Tried searching this up but no clear answer.
Just upgraded from the 9.12.32 wallet - ran fine - no problems to 10.15.16 - uGH.
Synching is waaaay slow. Everytime to change a tab the bar says (not responding) then it does.
I even installed twice. And my routine is to completey uninstall prev wallet (after copying dat file of course) , then using ccleaner both cleaner and registery cleaner, rebooting. Then run new wallet install. Opening new wallet, close....put new .dat file in and then let it synch up with nothing else running on computer.
Very rarely do I ever have a problem. 10.15.15 first time hung at 5 hours after running all night. Second try got it to synch very very slow but it did. This morning its 30 hours behind and pretty much doesn't budge, still does the (not responding) for a sec when switching between tabs.
Any ideas, advice or experiences appreciated.

Try 10.15.17
Also, did you create a new wallet, or just updated the QT? For RC5, you need a new generated wallet or might run into issues

I just updated to the latest Mac wallet. It takes about forever to synch, hours for like 400 blocks, and it utilizes the CPU at 100% and is unresponsive. Darksend is disabled. I thought this behavior was history. It also doesn't get the OS version its running on right. The console has DarkCoin-Qt[4070]: WARNING: The Gestalt selector gestaltSystemVersion is returning 10.9.0 instead of 10.10.0. Use NSProcessInfo's operatingSystemVersion property to get correct system version number.
And kernel[0]: process DarkCoin-Qt[4070] thread 178743 caught burning CPU!; EXC_RESOURCE supressed due to audio playback
And the app bundle never returns the version info, its always $version. Its not very hard to fix that, please do that, while you're at it.

Try 10.15.17
Also, did you create a new wallet, or just updated the QT? For RC5, you need a new generated wallet or might run into issues meaning, you should back up your old wallet (should already have been done) then rename your old wallet.dat file, generate a new wallet.dat file, and finally send your coins from the old to the new. OR you can open the old wallet.dat, go to the console and type dumpprivkey (accountnumber) and get the private key to each of your account numbers, then generate a new wallet (after backing up old) and go to the console and type in importprivkey (privkey) Your funds should show up in the new wallet then ready to denominate. Which reminds me, it's FRIDAY! Lets DarkSend our funds together, it's time for the giant orgy on the net! LOL

The only issue I can confirm is '$version'. Make sure you have latest wallet version (getinfo command should give you "walletversion" : 60001) and for sync issues try removing peers.dat

2. Masternode IP obfuscation will make the MN network basically invisible as well if done right.
When is this being built? What is the priority? Shouldn't the priority of this be higher than instantx? I agree it should be, but seems like the "flashier" instantx will be arriving first. Actually, I am worried that IP obfuscation is off the table as I haven't heard anything about it from Evan in months.

Actually, it's been replaced with a multi-path routing algorithm. Instead of the one direction communication like the old way, this will support 2-way communication without revealing your IP. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/open-source-announcement-and-future-plans.2528/

Good news thanks

Oh dear, that's exactly what I was worried about. I'm seriously worred these kids are going to get themselves in trouble with that IPO stuff. They're so young and reckless, but I don't think they're out to scam. However, a scammer can easily take over, just like moohla did with mintgox.
