Increasing masternode count is useless if the price continues to drop. The idea was that as masternodes increases the price will go up. But it so far doesn't go up which means: More masternodes=less payment/per masternode ->leads to-> dumping of masternode darkcoins-> leads to downward death spiral.
On the contrary.... More Masternodes > leads to > stable foundation of network > leads to > trust > leads to > preferred coin of choice > leads to growth in usage > leads to > new services build upon the masternode network > leads to > more usage > leads to > darkonomy/ecosystem > leads to higher prices for Dark

my windows wallet-qt also hangs while syncing, had this with 10.15.16 and newest 10.15.17 version. it does not sync to current block right now - even after restart - and it shows a warning about "nodes need to update" at the bottom
try removing the peers.dat file (dont delete the wallet.dat !!!) and adding the following nodes in your darkcoin.conf : addnode=54.187.228.106:9999 addnode=68.226.51.134:9999 addnode=192.241.246.214:9999 addnode=93.95.228.131:9999 addnode=94.23.148.203:9999 addnode=212.129.12.103:9999 addnode=81.134.134.100:9999 addnode=108.61.211.107:9999 if that doesnt help try -reindex in the target of the shortcut (path\darkcoin-qt.exe -reindex) Hi, can you get ordinary wallet for me to exchange the coins for another ?

Chose send.using normal non-anonymous transaction. Have to work. Vtw. I wouldnt use exchange to change wallet from old to new one. What i would do is: Rename old wallet to whatever.dat on client closed!!! Start client it will create new wallet.dat encrypt it and getprivkey backup wallet.dat on some usb sticks copy address of new created wallet. Close client rename wallet.dat to new-wallet.dat rename whatever.dat to wallet.dat Start client send using non-anpnymous funds to new-wallet address wait 1confirmation close client rename new-wallet.dat to wallet.dat open client and you have your new 60001 wallet with your coins on it. No exchange to much risk recently.

anybody knows about withdraws from crypsy !? I am waiting since 2 hours and nothing !
dam I hate these exchanges ! always worried
Don't sweat it. Last drk withdraw I let sit for 12 hours, then opened a ticket, then got the withdrawal within an hour. Cryptsy requires patience. And an occasional kick. Hope you get your coins back. That's why i use bitfinex. I think if bitfinex becomes the main exchange for DRK. It's win-win for both side...

The wallet executable on windoze 7 64bit is terrible - generally slow & very unresponsive, it takes an age to sync & is pretty unusable while doing so - & not much better when it's finished. I see a few members have commented on this problem also - is the issue being looked into? Thanks Let me guess...synchronizing the blockchain on a Commodore 64 diskette ? I'm on Win7 64 and the blockchain synchronized in a matter of minutes (from 0) and the wallet is working perfectly fine. Maybe because i'm on SSD ? Maybe because you have a shit 4500rpm laptop HDD ? Who knows... Edit : Could it be that you are using an Asus Eee PC 900 ? Don't lie to me. Please, Commadore 64 is so 5 minutes ago... Amiga 500 is where all the BlockChain Bandits are these days...

1111 masternodes!
51% of those are probably run by TLAs to gather information on the other 49% owned by honest individuals 90% of those 49% are probably hosted on systems compromised by TLAs, which gather information on the remaining 4.9% of uncompromised nodes For security in obscurity to work reasonably well, you need lots of other legitimate traffic to hide in. That's why the US Navy wants everybody to use TOR; the larger the userbase the safer our spooks' communications hiding among them. How does DarkCoin intend to solve the chicken-and-egg problem created by a lack of users discouraging adoption? You could simulate background noise traffic, but that gets expensive with tx fees. Because of this bootstrapping economics conundrum, I don't see DRK's obfuscation-node based approach ever being able to compete with Cryptonote's protocol-level zero-knowledge ring signature approach.

CryptoNote??? Have they got a working GUI wallet yet? That used to be the running joke with Monero, I am a bit out of touch with the scene however, DRK keeps me busy.

FYI, I bought some DRK on Bitfinex two days ago. The transaction showed in my acct as soon as I refreshed my browser. I decided I did not want to leave this on the exchange so I withdrew it to my personal wallet. The email requesting withdrawal confirmation arrived in my inbox within 10 seconds. I clicked confirm, and my personal wallet registered the unconfirmed transaction in less than 10 seconds. What surprised me was that almost instantly--no more than 10 seconds, and probably less than 5, the transaction was added to my wallet balance as confirmed! I do not remember seeing this happen this fast before. Have instant transactions already been implemented???
This was my third round of transferring fractions of BTC to Bitfinex, buying DRK and withdrawing to my personal wallet. I am extremely happy as this has been an experiment in total privacy and anonymity. My acct. on Bitfinex was opened using Tor on Tails, and a Hushmail acct. obtained the same way. Since no fiat was involved there was no reporting or ID required. Given the new Fincen requirements, I doubt this situation will last much longer, but it is nice while it lasts.
Peace to you all,
Strix
