wow.. i just noticed we are number 2 in the most viewed posts of the altcoin announcement thread ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0) just some more posts and we can beat dogecoin with most viewed posts... edit : okay okay .. actually a lot more posts to beat Dogecoin views Dogecoin : 1261934 views Darkcoin : 1067747 views NXT : 1001442 I just wanna thank all the trolls for the unintentional support they are all showing us, we all really appreciate it. I agree the incessant and laughably transparent trolling of this thread has kept it at the top of the stack for weeks now! I doubt even 1 newb has been swayed by the childish repeating of FUD by certain individuals. the latest round of crying about the MN payments just shows everyone that there really is nothing even the most ardent naysayers have to throw at DRK. talk about clutching at straws........ I mine DRK and have no problem losing 20% to MasterNodes that provide the double service of Anonymous transactions while promoting a proliferation of vital network nodes. the funny part is it is still more profitable to mine than it is to have a MN for the cost involved

All I can say is that DRK is doing something right if miners are getting upset. They are the biggest bunch of lazy, hypocritical parasites I've ever come across on bitcointalk. Also, you can easily take a pop at them without any fear of redress whatsoever because, contrary to their own propaganda which would have you believe they're the champions of the crypto-ethics supreme, the only thing that interests them is a profitability equation which, if it works out, will have them stuck to your network like flies to a cowturd. Have a nice day and may the hash be with you !!!! Are you serious? You were one of the few people that I thought was staying above the fray and not wallowing in the shit. Then you go and post this. You are just another a greedy masternode operator. Maybe you should stick to posting your worthless charts and analysis. Could you please explain how miners interest in profit is any different than that of masternode operators? All you greedy masternode operators do is brag about the profit you're making because that's all your interested in. Yet you chastise miners for the same thing. This is the most hypocritical community on bitcointalk. Did you hear that miners? You're nothing but a bunch of lazy, hypocritical parasites. This is what the masternode operators think about miners. Why would any miner want to pay you assholes 20% of their profit? MINERS! Do you see what going on here? They are not just taking 20% of your profits they are calling you parasites. You are second class citizens in the Darkcoin world. DON"T comply with these assholes. MINE on a pool that pays for 100% of you mining efforts. Giving these assholes 20% is foolish given their true colors towards you. DON"T PAY THE 20% TAX. MINE ON A TAX FREE POOL AND KEEP YOUR 20%. Don't pay the 20% tax levied by "The Man" Mine on one of these pools that don't subject miners to the unfair tax. nicehash.com ghash.io x11.ltc1btc.com darkcoin.cryptocurrency.tw dark.hashrate.eu dark.v2.dedicatedpool.com If any miners think that they are not second class citizens in the Darkcoin world, all you have to do is read what tknormal posted. Here it is again. All I can say is that DRK is doing something right if miners are getting upset. They are the biggest bunch of lazy, hypocritical parasites I've ever come across on bitcointalk.I want to make sure that this Darkcoin supporters post stays visible for all to see. This is what they think about you miners. They take your money and then call you lazy parasites. This is the face of Darkcoin. Arrogance and greed.

wow Mintpal breached, didnt see that coming.. its even more important now to just keep a minimum amount of cryptocurrency on exchanges. note : they are only breached for Vericoin for which they compensate by hardforking the coin to pre-assault state That hardfork is going to be a challenge and even if they succeed it sets a really bad precedent. Scary thing is that if this was a month or so ago DRK is the likely target because we were at the height of our popularity to date doing about 5000BTC a day on Mintpal. Guess being in a bit of a lull turns out to be a blessing in disguise.

Why are you paying them 20% They are not providing any service at this time. According to the latest White Paper you are limited to sending 10 DRK. There are limitations in place to improve the anonymity of DarkSend, you can send up to 10 DRK.Did I miss something? Has that 10 DRK limit been lifted? If not then the masternodes are not doing a damn thing to earn 20%.

