I have taken previous bubbles into account and I am expecting definately sub 300, but not lower than 200.

Glad someone else agrees with my thoughts  Cheesy though I don't see it going below 250

After hours i found reason why some 280x (my Vaporx too) have low hashrate.

Reason was: combination a different card in one rig with eror scrypt configuration.

My working configuration below for combination 270s and 280x.

What was a problem ? PARTIALLY LOADED CONFIG

many config using this one in "gpu-threads" : "2,2,1,1", but this isnt work in combination different card. Configuration failed in loading miner and is only partialy loaded.

You must use only: "gpu-threads" : "2" or "gpu-threads" : "1" and for other card you must found working configuration in TC (for example best configuration for R9 270 is with "gpu-threads" : "1", but combination with 280x wont be work correct).

My advice: - if you have combination of different card dont use gpu-threads" : 2,2,1,... did not work.

Imho this is a solution for many trouble with really low hashrate in any other coin.

280,280,270,270 (130,130,69,69 khash/s) or with Intensity - 12 for 270, but with some HW  (130,130,85,85 khash/s)

Code:
,
"scrypt-jane" : true,
"sj-nfmin" : "4",
"sj-nfmax" : "30",
"sj-time" : "1388361600",
"api-listen" : true,
"auto-fan" : true,
"failover-only" : true,
"gpu-fan" : "30-85",
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"intensity" : "12,12,11,11",
"gpu-engine" : "1050,1050,1000,1000",
"gpu-memclock" : "1500,1500,1250,1250",
"gpu-powertune" : "20,20,20,20",
"kernel" : "scrypt-jane",
"kernel-path" : "/usr/local/bin",
"no-pool-disable" : true,
"temp-cutoff" : "84",
"temp-hysteresis" : "3",
"temp-target" : "72",
"worksize" : "256",
"thread-concurrency" : "16384,16384,11265,11265",
"lookup-gap": "2",
"queue" : "0",
"scan-time" : "1",
}

Power consuption for complet rig is 665 W (280x - v 1.087, 270 - v 1.1)

Yet i am looking for 270 better combination gpu-thread 2 + TC + Intensity 12. for avg. hashrate above 85 khash/s

Use yacminer 3.5, problem solved.

I run -g 1 and match or beat those numbers on 280x and 270 cards.

280X - 135kh/s

--scrypt-chacha --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600 --no-submit-stale --expiry 10 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --gpu-engine 0-1020 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-fan 0-100 --temp-target 75 --temp-cutoff 100 --temp-overheat 90 --auto-gpu --auto-fan --rawintensity 8192 --buffer-size 2560 -g 1 -w 256 --lookup-gap 2

270 - 92kh/s

--scrypt-chacha --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600 --no-submit-stale --expiry 10 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --gpu-engine 0-1000,0-1000 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500 --gpu-fan 0-100 --temp-target 75 --temp-cutoff 100 --temp-overheat 90 --auto-gpu --auto-fan --rawintensity 5120 --buffer-size 1400 -g 1 -w 128 --lookup-gap 2

I dont say that is the best configuration, only working for me  hashrate up from 70 to 130 for 280x

But thx for yacminer, i tried your configuration but not working for me = 280x failed at start and 270s give hw error. :/

You are missing something or missing ram...I use 8gb of ram in Win 8 64.

I could still use confirmation on this but if you are missing system ram - increase your pagefile to whatever is needed.

The technology that gets the most adoption always wins! We need to get accepted on as many exchanges as possible and as many websites accepting Ultracoin.

That way once KnC and others, ship their large scrypt ASICs later this year, there are going to be a lot of GPU farms looking for the next big thing. We dont want them going to Vertcoin/Execoin etc. We need to stand out.

Personally im getting a bit worried about execoin. They have had constant growth in the 15 days and not even listed on any decent exchange. I wouldn't want them overtaking us as a potential main player.

As an achievable target i think we could get on BTER and BTC38 within the next 4-6 weeks if we target them the way we targeted Cryptsy via emails and twitter!?

I have Win7 64bit but only 4 GB ram

I increase virtual ram in Win but i dont know if this work with Yacminer.

Failed message from Yacminer for 280x is:

"enqueueing kernel onto command queue..." and 270s make 20 khash.

Can you confirm, that i could combinate different configs GPU to one config file ?

You can.  Your issue with not being able to use 2 threads on 1 card and 1 thread on another card was true of older miners, but cgminer-kalroth, sgminer and yacminer support different numbers of threads on a per-card basis so long as you have ADL available.

it sounds like your thread on the 270 bubbled over to dynamic memory, while the 280x had a buffer-size too high.

I think this depends on your system and how much ram is being used for other purposes. Increase virtual mem to 20000mb in win8.1 gave me +10% hash rate, but I also have other things like antivirus, VNC, coin clients, etc, running on a 6 gpu rig with 8gb ram. If your system is running less cards and you do not have much else running when your mining then you might not notice an increase in hashrate by doing this. Note that you can set virtual memory to only be used by programs that run in the background (Win)

Question? I am trying to figure if GPU-Z is reading correctly on win 8.1. When watching the "sensors" tab for the gpu it says that Memory Usage "dedicated" is 0 mb but the red bar beside it is full up to 100%. The Memory Usage "dynamic" says 2319 mb (3gb cards) and the red bar shows about 75%. Also I thought that cgminer used "dynamic" memory by default and not sure how to change this. Anyone know, maybe ThirtyBird could chime in, thanks.

Note: I tried to download another program for monitoring (can't remember the name...oh ya "hwInfo") but all I got was a bunch of other freeware and had to jump through hoops and do surveys so I quit trying.

Ok, so on what numbers i must start ? I lost in Raw and Buffer... :/

Did anyone calculate the difference in power consumption between scrypt jane and scrypt?

My cards run a lot less hot, it must be a drastic change in power consumption.

My 8 x 280x rig at the wall:
LTC = 2300W
UTC = 2000W
HVC = 1400W

Really?  I'd figure there would be a bigger difference between LTC and UTC considering the sheer difference in room temperature and GPU temperature.

It's still a good 15% or so difference. But it's not a lot more really.
But that is still enough to definitely run the cards much cooler than Scrypt.

FYI - My 280x each hashes at 730kh/s on Scrypt and 138kh/s on Ultracoin.
Running at 1025mhz & 1065mv so they are under-clocked and under-volted.
I can clock them higher to get 770kh/s on Scrypt and 145kh/s on Ultracoin.

Awesome work as always xweb!

BTW, the news feed text is light grey and very hard to read. Can that be darkened?

Yes, yes it can.  Grin I'll get that fixed up right now! Thanks for the heads up.

Edit: Just to confirm one thing. Much of the site's text is light grey, including the feed body text. Are you only having an issue with the feed? For instance, have a look at the text here: http://ultracoin.net/mining.html

Same light grey for much of the static text, unless they are rendering differently for you..

I've tried both Chrome and Maxthon. Actually, much of the site is fairly hard to read.
The hyperlinks to the pools are black. But the rest of text is light grey as you say.
Just a little darker shade of grey would definitely be better and more legible IMHO.  Smiley

Has there been a fork or major upgrade in the last 72 hours as Crypto rush UTC wallet is offline and they are saying it is because of a fork.   I have looked through the last few pages and see no mention of one.
