Earn your own DRK coins by mining at the multipool. Not only that, you can earn DRK using your old ASIC hardware on SHA256 and SCRYPT coins! DarkCoin by xpool - DRK Multipool PROP reward system DRK Payouts Scrypt & SHA256 & X11 Algo's DDoS Protected High Performance Backend Simple setup and usage 0% Fees while in BETA To mine: How does it work?
xpool offers 3 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt and X11. Each algorithm runs on a shift. Currently there is no set interval as there needs to be enough found and confirmed blocks to make trading worthwhile on the exchanges. We don't want to finish a shift only to find out, the exchanges are going to eat up the payout in fees or limit the withdraw with a large minimum. The confirmed coins are traded throughout the duration of the shift automatically to maximize the profits from exchanging them into DRK. Once enough confirmed blocked are accumulated, the shift is moved into "Trading" status while all the exchanged coins are calculated into DRK and then queued for payment. Once all the coins are confirmed as successfully traded and exchanged, the DRK payments are sent.
As the pool picks up more hashing speed and sufficient DRK can be picked up from the exchanges, the shifts will be set to a schedule and payouts more frequent and less worry about the exchanges. This is a growing phase so the more hash support the better. If a DRK block is found, there's no exchanging or loss of fees as it can simply be moved into the X11 payout queue.
The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your older ASIC equipment to earn you the more desired DarkCoin. Cheers and Happy Hashing!
Donations welcome!

Shouldn't a cap be set? I mean, there is an obvious conflict of interest here... Maybe, but it would need to come from Kristov himself rather than people just randomly stopping donations. For the community to decide the cap we would need to know how many hours he is going to spent going over the code, how much he would be paid per hour for similar actively by other entities, whether or not he is just reviewing or will be providing snippets of improved code, etc. Plus if you read the reddit it seems like this not the first time that he has used this model and I have not heard anybody calling him out on his integrity. If he finds issues with the code or design, and provides suggestions or even code to fix them, then he would deserve another round of donations imo. Don't disagree. In fact, to put things another way for anybody that has fears of the the donations being seen as bribery. This might have actually been a concern if Darksend was going to forever remain closed-source and the marketing was going to be based on "well it is closed-source but Kristov Atlas said it was OK". However that is NOT the case. Darksend will be open-sourced. And if (and I don't believe for one second he would do this) he purposely gave a false endorsement so that his donations would increase in value -- then as soon as the code was open-sourced the coin would fall flat as anybody would be able to see any and all warts. The reason to donate is so that he feels motivated to spend a lot of time on the code looking for any and all bugs, suggesting new code, etc, -- so that when it is open-sourced we don't have a bunch of day 1 exploits, hacks, or other disasters. The donations are for his valuable time. And the more of it he spends on the code the better for all parties involved with Darkcoin. Exactly... For something as important as a code review you don't want someone to rush it or feel like their time is not appreciated... For this exercise we need to not act like little kids playing with funny internet money thinking 10 DRK is making someone hella rich. 200 DRK is about the daily rate for a top shelf technical resource, in the real world it's peanuts... We thank Kristov for his time and dig deep to ensure he feels appreciated. This is not a bribe, this is acting professional and paying someone for their time... Moreover, if he were in this because of the money, he could invest some real money before publishing his review (in drk if it were to be positive or in some other form if it were to be negative). But he won't because his most valuable asset is his reputation. That is worth much more than any amount we can donate to him.

Sending another 5 DRK, it's not much but if we all chipped in we can ensure this fantastic resource is well respected and well paid for his valuable time. We want Kristov to spend as much time as he can on this... This is an excellent exercise in risk mitigation and it shows why DRK is one of the best run projects in Crypto!

I'm sure once he reviews the code he'll be holding what we have donated and buying more :-)

A code review should be unbiased and independent and now drk is being donated to review code? It's like the drug company creating a drug and asking the FDA to approve it by providing some cash to them. Independent code review goes out the window as soon as you donate drk to review code. Because that is what the outside world will see and they will jump on it for the review not being balanced because money and/or drk was donated to have it reviewed. I suggest that the drk that's donated is converted into $ first and then he's paid in $. You can't turn this donation back now. Think, people..! I understand your concerns, myself I deal on a routine basis with conflicts of interest as part of my job. However, we need to evaluate the risk: - if the DRK are quickly liquidated, no problem
- if he holds them, there could be a temptation to withhold potential critical weaknesses- however Kristov is a professional, and his reputation is at stake here + a crash of the price following an exploit would certainly not be good for his investment. I think the motivation factor by implicating him with DRK far outweighs the COI risk.
And in my opinion, the review is not really aimed at PR - open sourcing the code will definitively cover this aspect of reassuring people on the DRK technology. This review is more to protect the DRK devs and community against an undiscovered massive flaw in the code that could potentially be found by malicious people before or after the code release and critically damage the coin, both operationally and image wise.

None of this is relevant -- the code will be open-sourced and then anybody can have a look. The purpose of the code review is to find bugs and fix problems. The more he feels obligated to perform this function the better. If nobody believes the review becuase he was paid in DRK, but over the course of the review he finds and fixes even one major bug then it was more than worth it. Paying in cash?.... If you don't know how much paying in $ over the net is a pain in the ass then why are you in this space?

Today's SHA256 shift is shaping up to have another 20+ DRK payout. If you want DRK, hop on http://www.xpool.ca with your ASIC's ASAP! Wasn't lying! We just sent out 28.3180 DRK for the last SHA256 shift (24 hours). X11 followed up with 15.9534 DRK and SCRYPT with 2.7286 DRK. SHA256 is again, doing well and will be another good payout if more miners get on board. Cheers! Today's SHA256 is already at 18+DRK to payout, hoping we can break into the 30+ for this payout.

So how much longer do we wait for RC4? Are they going to release it in July?
Late July Could be delayed however You need to wait for a prerelease on testnet within the coming days, so we could have a better idea regarding release date

Evan said 2-4 weeks (for testing) a few days ago, so yes if the testing goes well we will see RC4 in July. However, knowing what coming in RC4 -- the end of July or first week in August makes little difference.

DarkCoin by xpool - DRK Multipool what's the period time for payment in current rate of X11 hash? Been about ~24-36 hours the last couple shifts. To be daily it needs to be consistently ~2Gh/s+ You can see the stats here: http://www.xpool.ca/profitsThanks!

I think it's too soon to give an exact release date for RC4, but I can assure you we're all working our asses off to get it done as quick as possible. I'm doing marathon sessions multiple times per week to try to get the new user interface completed in time for RC4 so Darkcoin will not only be stronger, but a LOT sexier! I've bitten off quite a lot though, admittedly. The UI overhaul is so extensive I'm having to re-write a brand-new Qt interface from scratch and stitch it together seamlessly with the guts of Darkcoin... that process is still in its early stages, but I expect a great deal of progress to be made by this time next week. Regards, The DRK Lord