Warning: this is a genuine question/concern.
What happens when people mine in pools which have not updated yet to the latest version, thus which is not paying MN's 20% of the block reward?
The mined blocks with previous versions of the Darkcoin daemon will or may be orphaned when RC4 is released or when the enforcement would be activated now during RC3? The mined coins would then be worthless to the miner?
However, what happens when a non-compliant miner immediately sells his mined Darkcoins on an exchange? Does this mean that coins which anyone has purchased recently, may at some point be removed from their wallet, as they may have come from (orphaned) blocks mined by a non-compliant miner?
If that would be true (and I don't know if it is), consequently, it seems to me that Evan has no choice NOT to use the enforcement switch without hurting some people. Technically yes, but the effect might be a unpleasant change for some people?
If I'm wrong, great, then I don't have to worry about this, because I just bought some more before realizing this, but if I'm right, it means the enforcement switch is not really a valid countermeasure after all. This would mean that anyone can continue to mine on non-compliant pools and take 20% more revenue and not have to worry about this being fruitless?
Can anyone confirm or rectify my understanding?
Thanks,

History usually repeats itself and Darkcoin will be no different. Something else will always come along. Darkcoins glory days have come and gone. It's now a slow descent into oblivion like hundreds of coins before it.

Bunch of crap.
You Sir, won the official Bitcointalk award for the most annoying, stubborn and unintelligent trolls ever. Day by day posting non-existing issues under the false "concerns" for the "people". You are making joke out of yourself, and your trolling is very obvious. Go back to whatever scam coin you hold. I'm surprised that folks here still carry on discussion with you. Back to ignore.

With enforcement, and the exchanges on the correct version, any noncompliant blocks will be orphaned instantly, the coins will not confirm on the exchanges, the miners will not be able to sell them. They can go on mining on their incorrect fork all they like, it will have zero effect on anyone else. No problem.

This shojayxt is just hilarious. He's claiming making a lot of money with DRK, then said enough with DRK but still non-stop spreading FUDs about DRK, even with bold fonts, capital letters and go everywhere in bitcointalk forum to continue to attack DRK. The most hard-working troller ever. What's his goal? To warn and protect new users/miner? I doubt about it.

That is not correct. Only invalid blocks after enforcement begins will be orphaned. Anything before enforcement will remain unchanged. The block reward is 5 coins. Enforcement on means it must be split 4+1 and off means some pools may give all 5 coins to the miners. No coins will appear or disappear after enforcement.

Mining on pool that isn't enforcing the 20% tax is the logical thing to do at this point. You will receive 100% of your mining efforts. If and when any form of enforcement is implemented it could have serious consequences for the coin. Basically the masternode network is based on a flawed methodology. The payments to the masternodes should be coming from the individuals using the network for anonymous transactions. Not the miners securing the network. I think Darkcoin is doomed unless they revisit the method used to pay the masternodes. The thing Darkcoin should have done was work on giving users places to actually spend their Darkcoins. As it is, even if RC4 works and you can send as many DRK anonymously as you want. There is no place to spend them. Darkcoins are basically useless as a payment option. But hey, the masternode operators still get 20% for doing nothing.

Don't you mean "Being in decline".... Only thing is - your not at all confident about that happening, otherwise you wouldn't be spending 12 hours a day stuck to this thread trying to make it so. Either that or you've just become so bitter & twisted that you need to offload some of that brain-rot on us all before it consumes you in a big ball of mould Go take a relaxing trip on your new boat before you self-destruct.

I recall hearing the MN concept announced several months back - still convinced today this is the most brilliant thing to hit crypto since the very concept of block chain.
The trolling is reaching a fever pitch, can't wait to see where it goes from here :-)

One of the dumbest things that I've heard so far. How long did it take for Bitcoin to become a valid payment option, 6 months? Please.

It takes a lot of time and energy to troll this hard. Its fairly lame stuff, but seriously, if you thought Darkcoin was a waste of time, you wouldn't be wasting your time. Time that is of limited supply on this one way journey we are all on. You give up time that you could otherwise be using to speak with friends, go out and sit in a park and enjoy fresh air, visit with family, or help a charitable organisation. You allocate this opportunity cost to your time for Darkcoin. You would not do it if you didn't think Darkcoin had a future. Thanks for pointing that out for all of us. Just remember, what doesn't kill you just makes you stronger. Muchas Gracias, for making this community even stronger.

If we goes back to basics:
Look at the implementation, and 'crypto' as a concept. Crypto are not designed for money loan. And copying what Bank does, has no interest here. So a % is absurd. It had been wiser to look at a good POS+TOR like implementation, but this coin does nothing about that.
We have just an implementation that works as a parasitic POW process, and the anonymity added is minimal.
--- Reading the previous posts - I see a lot of people with only one goal taking over 20% of the new coins. The implementation of the anonymity was not done properly... And nobody here want to fix that...
Do you really think that such a coin has a future? Mastermade here is only the new 'premined' concept: 'postmined'...
