Earn your own DRK coins by mining at the multipool. Not only that, you can earn DRK using your old ASIC hardware on SHA256 and SCRYPT coins!

DarkCoin by xpool - DRK Multipool

PROP reward system
DRK Payouts
Scrypt & SHA256 & X11 Algo's
DDoS Protected
High Performance Backend
Simple setup and usage
0% Fees while in BETA
To mine:

How does it work?

xpool offers 3 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt and X11. Each algorithm runs on a shift. Currently there is no set interval as there needs to be enough found and confirmed blocks to make trading worthwhile on the exchanges. We don't want to finish a shift only to find out, the exchanges are going to eat up the payout in fees or limit the withdraw with a large minimum. The confirmed coins are traded throughout the duration of the shift automatically to maximize the profits from exchanging them into DRK. Once enough confirmed blocked are accumulated, the shift is moved into "Trading" status while all the exchanged coins are calculated into DRK and then queued for payment. Once all the coins are confirmed as successfully traded and exchanged, the DRK payments are sent.

As the pool picks up more hashing speed and sufficient DRK can be picked up from the exchanges, the shifts will be set to a schedule and payouts more frequent and less worry about the exchanges. This is a growing phase so the more hash support the better.
If a DRK block is found, there's no exchanging or loss of fees as it can simply be moved into the X11 payout queue.

The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your older ASIC equipment to earn you the more desired DarkCoin.
Cheers and Happy Hashing!

Donations welcome!

SHA256 again took the lion's share of DarkCoin on today's shift. We sent them 36.5377 DRK when the average hash rate was only 3.62TH/s. The hot coin on SHA has one day left of PoW, so Friday should be another highly profitable day for SHA256.

X11 came out with a decent 10.7698 DRK with an average of 280MH/s while SCRYPT with only 2.7098 DRK but had only 65MH/s for the shift.

Cheers & happy hashing!

SHA again takes the cake with 40.3320 DRK sent out to miners just now, beating out yesterday's shift. X11 had 5.6002 DRK while SCRYPT sent out 4.8987 DRK.

Cheers!

my 3x antminers at aprox 590 GHs took home 3.1 drk for 18 hours mining

Agreed - except take out the green and red text. You could leave the icons green and red though.

Just keeping everyone up to date with Darkcointalk. Super exciting all the time!!!!

Quote from Tante:
Quote
"Also, one of the exciting opportunities that Masternodes provide, is that they can host the blockchain, decentralized, for lightweight users. I hope this feature happens soon. So only the masternodes, mining nodes and people who want to have a copy of the blockchain ever need have it. And yet it will still be stored in a decentralized fashion."

This is very welcome news for me, I love the electrum bitcoin wallet, simple and secure, runs on anything with python, forces users to have a decent passphrase, no backups ever really needed, except of your passphrase.

 Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

Anyone care to explain to a newb like myself how the electrum wallet works?  I know it's a lightweight wallet, but how do the inner workings work for a "normal" coin like bitcoin?  I know some functions will be different for our coin, but I'd like to understand how it works in general.  Thanks Cheesy

Also, if you haven't donated to Kristov Atlas yet, remember he is doing everyone who holds Darkcoin a HUGE favor by reviewing the code for us.  And if everyone donated a dark or more, he'll be able to spend more time with us finding flaws, which Evan will fix and make the coin so much stronger.  So please do donate to him Smiley

I know, I'm lurking all the time, but don't have much to say lately.  But I'd like to learn more about the electrum wallet.  Guess I'll go find the website, LOL.  Got to go to bed now though, but hopefully there will be something to read when I wake up, LOL.

Nice ta see ya too, CHAOSiTEC!

Technical question if I may, don't laugh I'm a Linux n00b.

My server says DarkCoin Started Successfully, however when I do ./darkcoind masternode list | grep (My MN IP address) I get nothing back.

I'm going down the VPS route, this is a new instance that I generated from an existing backup of another instance.

Do I need to open port 9999?

How do I do that in Linux?

On mintpal there was a buy of 5.6 BTC. There was no such big sell order. How the fuck was that buy possible without processing several sell orders?

they listed it (0.01140240) for sale and it was instantly bought 493.00drk  for 5.62138320 btc. i saw it and tried to buy a piece of it but was too slow.
they were waiting to buy because there was no sell depth and an order of that size would have shot the price way up.

It's simple. These are bots to fake buy support and create some volume.

If you wanna buy that much at that price place an order and it's certain you will get a bag in return Wink

stop daemon. Generate new privkey for MN. Change privkey and external ip in darkcoin.conf. Restart Daemon and MN.

From discussion of the newly-proposed NY law for crypto:

"One particularly controversial aspect of the law appears to ban the creation of any new cryptocurrency by an unlicensed entity. This would not only put a stop to virtual currency innovation (other Bitcoin-like monies include Litecoin, Peercoin, and the mostly satirical Dogecoin) but could theoretically put Bitcoin’s anonymous creator, known by the name Satoshi Nakamoto, in danger of prosecution if he failed to apply for a BitLicense." (Plenty more. It's not pretty)

Implications for DRK?

NY State Virtual Currency Regulations.

I get paid fiat to give a view on stuff like this, and this is my view on stuff like this for free.

Quote
No Licensee shall engage in, facilitate, or knowingly allow the transfer or transmission of Virtual Currency when such action will obfuscate the identity of an individual customer or counterparty. Nothing in this Section, however, shall be construed to require a Licensee to make available to the general public the fact or nature of the movement of Virtual Currency by individual customers or counterparties.
p.26

Requiring data, including identifiable data, to be made available to the general public, e.g. on a block chain, is not to be constrained by regulations.

Data about transactions is required. The parties involved in a transaction using the services of regulated businesses or those deemed to require regulations, i.e. they are acting illegally if they do not register, are required to obtain details about transactions. But those details need not be made public.

Dat right there is privacy that encompasses Darkcoin. No identifiable information on the block chain, yet parties to transactions are still required to identify themselves if going through businesses.

Some T&Cs businesses have to tell customers:

Quote
transactions in Virtual Currency are generally irreversible, and, accordingly, losses due to fraudulent or accidental transactions may not be recoverable;
p.35

If you execute a transaction, you may not see the money again. Transactions can be irreversible.  I.e. if you use eCash, you can't get your money back, caveat emptor.

DRK is not going to be bound by regulations. Those businesses that use DRK just have to comply with kYC, know your customer, rules. Just as they do today.
