Man in the middle attacks are easier on expired SSL certs because the MITM can spoof the certificate authority as most browsers don't validate the CA sig against their local CA lists once it's expired although user's can do this manually if they need to.  Another thing is once a cert has expired if the certificate owner loses their private key they can't get the compromised cert onto a revocation list.  So...if you validate the CA sig yourself, the common name is the correct domain, and you're sure the cert owner still has their private key, an expired cert doesn't make any difference...otherwise you're at more risk of receiving a spoofed cert from a MITM.

You know, I was one of those people who wanted Dash to do so many things (especially in the beginning of this project).  I knew we could do them, I still have a pull in my gut that wants Masternodes to run an auction site like ebay, LOL, but although I knew why the team didn't want to pursue these avenues, my "alone in a candy store" feelings still persisted.

But today, I finally realized, that is I actually know - it's cracked my resistances - that the Dash team is the wisest team in crypto.

Our singular focus on making Dash digital cash - money that's as easy to use as cash - only online as well as in person - will win the race. 

Sure, we'll have times when we seem boring, our price will stagnate, and even fall.  Then people will begin using Dash, slowly but surely, we'll get merchants to adopt Dash, and then Dash will be the most usable, most wanted currency in the world.  Because it works.  And because it works perfectly

Hey everyone, please go read about our March/April proposals and participate in their threads on DashTalk.org.  We really need your input.  And if you haven't read up on the marketing proposal, I suggest you do.  It's very well defined, and we really need to get started with Marketing yesterday!  We need your YES vote (my opinion) on this.  It essentially creates a new division of Dash, a "core marketing team" that has a lot of talent in it.  They will work closely to the Core Developers with all they do.  Please consider this one, because I do believe the team of Dashers on it are capable of doing a great job (just as I think our last effort was great until cancelled) and although this grew out of a lot of contention from the last project, we shouldn't slow down, but move forward.  Please vote Yes (unless you of course really think it's wrong)

Why Dash is ready:

1.  Dash is fully usable, NOW.  Just because it will get better, doesn't mean we shouldn't encourage merchants and users that are already in the crypto sphere to adopt to Dash.
2.  It takes time to really get your name known.  We can't wait until next year when Evo is out, we need to get started! 
3.  Even though, admittedly, actual users will be slow to convert from the general public at this point, there are a LOT of companies out there that are preparing for the eventual move to crypto currencies, and they're looking at projects now.  If we are advertising, and putting our project "out there" they are likely to like what they see, especially the energy and marketing, which shows we have the ability to convert the public.

Maybe it holds the price down until the arbitrageurs get their DASH buying funds moved over there? If demand is real then it will only slow things down a little bit.
