reg.... yet.
You won't be blowing up next year. Before you label me anti bitcoin, know that I'm looking at this economy from a bigger understanding than this whole collective thread. This is what will happen http://thewealthofchips.wordpress.com/2014/10/26/the-coming-poker-revolution/You do have a favorable option though. turn your rb points into a counterparty asset: Definition “Effective Rake”:
A winning player might exchange 5USD on site A with an a roi of 5%. The same player deposits 5USD on site B with an roi of 4% We say that the “effective rake” on site B is higher than site A.
The profitability in terms of “effective rake” is hidden on every site by many contributing factors. The most significant are the make-up of the player field (winning players vs depositing players), and the winning distributions. These factors are not definable for the players community. Problem:Players cannot accurately assess the value of their money in exchange for chips on each given site (effective rake), and they do not have the ability to exercise their dissatisfaction so they are left with no “pull” in the industry. Conjecture:
If players could accurately define the effective rake of each site AND have the option to transfer their bankrolls between sites, this would cause pressure on sites to offer a superior product. Solution:
The players community creates a digital poker coin, and encourages each other and other major entities in the industry to accept and adopt this coin for the various daily goods services and transactions they provide. Why this works:Adam Smith, FA Hayek and John Nash, explained extensively that the only way to truly and accurately assess the value of something is to put it on a free market exchange. By forcing sites to adopt digital currency technology, the players will be able to properly evaluate effective rake on each site while simultaneously gaining the ability to exercise this option on a free market (decentralized digital asset exchange). This will pressure sites to offer a product of superior value. Won’t sites oppose or create their own coin? Yes we want them to, those that participate will be favored and trusted by the players, those that don’t will lose out. Those that adopt crypto currency reap the benefits of near instant and near fee-less transactions and players’ trust. There are many sites already today that use crypto, and many that are looking for a way to capitalize on current major player and monopoly “inefficiencies”. Team up with other sites, coaching sites, stables, forums, players, pros, etc. then players will naturally learn about crypto and come to your site. When you create a universal crypto asset for poker everyone has incentive to work together... don't tell me that is what bitoin is for, its not....not at all. http://thewealthofchips.wordpress.com/2014/10/12/the-achilles-heel-of-the-centralized-poker-industry/1) Ideas are good 2) As blockchain technology matures, I imagine future changes to SwC leveraging the tech more than just using bitcoin 3) Your defensive tone could indicate that deep down you know counterparty isn't ready for prime time yet.

1) agreed but its not my idea i stole it from here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideal_money2) the future is now 3) it says something that you said "could" (good), but what do you think might burst counterparty into primetime? (hint poker revolution) Thank you for the prompt and "playful" response, i am a fan, i think what you are doing is great. However we are missing something obvious, and few people can understand this, bitcoin was created to be a universally exchangeable currency with a stable printing rate to put pressure on governments to stop printing money. Sites are perfectly comparable to the central banking model. This means we are over-analyzing the problem. Bitcoin and bitcoin sites is the end result but the step to get there is a community poker coin. It turns the entire community from competitive to cooperative, literally changing the game type. This is the secret and power, it could be done in a day, with a few trusted peoples starting the idea, and the shift to crypto would be near instant. I realize you won't agree or understand the significant yet just would be happy to know you heard the concept for future references Gl buddy I think a lot more people are rooting for yall now!!!

1) traincarswreck - IMO bitcoin is the current ideal currency for internet poker, I have an initial "uh" feeling for all things alt, but I'd like to think if a side-chain alt or a counterparty asset ever makes sense to me (fully admit I don't fully grasp the counterparty system at this stage, I have only read ~1-2hrs on the subject) we'll explore it. If you have any currently successful counterparty assets to point me to, I'll gladly take a gander. 2) not adjusting the BIG BTC GTD at this stage, we are working hard on a software update that will be a big level up, at that stage we'll likely re-evaluate all GTDs, and I'd bet we go up across the board in a few months, with bitcoin relative value in mind when those changes are made. 3) YTCracker just dropped his new epic "Introducing Neals" A+ brilliance IMO: https://ytcracker.bandcamp.com/album/introducing-neals

Micon, I think your DST problems just went away (at least for US people, and will soon go away for others). Daylight time is no longer a thing until late spring next year. We are all on standard time now.

Right, they didn't switch in the Spring because: [...]SwC doesn't recognize DST, and everything may be 1 hr earlier to you.

Hi SWC,
Little question about the table starter rackeback.
How often is the rakeback distributed ? I remember starting tables yesterday and the day before but I don't see anything in my history.
Does it have to be a freshly created table, or just any 6+ table with 2/3 players only ?

It's weekly. I believe every Sunday night (or Monday early morning.) Any 6+ table w/ 2-3 is correct.

Last I heard, the mavericks guys were adding that feature in their current software soon , so should be up at seals as well. When they had the beta client up to test the new games I checked it out and the player notes worked, so I'd assume that will be part of the coming update. Not sure when that will be, but can confirm it at least exists. Thats great to know. Lets hope its out soon. A marker feature like stars might be good too.

What the fuck's up with this site. Playing heads up 3/6 all-in AJ suited vs. KJ, king on river. All in pre-flop KK vs AQ, Ace on river. And like 3 more but I can't remember what the cards were. Sketchy as shit to constantly see that.

It's normal. That is not to say likely but it happens everywhere including live. At least you don't see what I saw live which was somebody making 5 of a kind in 100-$200 7 card stud and the floor saying that the hand is live and wins because it was the best hand. I don't remember the losing hand.
All I can suggest is appropriate music to help you deal with it. Nowadays music is the only form of self medication other than caffeine that my body will allow.
ETA: I didn't even remember my signature when writing this post.

How does someone get 5 of a kind when there are only 4 of each card?
