It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.
Advertised sites are not endorsed by the Bitcoin Forum. They may be unsafe, untrustworthy, or illegal in your jurisdiction.

I really like the work going into this coin and I blogged about it today. Tomorrow I will be spreading the word as well to my friends and my skype and fb contacts. I like that the DEVS here and Team are serious about making this coin for the long haul. I am all in for long term coinage. Smiley

I agree. I haven't gotten into many, none really, "alt" coins. I do believe enough in this one though to want to help make it good.

BTW, if you're going to share anyways, check out this bounty list: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=477479 as they are looking for people to help spread the word via social outlets..

A healthy starting price I would like to see is a nickle per NOTE.  It may be low but is a good number to work with.

So people got $100 just by posting their wallet address? Starting price will be less than $0.01 imo.

I wish I could read your post before mining. I have joined dnote.poolnetwork.org I have the same problem with the "Edit Account". It said "A token was sent to your e-mail that will allow you to edit your account details" but I havent received any email for it. After log out and log in again, that sentence remain there but I cannot edit my payment address nor i can send email to my address anymore.

I wish this is not a SCAM. If it is, I guess Dnote you have to take some responsibility of that as you place such pool on your op.
PS: I have print-screened all of necessary information.

Edit1: After a while, I could press the button for sending the email in the pool. However, my mailbox still hasnt received any email for confirmation of editing the payment address.

I have been mining in this pool for a day now without any problems. Profile editing works and the payments are made as promised. +1 for this pool.
Please, if you are new here understand most places that require a confirmation email have somewhat buggy email systems and this is so freakin common that I typically don't bother as I can usually find a pool without one.  As well PLEASE understand that the OP posts the pools and will update them if they are PROVEN to be a scam.  Blaming him would be like blaming the phone book for listing a fraudulent company.  If you believe it is a scam please state the problem you are having here and update in a day with what happened as a result.  Don't immediately call scam, give them a chance, they cant be right next to their terminal 24/7.  If there was a scam you would see a flood of warnings and claims as well, and I really only see yours so please be patient.  But of course if you aren't getting paid move to a different pool, fast(you're wasting hashes!).

Thank you for your reminder. Well, I got your point for "Blaming him would be like blaming the phone book for listing a fraudulent company."  Tongue  Perhaps, my expectation for a good dev team may be too high. I thought the things in the op should be tested by themselves at first and then put their recommendation in the op. In the phonebook case, the dev-team you expect is that they list out all possible and relevant stuff in the op and let others to try. Once there are problem, dev-team would update it. This is just a matter of different level of expectation. I guess I am too new in here LOL.

BTW this is not only my own problem. Somebody has addressed this issue before.

I hate being debbie downer here but I started mining with your pool and then went to upddate my account to add a payout address and the confirmation emails to unlock my account settings to make the change don't come. I then tried signing up with a different email address and try again but they still don't come. So I send a message to you through the pool site and no one answers. I then gave up and moved along. Hopefully you can fix this so we can use your pool and actually get paid.

Here is my update: After one day, I still havent received any email in EVERY FOLDER of my mailbox. Few minutes ago, I have clicked "unlock" again but no email comes.

Those having issues with emails, check your spam folder. Found my activation email there.

Got that 2000 from giveaway even my post was #120. Huge thanks!

Thank you for your reminder. I have checked all folder of my mailbox before posting here. I really wish there is a mail in the spam folder but it did not happen.

totally agree, this coin is NOT a scam. Pool working fine.

I am saying one specific pool is scam not the coin. If I think this coin is scam, I would not be so frustrated for losing these coins. I have tried Charity pool after I found the problem in the previous pool. Charity pool works fine and I got my coins.

This guy's bitcointalk account has only 1 post, which is this sentence. And his date Registered is February 20, 2014, 03:22:16 PM. I really doubt his claim and his intention....or even his linkage with that pool's owner.

I AM A DNOTES FAN THE COIN ABOVE ALL OTHERS.

I can verify that the PoolNetwork pool works, as it is the only pool I have consistently used (besides the P2Pool) since launch. I've had problems with other pools and email confirmations, but I just want to make sure that people know that this specific pool is not a scam and everyone should always test email confirmations and update their account information before pointing their miners to any pool to avoid problems down the line.

Mining and payouts are continuing to operate just fine. I'm going to relocate the database this weekend to get the website itself running faster. And see if I can get this other computer up and running to throw a bit more hashes in than the 12KH my desktop is currently mining at  Smiley

when comes the exchanges??  Roll Eyes
One thing is certain, an exchange will come. So you can continue to ask or you can get involved.  Just an idea but does anyone think the value of the coin is better when we beg and bribe to get an exchange or when we are noticed by the community as a whole and organically  get added to an exchange.
So, I don't know, and I'm fairly sure the dev is not very concerned with it at the moment, he's "saving" the notes so he can dump them on the community.  In a good way, you know through CONTESTS AND BOUNTIES!!! Check the OP for a list.

Need someone to Mod your board so you can focus on your coin?  Want someone to be there answering newcomer  questions for the launch of your coin?  PM me for more info.  I can help!

That could very well be. Like I said I'm no expert.  But really,  why not $100.  The dev is trying to garner big attention.  If every community member, no matter the size of mining op or  portfolio, is able to receive a relatively decent share of the coin.  It could bring true publicity as one of the few to be added to the list of justly, for the good of the coin and all investors, pre-mined coins.  You could also say that the dev is giving away so many because he believes in a small price.  But with the dev's activity and enthusiasm I find that hard to believe.  So everything aside whether it's $0.05 or $0.005, there is a bright future for this coin. I wouldn't mind a start of a penny or less as well, it'll let me get some more with what little BTC I have left after I by some stroke of genius or luck pulled most of my holdings before this fiasco.  Which may I remind you is still happening!

With the faucet, do you not think it would be better to change it to a daily amount rather than a note per second?

I was thinking this as well.

Some change needs to be made to the faucet. As it stands, it is awful. I have to watch a video captcha that takes 10+ seconds to load run, and get the code.

And I have to do that FIFTY times just to get any payout.

The point of a faucet is to spread some coins. Make it a per instance payout of 2-5 notes, and put the same daily limit of 50 on there. People will get something for every submittal, and also have the same max limit.

Coins spread with less wasted time is far better because it is a better user experience. I entered my wallet and gave up after five attempts. I think for new users, this is a turn off, and defeats the point of the faucet.

OK! I've had enough with your whining! JOKING!!!!! Grin Grin I have tried the pool my self and am reporting both of you are right!  The pool does have a working confirmation system to an extent.  I first created an account with my comcast address and it did NOT work!  I then created an account with my gmail and it DID work!  So I am happy to report that the pool IS working, just be sure to check that your email service can receive them before mining.  I will PM the dev and the pool op to let them know so you can change the email or just get the operator to manually withdraw as well as any support avenue on the pool site.  Sorry you're having a bad time. I have some coinage for you if you'd like, and I am very confident you will get your coins from the pool.

We are working on a few more faucets, with different payout strategies, to better fit the needs of the community.
