i havent heard anything from trollz in this thread... are we doing it right, this time ? Maybe their puppet master isn't paying out any bounties until next month? I find it good that the trolling has moved elsewhere, but rest assured, they'll be back before we know it!

Johnson An educational video series on Dash and blockchains in general funded by the generous members of DashChat.co I'll second Dash school! It's an excellent series that shows the ins and outs of crypto for new users. I wish something like that was available a few years ago when I started learning more about BTC, Darkcoin and all other kinds of assets!

I hear this coin on all the videos says low fees or no fees. Yet I got charged .2 dash to withdraw from polinex. How is that low fees? New to Dash so this really surprised me.

The Network can't control what a private exchange charges you! Ok I guess I understand that but what is the fee then if I send it to someone? Or maybe you could point me to a video that talks about fees. There promo vids really talk up low to no fee transactions

The Network can't control what a private exchange charges you! yep, there are exchange costs for withdrawing coins and there are seperate Dash fees for using InstantSend and PrivateSend. These Dash fees (IS & PS) will be much lower (10x lower) after update 12.1, which is currently being tested on Testnet. red : old values green : new values https://github.com/dashpay/dash/commit/2f93a0d208eebe52a7254efa9655a187852da934

So this will be a manditory wallet update that brings down the fees? Any time frame? Thanks!

So this will be a manditory wallet update that brings down the fees? Any time frame? Thanks! The lower fees are just a minor part of update 12.1 which will indeed be mandatory. It will lay down the groundwork for a much larger update called Dash Evolution which will bring decentralized API (DAPI) for merchants, more userfriendly wallets for customers and social aspects to Dash (and much much more). Update 12.1 is currently in testing phase and depending on the testing progress should be out relatively soonish (i'm guessing 4-6 weeks) Dash Evolution is scheduled to be released somewhere end next year i think... and that will truly revolutionize Dash and how people can use Dash. https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/12-1-testnet-testing-phase-two-ignition.10818/https://www.dash.org/evolution/

For normal send fees are i.e. 0.00001 DASH...

I went back and checked polinex my balance and then what I got when I withdrew I was wrong but it looks like the total fee was .11150676 Dash.. But inside my Jaxx wallet it says Mining fee .2 thats where I got .2 from was the Jaxx wallet mining fee UPDATE::Weird just looked again on polinex missed it before tells you the fee right there it says 0.06150676 DASH (0.25%) So now I am real confused

Hi all, I am still kinda new and I read up on the very first post here that DASH can be CPU mined. From First Post -------------------- Standalone CPU Miner: Windows: http://dash.org/downloads/xcoin-miner.zip-------------------- I have a brand new spare computer(windows operating system), sitting at my shop. Would I be able to download the above miner-zip file and be able to CPU mine DASH on my spare computer? 1) IF, is this the latest miner program ? 2) Also, where could I find tutorials on mining with that software ? Thanks in Advance, Ed, aka-mcptrman

No. It's very outdated and slow. I think this is the most recent multi-miner: (you want to mine x11 which is DASH's algorithm): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1326803.0As for instructions, I think mining pools have a "getting started" version.
