Here's the new schedule for development:

- RC2 (masternode payments, DGW3) : May 14th
- RC3 (1000 DRK limit and denominated change) : May 21st
- After this, I'll find someone to vet the code and open source.
- RC4 (Bugs, security issues)
- Testing, then opensource

Awesome! I wish I was online more the past few weeks, but RL has got me running like crazy.

I'm psyched that we are so close to having this run in the wild!

You beat me to it  Cheesy.

You have to trust the devs of darkwallet because they can see and record all transactions going through their server. But yet they claim their service to be trustless ...

I am sure I have read somewhere that you need the passphrase in ""s, eg. ./darkcoind masternode start "passphrase"   -   but I am old and my memory sometimes fails me.

I'll be having my 1st go at a masternode later today, hours of baffled incomprehension to look forward to!  Tongue

Yah, I always use quotes, which are usually needed if you use a lot of weird characters... Hope someone can clarify if something is missing here for me.  I'll see it tomorrow if anyone can, got to go to bed now Tongue

Start darkcoind on remote machine.
On your local machine specify the IP at launch with -masternodeaddr=YOUR_SERVER_IP
Unlock your local machine wallet with your passphrase.
On your local machine, ./darkcoind masternode start

Something really seems to be missing because my remote server does not see my local wallet.  I'm assuming the last line above should read "on your server, ./darkcoind masternode start "passphrase" but since it was written that way, I tried starting the masternode on my local machine, and it still didn't connect to my server.  Could my problem be that I'm behind a router?  Maybe that's what I'll try tomorrow, plugging directly into my modem, maybe that will work?

Are your ports forwarded correctly?

Also, do you have 1000 DRK in that local wallet you are using?

How are you unlocking the wallet? ./darkcoind walletpassphrase 'tante's sweet password' 30?

I always thought this was a horrible design decision. I applaud their efforts but implementing it as a browser plugin ensures I'll never be using it.

hey, its a mainstream innovation tool... when the market matures (security etc), this sure will be handy (for mainstream adoption and petty cash!

Probably not, LOL.  I was too tired to be doing this last night!  I'll try again later today Tongue  I think it is the port forwarding, thanks!!!

Unless someone is doing something illegal, I don't see why they'll get in trouble using the browser plugin?  There are plenty of things you can do with your bitcoin that are perfectly legal!  I'm glad people are trying to accommodate Bitcoin with some way of giving people with Bitcoin privacy.  Unfortunately, for other reasons, I don't like this solution.  My problem is I don't trust it with my privacy nor my coins.  But if it's all you got, it's all you got.

Also, glad to know I wasn't losing my mind late last night when the pages were going backwards.  Being as tired as I was, I thought I was losing it, LOL

Expectation of a MUCH higher price in the future.  Although maybe still better to mine other coin and sell to buy DRK, not sure...
