Been testing InstantX in the test environment - absolutely amazing work by Evan.

Full transaction confirmations are blindingly quick with Masternode locking.

InstantX is looking very solid - cant wait for the production release.

Try DS too, I just did 3 rounds in 10 minutes. The DSTX messaging system is working really well  Grin The next release I might just go ahead and blind the whole masternode system. The security at that point will be insane, each round theoretically is as secure as how many inputs you used. So 3 rounds will on average be the same is 30-60 rounds.

What do you mean by blind?

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

What do you mean by blind?

Masternodes currently know where your money went, they see your inputs and outputs, which is why the anonymization process uses more than 1. Unless the masternodes are colluding and recording everything, it's quite anonymous as it stands. The next stage is where you pick 20 masternodes from the list of 2000, then you split up your transaction and send 1/20 through each one and they relay it to the one talking to the three parties. This means for an 60 input transaction, there's 61 nodes involved. Way more secure.

Does anyone here use BTer?
I've used them loads and never had an issue, but today I sent them a large amount of DRK (over 12 hours ago) and the transaction is still stuck.
Blockchain Explorer says "Not yet redeemed."

Is it possible BTer is not synching on purpose in some attempt to control order book?

Another question this raises is that if a sent transaction is not yet redeemed, could there be something implemented to pull back, i.e. cancel the transaction from the sender's end?
Because at the moment it seems like in cases like this, we're at the mercy of the exchange.

I suppose this could be a moot point with instant x though.....

Actually it's a bit better, because I was just including 1 parties outputs. Let's say there's 15 outputs per party and 3 parties, thats 45 outputs. So 16 rounds would be as secure as 16*45 (each inputs has a separate relay). 720 rounds! At that point even 2-3 rounds is more than enough.

Wow !! Bitcoin was red only few minutes ago and WHAM! ... huge leap.

 Its like whales are pantomining bitcoin's price like drk does IX tx. "lets see how much we can make the price rise instantly". As a side effect DRK still at 0.08, went from 1.83 to 1.95USD in minutes.

Love it, couple that with no longer exposing masternode IPs and we are on to something.

This is absolutely great, with blinded masternodes, the old and inaccurate argument about having to trust masternodes will no longer make any sense. You already don't have to trust masternodes as they are selected randomly for each round so you would need to control like 80% of the network to really follow transactions, but with this there is just no space for bs propaganda against Darksend.

Absolutely awesome!

If possible, I would love get one of those flow charts (like the ones we had for the original DS and RC4 DS) so that the layman also understands the awesomeness of this development. Tongue

Blinded MNs+ IP obfuscation (still in the pipeline, I assume) = Darksend is bulletproof from an anon standpoint as well as a FUD standpoint. Can't wait!   Grin

What does Evan mean when says he's going to "blind" the masternodes ?

What does that mean technically speaking ?

Currently masternodes "see" where their inputs and outputs are coming from/going to, which necessitates multiple rounds of anonymization for DarkSend to be reasonably secure. By knocking their lights out if you will anonymization will occur much faster with fewer rounds and is even more secure.

Thanks - nice explanation ! Smiley

Obvious next question - why were "their lights" ever on in the first place then if it's such a great idea for them not to be ?
