Here's what I want: the same product, with the image on the right changed to Barney Fife, looking as tough as Barney Fife can look (preferably right into the camera) with a Darkcoin coin for his badge.  Who can make it happen?

Well done !
Tx for the update

What's with the infatuation with "The Man"?

Oh wait.  Darkcoin is very similar to a government entity.  Complete with it's own tax division and tax collectors.

So it's "Pay the MAN" or else?

This coin is all about generating income for a small few.  It's original focus on anonymity is an afterthought.   The only people defending this masternode tax are the people running masternodes.  Most of them are from a small core group that is making the decisions for Darkcoin.  These are the people holding tens of thousands of Darkcoin. Many of those coins were instamined within a few hours after launch.  These clowns want you to believe that those coins have already changed hands multiple times but they haven't.

Miners!  Don't let Darkcoin tax you 20% to give to a few large DRK holders.  Mine on a pool that doesn't impose this pathetic 20% tax.  It's foolish to pay 20% when you don't have to.

Mine on of of these TAX FREE pools

All I can say is that DRK is doing something right if miners are getting upset.

They are the biggest bunch of lazy, hypocritical parasites I've ever come across on bitcointalk.

Also, you can easily take a pop at them without any fear of redress whatsoever because, contrary to their own propaganda which would have you believe they're the champions of the crypto-ethics supreme, the only thing that interests them is a profitability equation which, if it works out, will have them glued to your network like flies to a cowturd.

Have a nice day and may the hash be with you !!!!  Wink

Exactly, miner's wishes are really the last thing a cryptocurrency should be worried about. They get upset and leave, reward goes up, they come back for more monies.

Alright that qualifies as a good response. More meme and photoshops needed for trolls. NOT freaking same explanation again and again and again.

We may ask an other question. Why some add 'premined' to some coins, is this a progres? Anyway inventing again the same 'premined' concept once the coin is fully active is great...

Are you serious?  You were one of the few people that I thought was staying above the fray and not wallowing in the shit.  Then you go and post this.  You are just another a greedy masternode operator.  Maybe you should stick to posting your worthless charts and analysis.

Could you please explain how miners interest in profit is any different than that of masternode operators?  All you greedy masternode operators do is brag about the profit you're making because that's all your interested in.  Yet you chastise miners for the same thing.  This is the most hypocritical community on bitcointalk.

Did you hear that miners?  You're nothing but a bunch of lazy, hypocritical parasites.

This is what the masternode operators think about miners.  Why would any miner want to pay you assholes 20% of their profit?

MINERS!  Do you see what going on here?  They are not just taking 20% of your profits they are calling you parasites.  You are second class citizens in the Darkcoin world.  DON"T comply with these assholes.  MINE on a pool that pays for 100% of you mining efforts.  Giving these assholes 20% is foolish given their true colors towards you.  DON"T PAY THE 20% TAX.

MINE ON A TAX FREE POOL AND KEEP YOUR 20%.

Don't pay the 20% tax levied by "The Man"  Mine on one of these pools that don't subject miners to the unfair tax.

I recall hearing the MN concept announced several months back - still convinced today this is the most brilliant thing to hit crypto since the very concept of block chain.

The trolling is reaching a fever pitch, can't wait to see where it goes from here :-)

wow Mintpal breached, didnt see that coming.. its even more important now to just keep a minimum amount of cryptocurrency
on exchanges.

note : they are only breached for Vericoin for which they compensate by hardforking the coin to pre-assault state

Miners build coin and maintain network for months.  Masternode operators show up to make easy money.  Darkcoin core group runs most of masternodes and decides that they want more DRK.  masternode operators meet in private and devise scheme to transfer wealth from working class miners into the pockets of the wealthy elite.  Darkcoin imposes a 20% tax on the workers and gives it to the the elite.

Miners revolt and refuse to comply with the 20% tax and move their hash power to a pool that isn't imposing the 20% tax.  masternode operators don't get their tax payments and cry like little babies.  Darkcoin rethinks it's method of masternode payments and changes to a per Darksend fee.  Thus charging the people actually sending anonymously using Darksend the fee's needed to run the masternode network.  Miners are happy because they no longer are subjected to a 20% tax.  masternode operators are happy because they still get paid.

The masternode network is currently based on a flawed methodology.  It is unfair and is nothing more than a money grab by a few large darkcoin holders.  The people that should be paying the fee's to the masternodes are the people that will be using darksend to make anonymous transactions.  Doesn't anyone find it odd that darksend isn't even functional yet the masternode operators are already getting payments?  What are they getting paid for?

Why are masternode operators getting paid for a feature that isn't really functional yet?

I agree the incessant and laughably transparent trolling of this thread has kept it at the top of the stack for weeks now!
I doubt even 1 newb has been swayed by the childish repeating of FUD by certain individuals.

the latest round of crying about the MN payments just shows everyone that there really is nothing even the most ardent naysayers have to throw at DRK.
talk about clutching at straws........ Roll Eyes

I mine DRK and have no problem losing 20% to MasterNodes that provide the double service of Anonymous transactions while promoting a proliferation of vital network nodes.

Hard forking to recover the coins... That's pathetic and totally undermines the concept of decentralization. Obviously for the makers of Vericoin it's all about the money.
Otherwise sucks for MintPal though.

Are you serious?  You were one of the few people that I thought was staying above the fray and not wallowing in the shit.  Then you go and post this.  You are just another a greedy masternode operator.  Maybe you should stick to posting your worthless charts and analysis.

That's ok. I've had run ins with miners all over the place and don't mind having another one.

Clearly I don't consider that post to apply to all miners, but the hypocrisy tag comes from them trying to pretend that they're interested in anything other than profitability.

I'm probably less scared of calling out that hypocracy than most people because I don't consider miners a "sacred cow" like many and I know they're never going to leave a profitable coin. Furthermore, arguments from miners based around some kind of pretence at ethics - such as the ones that you've been posting - are about as convincing as Janet Yellen claiming she's interested in "Sound Money".

Your attempts at polarising this debate are made even more ridiculous by the fact that miners have first call on masternodes being that they have first call on the coin. So don't come with this tribal cr*p as if it's some kind of petty class war. The case has been well made for the policy benefiting both the mining AND tradiung community in equal measure, yet you've not addressed any of it, choosing instead to post mindless garbage that's not in the interest of either.

Just to demonstrate what a fraud you are in your defence of "miners interests", in every single one of your posts you've omitted to discuss the one single thing that might be relevant to them - mining profitability.

That's because you know you're on weak ground there and don't stand much of a chance at convicing anyone. Better just to stir up the dust and use the age old "divide and rule" tactic that lets you off the hook without having to make the case.
