mumbly,

Any chance of pushing for Coinkite addition? Details here:
https://coinkite.com/faq/alts

Hey man,

Coinkite is absolutely on our list and has already been discussed.

I think we're doing a pretty good job on most of their list checklist, although I'm curious about the first condition:

"Must have a fiat to XXX exchange—at least one somewhere in the world."

Am I missing something obvious? There are a few coins in their list I'm surprised have this - am I missing how other coins are addressing this point?

Also, the 25BTC budget is fine, but I think this is a "measure twice, cut once" sort of thing where when we do it, we make sure we have a plan to succeed well in advance.

On this front (and for other exchanges) - I'm going to try to start a bit of a subcommittee to keep discussing this and making a plan.

At this point, if anyone wants to be part of this conversation PM me to let me know and we can start talking as a group via PM, if we have enough interest we can think about moving the conversation to a separate forum thread.

Last point: I'm paying attention to different metrics to try to get an idea of how we're going. On http://coinmarketcap.com/ for both the last two days we've peeked our head from the 90's in to the 80's on their list - this of course means nothing yet, just a nice positive sign I thought I'd share.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Cheers,
M

Use hvc.42tx.com, append ?output=json to URLs.

Right you are - I probably ended up looking at the max or mnr one or something.  Which at least tells me it's probably just a display issue again.  Try poking at reorder?

Hello folks,

Some updates for today, just to give you an idea of how things are progressing.

New look URL for Heavycoin - I expect this to be announced in the next 24 hours. Just a little something to make finding the homepage easier.

New promotions! We're finalising details now, but we want to run some promotions across different platforms to give the community some (hopefully) fun events to participate in and if you're lucky, a way to win some HVC.

We're hoping to kick some of these off later this week, in the mean time:

- Follow @HeavycoinNews on Twitter

- Like https://www.facebook.com/HeavyCoin on Facebook

- Pay attention to this thread

To give fair warning, the Facebook promotion will only start development tomorrow, so expect that one to take some time, the other two should hopefully start quite quickly.

We'll probably run each promotion once or twice, stop and ask for your feedback, then enter new rounds as we polish the edges and make sure everything is fair.

For other projects:

- If you want to be a part of the conversation about adoption with exchanges, even if you just want to listen in for the time being, PM me so I can start the PM conversation.

- Any miners or pool operators who are open to give me a statement about how mining HVC has been more efficient etc, or open to being interviewed by media, please let me know. No solid opportunities for interviews yet, some initial interest, enough that I want to feel you guys out - anyone interested, PM me.

Cheers,
M

thank you i read that and i still dont understand
it comes to this...

every miner has a vote for how many coins they want in the next reward
all the votes (from every miner) are averaged out every 3600 blocks (5days),
so if there are 2 miners, 1 miner chooses vote 1 and the other chooses 1024, then the reward would be 512 for 5days

choose wisely. if you choose high (1024) the reward could be higher then now but price would drop because more coins would be available
on other hand if you choose low (1) the reward could be lower and probably price would rice because less coins would be available...
