Thanks for posting this. It is nice to see people like that get more interested in DASH. I concur, good reading and happy to see ETC looking into the governing of Dash. We really have found a great feed-back model that surely other projects would be interested in adopting.

This steady price rise for dash will surely bring in new users to the ecosystem. It's a little discouraging to see the spend Dash page empty :\

Mostly in Masternodes, there is over 4000 masternodes and increasing, that means there is at least 4 million DASH tied up in the masternodes. That leaves around 2.6 million DASH that people are holding in their wallets.

I think is fair to say that most people that have more than 1000 DASH run masternodes.

why the massive spike in price here
just long overdue. most of us here saw it coming..... snipped... In my opinion...DASH is way under market capped. It should be BTC, ETH/ETC(what ever ends up with these 2), DASH in the top 3. LTC should have died off already..... Cyrtocurrencies need to move out of the dark ages... DASH, with it open team of developers and governance mechanisms, is poised to set the standard. Gone should be the days of pseudo handles and secret developers. This is real money now people are playing with and there needs to be transparency. Who is behind a "currency" is most important during its development stages.
My take is DASH should be at least have the marketcap of LTC. IMHO. How the hell something like Steem coming out of no where is worth more then DASH is ridiculous. But slow and steady wins the race.
Richard
i agree. DASH is way undervalued and is poised to explode upwards very soon. i expect the move to be massive and fully expect the masternode count to go down as people take some profits. snipped.... this may be the start of the explosive move i was talking about, it sure looks like it. the big move i was predicting would see at least a doubling of our market cap and probably a tripling or quadrupling+ in a very short period of time. we'll see!

Must have been a great feeling for all investors of DASH. It has been consistently increasing its value. It sure is paying off to be the first to implement masternode.

Its been a long time coming and I am sure the growth and awareness has only just started. Dash has some of the best technology going, Decentralized governance, Instant Transactions with over 4000+ Masternodes and Private Send...Dash Evolution is going to take all this to the next level and make it simple to use. Cannot wait! The core and extended teams and slack channel people are all working as hard as ever and we owe our gratitude to them!

@Charles Hoskinson Steemit AMA - https://steemit.com/ama/@charleshosk/charles-hoskinson-steemit-ama[-] cryptobiker What's your top 5 crypto's at the moment? Reply [-] charleshosk Two that are unreleased, ETC, Dash and Lisk currently interest me the most. I also am following Zcash closely, rootstock and several other projects. ------------------------- [-] lebubar Following your visit on Dash slack public channel. Can you share with us, what do you think about Dash and his governance system? [-] charleshosk I really love what I've seen so far and it's really exciting to see the core developers being paid from the system itself. I've assigned an internal team to do a deeper due diligence on the technology and economics of Dash. it seems he like it :-)

Hi people, congrats on the price increase, it reflects the hard work of the team. I was thinking of moving some of my BTC into Dash. If so, it will be for the long term rather than just to make a quick buck. You have interesting things happening i see! But I have some questions over who the large stakeholders are and what % the dev team hold? And the impact of the new expensive ASICs? I'm worried that the bulk of the wealth may be in the hands of the few. I would appreciate some quality feedback, views, hopes. Good to see Charles having his say, Warm wishes Paula

good article but i wish dash was getting a little more exposure. on the next proposal like this i think we should insist on requiring 50-100 (or whatever) dash wallets to be set up and a small bit of promotional dash to be given away. that would insure dash was always front and center. seems like there has been lots of bitcoin being tipped/given away along the way but not dash, huge missed opportunity imo. with the rise in the dash price/funding maybe that could still happen? never hurts to ask. i was happy to see the jackalope proposal include that. i wonder how many wallets they got set up so far?

Good to see Charles having his say, Warm wishes Paula i think evan said all core team members (including himself) owned around 10% of the current supply, that was several months ago. if you are comfortable with btc's distribution you should be happy with dash. satoshi has 1 million+ btc and hal 1 million+ and a handful of other people own millions of btc from the early days. afaik user otoh is the largest dash holder with around 400k dash but i think he said he sold some. evan is probably the next biggest holder with 200k+ but you would have to ask them again as that was months ago. i'm more concerned with btc's distribution than dash, i'm concerned a btc whale could cash out and crash the btc price along with the dash (and all cryptocoins) price. i grow less concerned every day that passes but it is still a concern. one reason i sold most of my btc for dash long ago was because it was just sitting there doing nothing and dash was earning over 15% at the time (now 10%+) with masternodes. now with instantsend, privatesend, governance, funding, evo and everything else i have no plans to sell any of my masternodes.
