Yup Doge is whether you like like it or not good for all crypto. It's the gateway drug for a lot of people who see bitcoin as expensive/scary. Leave them to their demented happy world. Some shibes will turn into DRKdoges.
Heh, Doge introduced me to the crypto world when i had 0 parience to learn anything about it. The cute face and the great community helped a lot. I admit that the spark has died, mainly because i don't see innovation behind the coin, but one thing is for sure, Doge definitely has its place in the scary crypto world. I confess that now i'm fully zombified into a DarkDogeWe have an App for that too

Just curious about mining Darkcoin in Windows environment. Basically the speed of hashing for GPUs. I'm finding my hashrate is considerably lower then those posted by many. Is there a difference in hashrates for a particular GPU in the windows vs the linux environment.
Thanks.

Well that explains that :p. So I moved one wallet.dat to its corresponding masternode, but when I try to start the masternode I get -bash: ![y: event not found I took a lot of norco this morning, so if somebody could hold my hand and tell me it'll be ok that would be awesome... I guess you have an exclamation mark in your password. Try enclosing it in single quotes. By the way it looks like you have just given out a piece of your password, if so then maybe best to edit your post. Lol - I tried double quotes earlier but my linux-fu is lacking. Plus I'm stoned as fuck (I don't take this crap very often). That was it thanks! No worries! I had the same problem not long ago and also tried the double quotes before I figured it out Another way to use special characters in bash is to escape them with a backslash (\). This works even with quotes or double quotes. E.g. \" or \' tells bash not to use these as quotes but simply as the character " or '.

Do you have the latest version of the wallet ? (see my sig) I have the ubuntu daemon from your sig, but darkcoind --help says it's v0.10.8.5-2-g8e508af-beta. Not 10.8.6. That's the latest version, yes? Just double checking.

I think that can cause some trouble as the other one is already open (I'm assuming you are talking about opening a local copy of wallet.dat), but it is super easy to check balance on the server from your computer with the command line or with something like Putty.

Correct me if I'm wrong...thnx What I done (im a noob) was make a new wallet on my local machine, get address 0 (help>console>getaccountaddress 0), sent the 1000drk to that address then encrypted it and backed it up. I then shut darkcoin-qt on my local machine and moved the backed up .dat file to the server with darkcoind not running. Then proceeded to build the masternode. All seems to be showing up.
