I've been thinking about this one.....

Masternode = Proof of Stake mixing node only for the wealthy requires 1000DRK and imposes 20% tax on Miners
Miners = Doing the actual work to secure the network.

The mixing nodes require far less resources, and are basically nothing more than a wallet with some additional code activated; this is giving far too much reward value to the early adopters and wealthy.  This is bad for the coin.

Mining is the democratic process that will determine the future of this coin; I'm not mining on a pool that pays masternodes. Enforcement will cause a hard fork with the miners abandoning the enforcing branch.

Fix the masternode so everyone holding the coins participates, regardless of wallet balance and make it truly peer to peer proof of stake/proof of work hybrid. Make everyone a Masternode, not just the wealthy/early adopters.

This will create many men in the middle, most of them working for governments.

I agree the incessant and laughably transparent trolling of this thread has kept it at the top of the stack for weeks now!
I doubt even 1 newb has been swayed by the childish repeating of FUD by certain individuals.

the latest round of crying about the MN payments just shows everyone that there really is nothing even the most ardent naysayers have to throw at DRK.
talk about clutching at straws........ Roll Eyes

I mine DRK and have no problem losing 20% to MasterNodes that provide the double service of Anonymous transactions while promoting a proliferation of vital network nodes.
the funny part is it is still more profitable to mine than it is to have a MN for the cost involved
You might forget the cost of running your rigs while one MN need only 10$/month for running VPS?
true it does cost some to run the miners but for the price of 1 MN at current prices i could have an extra 60Mh/s mining which would get me somewhere between 2 and 3 drk per day
thus i really dont see some peoples problem with masternodes....
EDIT: i really should stop looking at this it is making me want to sell my MN and buy some more rigs....

I am neither rich nor early adopter yet I decided to risk & put a few of my paychecks into masternode in exchange for possible prospect of continuous income. My investment raised the value of the coin and I am being very slowly rewarded for my risk.

Granted, we need a certain amount of miners. However there is no need for gigahashes/petahashes due to self regulating difficulty. Even if the ratio between mining and MN changed 50:50 there would be enough miners here "working" as the difficulty would decrease accordingly. 80:20 ratio is fair and if you think masternodes bring more returns then mining... guess what you should do? :-)

yes, please no more gun pictures in the context of getting anyone updated. We wanted to ask nicely everyone to update! and it worked very good we can say now! this picture can only do harm...

Fully agree stop with the gun posts already, be more creative, post a pleasant image with it and ask nicely.

Make something along the following line: The concept it simple. Update and help dark grow and value increase, it is in everyone's best interest miners, MN owners and coin holders.
allright.. post removed ..

Great Thanks!

I don't take shit from anyone and I don't run from a fight.  I never have and I never will.  One thing I do is never forget.  I'm not going anywhere so get used to me.

This isn't a fight. You came here just to be a wanker. You cover yourself in stupid glory. If you don't like what is going on, piss off somewhere else.

You too. Loser.

You can try to drag me into your pimple face tirade, but I couldn't careless. go ahead and waste your energy.

Well, that's kinda embarrassing for you, isn't it?

Masternode = Proof of Stake mixing node only for the wealthy requires 1000DRK and imposes 20% tax on Miners
1000DRK is wealthy? Really? When you make bad decision, hating on those who make good decision does not make your life better.

Miners = Doing the actual work to secure the network.
As evidenced by the number of miners whining about a good thing, quite a lot for miners haven't done even the basic mental work to understand what's going on int he very thing they've put money into hardware for...

Lots more of examples of how I don't know shit about what I'm talking about.
You've thoroughly proven that you have no idea what you're talking about. Learn, or just keep making a fool of yourself...

You have broken a very important rule; Tis better to be silent and thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt...

Masternodes and miner have a symbiotic relationship without either of these two there is no DRK, The fair thing would be a 50:50 split
So miners have it good IMO

Don't forget the time to maintain your rigs too. For 60Mhs you need at least 20 GPUs and maintaining is suck. Too many hassle. I have thought like you too but once the MN is set you could forget about it. I just checked once per day to see how many DRKs I get paid.

I don't need to convince anyone that I have a life.

It seems you do actually.

After watching the progress and the lack of any coherent methodology I lost faith in the coin

b.s.

"Loosing faith" in a coin isn't the same thing as making incessant, antagonistic, baseless posts day after day just because everyone didn't agree with you.

I'd be surprised if you'd recognise a "coherent methodology" if it smacked you right in the face, much less be capable of making any authoritative judgement about one.

The truth is that you and slapper are no more than a pair of butthurt whiners that haven't really got a clue what you believe in unless it's making you shedloads of cash. Sure DRK might last and might not, it might go down and it not, the merits of its various technical approaches remain to be seen. But the sh*t you've been posting on here has nothing to do with any of that despite your attempts to convince anyone of such.

There's been some informed and well made arguments both for and against the strategies being deployed by this coin, but none by you. So quit trying to pass yourself off as anything other than a background grumble because that's as much substance as is left in any of your arguments and nobody buys it anymore.

It would be quite a job for him at this point. Pretty sure it would take up so much time that it would be evidently counterintuitive...
