In answer to the same question we have received several places over the past few months - YES, we will be upgrading the Guncoin User Guide to bring it current, as well as the initial post in this thread once we release the new version in several weeks.  Additionally, we are updating all the GUN artwork and you will start to see it propagating across the website, etc.  We just uploaded it to the Facebook page a few hours ago.

Can you add to "dumpwallet"-method in windows-qt console
to do dump all private keys and addresses from wallet.dat to the txt file?
Do you have any program to do it?
I don't see all generated addresses in "receiving addresses",
but mining rewards is go to every time new generated addresses.
So after relaunch the program I don't see rewards, balances and unconfirmed transactions
and I see only the transactions to main address.
I did dump my wallet.dat and wait the answer.

P.S.: I did run qt with option -reindex and see transactions here, but it's unconfirmed and I cann't see this after restart...

The mined balance should become part of the wallet balance once the required number of confirmations have occurred. If the block reward disappeared, then it may be that the blocks that you mined were orphaned (that happens). The address generated when the block is made does not show up on the receive tab. Without the hash for the blocks that you mined it is hard to check what happened. (Do NOT send us your hash code)

If you run the listtransactions command in the debug console in the Qt client, it should show you previous transactions including mined. With details from listtransactions, it should be possible to see if the blocks that you created became orphaned.
I did do -reindex and saw my transactions then. It has status "conflicted" and after restart qt I cann't see this transactions.
I did export all transactions to *.csv file and open it as text. Then I see addresses and can do "dumpprivkey GUN_address".
But I don't see any transactions and my blocks in block explorer.
This is because I did run qt with parameter -reindex, in this case my qt again download blockchain from another nodes.
But only my wallet was been a node with my blocks. Cheesy
I did have only this nodes in my config.conf:
addnode=seed.guncoin.info
addnode=seed2.guncoin.info
addnode=seed3.guncoin.info
and as I see all this nodes is on one domain. It was been disconnected ALL if guncoin.info server disconnected
and my wallet did mining my own blockchain. I saw 30000 GUN in my wallet with confirmed status. Cheesy
But all this blocks was been declined.
Now I added all nodes from this list: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/gun/#!network and now solo mining is good.

Also, I don't see paperwallet and if you want to do brain wallet, you can add your prefix bytes to this brainwalletX:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2359426.msg24488519#msg24488519 (open source, local, zip)
Private key version, public key version, compressed or uncompressed keys and addresses.
(index.html <ul class="dropdown-menu dropdown-menu-two-column">)
Then you can host it on your site if you want. See source code.

Also, can I specify my address to get rewards?
I see this is possible here, in this proxy: https://github.com/sammy007/zcash-proxy
parameter "coinbase": but this is for zcash and btg.
So do you have any proxy like this or another resolution?

OK, well I am glad that you got with the correct nodes and on the right blockchain.  Our upgrades that we have in progress will embed two seed nodes into code to avoid this confusion in the future for any one new.

Do you have a bootstrap?

Sorry, to say that I do not.  That is one of the items on our "To Do" List and a good idea for a coin that is over 3 years old I guess.  Maybe someone else on the thread has one or can generate one for general use.

I do not know exactly.  I sent a request to one of our developer experts to ask him if that is possible already.

I believe that having a bootstrap is an EXCELLENT idea.

Is there some way that the GUN community can get involved (such as maybe a BTC donation address) to help cover expenses to make that happen?

Yeah...I know I mentioned BTC, but our GUN isn't quite viable enough yet to directly pay developers, and selling GUN to cover costs at this time seems counterproductive.

Someday........

I think actual bootstrap files are deprecated, but there's nothing to stop someone from just sharing the datadir Zipped without the wallet.dat and log files obviously, that will always work.   If someone wanted to experiment with that and create something, we could add it to the website as a download. Need to make sure we know what date it ended at.

IMHO, this would be something the community could do to support the coin.  Right now, I am focused on the upgrade in work.  FYI, you will notice some of the artwork and coin design have already changed on the website.  More cosmetic changes should be done by this weekend.  The final updates to GUN code are being tested now.  Once we confirm their functionality with no bugs, I will provide release notes for your review.  No firm release date yet, but I would expect that everyone should be running GUN V1.2 by the end of the year.

We do have GUN V1.2 in beta test right now, running on a Windows machine and it looks pretty good.  We expect to release V1.2 for WIN, LINUX and MAC all within a few days from now or sooner.

FYI, V1.2 will be a soft fork, NOT a hard fork.  In other words, V1.2 will be backwards compatible with V1.1 and your GUN wallet or mining will not die if you do not upgrade immediately.  As such, every one can switch over when it is convenient after we make the general announcement - the sooner the better.  This will be the first of several releases before the end of the year.  Once all the updates are rolled in and everyone is on board, then we will move forward with a mobile wallet.

One item to note, where as with the old wallet, it took about 8 hours to download the whole blockchain to a new wallet, this one does it in under an hour.  The embedded seed nodes help with that.  We are in also in the process of updating content for this thread and the website as well to support the new release.  At that time, we will provide a set of release notes to describe what all was included in V1.2.

As always, we appreciate your support and your patience as we transitioned to the new and improved GUN V1.2 shortly.

I think with the new update coming out in a few days, the bootstrap is no longer necessary.  V1.2 was tested on 3 PCs that have never seen a crypto wallet before on Windows and it loaded the entire blockchain in about and hour and ten minutes or less on all of them.

It makes sense then, to not really worry about bootstrapping.

Happening that quickly does not seem like an issue at all, and a lot simpler than downloading, unzipping, replacing files in the directory, etc...

That would be correct.  Bumped way down the priority list for sure.

She would have been a fun VP.  I wonder if they would have allowed her to open carry in the White House?  Bloomberg would have been thrilled!

I see that we have some updated info on the OP.

The block reward schedule I believe is a good one.

We'll have a bunch of coins total, but not too much where one might say "Oh my, there are too many coins", but yet plenty enough so when this gets more use we won't need to worry about decimal places for quite some time.

Also.....nice to see that GUN is still in a relatively early block reward phase, so any newcomers shouldn't feel left out in regard to mining, since nobody likes missing the boat.

Yes, brought everything current to where we are today - the block rewards has long been something to add, but constantly overlooked.  Doing a bit of website maintenance this week as well.

Glad to see where GUN is looking to go. I've actually been waiting for this for a long time!

Really looking forward to the future of this project.
