This new version doesn't do well for my R606.  I've tested on my Win7 Desktop and my RPi 3.

I've never achieved 750Ghs at Power Level 4 nor approached 1Ths.
Edit: Ubuntu on my laptop does seem to do much better.

Update: I setup the current CGMiner on the Ubuntu side of my laptop and it does seem to do much better.  After I finish testing on the Ubuntu side I will repeat the tests on it's Win7 side.  This is different hardware than my other Win7 installation on my Desktop PC.

With the new build downloaded on 5/28 the speed has dropped to 580MHz (with a total hash rate of about 1.9TH for the three R606).  I'm going back to the earlier version since it works so much better on the Pi Zero.  Probably if I ran on a full power PC with Windows or Linux the newer build would work better.

My data point is 700, 705, and 710 MHz on three R606s using Raspi Zero at voltage level 7 giving total 2.6TH on average after about 5 days running on build a62385f. 
Still pleasantly shocked that Pi Zero can handle this!
I'm going to download the latest build tonight and start a new run to see the difference.

anyone know where I can get my hands on a 2.1/5.5mm barrel jack to PCIE 6 pin male cable that isn't some cheap junk shipping from China? I'm looking to power the Odroid SBC running my miner off my breakout board instead of the 2A power adapter that plugs in the wall. I'm trying not to have to make my own.

When i look @ jack of Odroid, i think you have to make cable yourselve. Never seen 6 pole PCIe to jack.

For the power you are going to be drawing the cheap chinese ones will be perfectly fine.

Hi GekkoScience team, Victor, great work on all of this, very exciting stuff.

I have two security concerns:

1.  Why is the Windows binary hosted on an HTTP endpoint with no domain name?  This is massively insecure.  Why not just upload to an S3 bucket or equivalent?
2.  The master branch here (https://github.com/vthoang/cgminer) is 98 commits behind ckolivas:master.  Can you please merge the latest code?

Someday... maybe.   The recommended mitigation steps (best / better / other):
    Switch to linux, review and build from git.
    Build the win executable yourself.   VirtualBox + Ubuntu + Post #2.
    Check the sha1 hash using certutil of what you are running versus what was posted here on this forum thread.
    
Re: update the master branch.
    Soon.  The current plan is to do so as batch 2 starts shipping.   In the meantime switch to the R606 branch to keep updated.

Hello, little help here if able please.

Just started running 7 NewPacs and an R-606 on a Win10 machine, all well except for 3 NewPacs.

All 7 run on a hub with 2.1A, have tried swapping slots among them, ran the 4 "good ones" all night and at 50, 100 and 200Mhz, with and without the R-606 connectec also, they ran without a hitch.

The 3 faulty ones, I tried hot swapping, ran them alone, then a pair, then all 3. 50, 100 and 200Mhz. Version cgminer-4.11.1-windows-gekko-9e51f0b and previous one.

Did you buy them new or used? Are there any signs of browning on the pcb? Where is the voltage pot set? Do the four good ones run ok on the same hub as the bad three?

The hub could be the issue. Test the sticks off the hub or one at a time on the hub to make sure they're running. Obviously the hub works but is likely a bottleneck. The GS hub is 6A per port and is designed for these.

The 4 good ones run perfect in the same hub/slot with and without the faulty ones. The 2.1A is per port but have tried swapping amongst them and on other USB ports off the Hub.

Just ran each one alone, Hub off and R-606 off, the only other things on USB ports are Keyboard and mouse.

Don't see any voltage pot on this ones and the boards look good, no browning. 2 of them light up the green led when plugged in (ID10081129 & 57), one lights up both green and white and blinks white for a bit while resetting (ID10081190), all three end like this:

Review this post regarding the potentiometer: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053833.msg48600421#msg48600421.

Adjust it a degree or two clockwise past stock setting to see if it wakes up. Continue working with one at a time. Try a different port, different hub, no hub, different system, etc.

I recognize those serial numbers. They're bench-testing numbers instead of actual release numbers because these were from the first batch tested after we changed up the testing setup for R606 pods and the person in charge forgot to write production serial numbers to them and nobody realized it until the next day when they'd already shipped. There's supposed to be a second round of verification testing after getting the final serial number and that was skipped on these.

So if they keep not working, and if you want (hopefully you're in the US), and if the seller is okay with it, you can send them back to me (the factory) and I will ship you replacements.

I have done freq 767  with extra fan and volt setting of 7 for more then 2 weeks zero issues.

I suspect linux will do best then a good pc with win 10

If you are using the 8amp brick you are exceeding the rating of the jack by 1.5 amps.

So I would hope you have a six pin pcie from a good pc.

The Average is 1.012 Ths.  I'm using a PC Power supply w/the 6 pin.  It's still holding at 800Mhz.  It seems stable so I guess I'll let it run overnight.

I'd cut it back to 750MHz. Should get the same hashrate but about 6% less heat. Sounds like your utilization is only about 93%.

I've seen 825 once and 850 once on some performance tests, but never sustained. The main regulator cuts out at 20A and that's heat-derated, so if it's getting warm it'll cut out earlier. The red LEDs will blink when the onboard temp sensor (on the hot end, about an inch from the chips) reads 75C. As long as it's not blinking at you and the main regulator isn't cutting out, it's probably fine. If you want to sustain that long-term, consider upgrading the fan.
