When I use:

Never create ping with XXX Qty > YYYY.YYYYYY (where YYYY.YYYYYY is 5% of pool)

to chop up my orders, sometime I end up with multiple orders at the same price, diluting the goal of having several smaller orders.  How do I force new orders to be created below the current one instead of piling up into one large effective order?

you can try to set the PING LIMIT (with ADEQUATE = TRUE) Never Create OrderType PING Over your last Order Type Price - X%

Ok I'll try that.  I just hope it doesn't stop creating bids at the top of the order book when it the price moves up.

Regarding: Stop Ping creation if the number of Open Orders > XXX

I've been using this so that I don't have too many active pings at one time so I might set this to 5.  However, Open Orders seems to include active pong orders in the count.  It would be helpful to only limit the number of open Pings at one time.

C.A.T. Official 5.1
- Added https://stocks.exchange/ API
- Added a Skin Manager in CAT Main Toolbar : now you can change C.A.T skin selecting one from the various available for your OS (this could also be useful if some specific GUI have rendering bug)
- A new Panel Filter (CRUD Style) has replaced the old Filter Panel. This will allows new kind of filter in the future and a current performance improvement.
- Add Filter "Skip buy/Sell orders with price < Everage Price (best buy+sell/2) +/- X%"

- Exchange Option Panel Refactor
  - Added an Exchange Option "SKIP Lookup if API Queue has more than X elements"
- Now Trades have the InternalCATOrder Attribute (useful to future improvements and to follow orders/trades using an unique value)
- Complete Refactor Of Load/Save procedure. Now You Can :
  - Save/Load Order/Trades/Parameters/BuySellPool/OrdersToRestore
  - A New Loading Panel is added, you will get loading statistics in real time before choose what to restore and launch restore dialog window
  - A Lot of optimization/simplification
- Added LTC Markets for BITSTAMP

5.1 removed the tick mark and so did not inserted my success into my database.

It seems to happen to ALL exchanges.

maybe your xml file is too old and CAT should gives warning about that.
I suggest to set again http post options and save a new xml file.

How can I have CAT delete all current orders from a market and create new one when price falls of for ex 5% ?
I know you answered a little bit last time but I am still unable to do it.

When running 'convert to BTC mode after running algo for X mins', how does this work? does it try to recalculate orders to current market price? like if your running a ping pong say BTC / LTC and you have a pong order up (Selling LTC for BTC) will the pong be recalculated?

No, return to is only a "Complete what you're doing but don't change rules". So it's not like a stop loss (sell all buy all) but just a "stop ping creation and complete current tasks"
That means that recalculation will occurs according to your parameters, as usual.

...so I'm familiar with how your bot works......simple question: can you provide me with proper sample settings (exchange and params) with a purchase....so I can actually get some instant gratification?

My days of playing with bots for 5 or 6 months to find proper settings and "it depends" replies are long gone and I'm just looking to get to the point here. I don't like wasting time these days when the work has already been done.

Hi,
CAT comes with a DEFAULT settings.
Default settings are created to let you trade in any condition, BUT it's obvious that if you don't properly configure an algorithm for a specifica market in a specific moment you need a little bit of luck to have big gains.

Default algorithm could works well when you're on a stable market when many times/day there are MAX/MIN Values.
