@Capitan0Trueno
A very good read! Thank you so much for sharing your initial experience with CAT. And no, you are not the latest newbie around here. I am currently considering to buy a C.A.T. and I am really glad to have an example 10 days ahead :-)

Do you want an advice? Buy it. The value proposition from Sampey is amazing. From the money you pay you get: - A lifetime licence for current and all future versions of CAT. CAT is an active project in permanent evolution. Every month, or less, a new version is released with new features and improvements. - You can trade from an unlimited number of computers, open an unlimited number or instances in each computer and trade an unlimited number of markets in each instance. Only limitation is your hardware and the total number of API calls per minute your exchanges will allow to you. - The possibility to choose from a total of 20 different APIs (more to come), many of which are for free and buying several usually comes with a discount. - First class support from the developer. - And most important, if you want to sell your license in a future, you are allowed to sell it to another user. In case you are wondering, I get no comission from Sanpey, it is just my independent opinion. Just to be honest, few questions: 1. What is a percentage of profit with CAT that you are used from the time you buy it? It seems to me that is negative because of loss during dump of coins. In my opinion - the value of the bot it's a not how great it could harvest coins during pump and bull's time, but in the ability to save it during dump. It's a major problem of all trading software and I don't see big difference with competitors here. So, literally saying it's a pretty branded car which is looks good, but very hard to drive, because it have great engine and no breaks;) 2. What products for trading you are compared to? Because how good or bad product it's a just relative to some other products. Saying that something great or not great without comparing it's a nothing. Support from Sampey is great, okay, but other products with well-defined documentation even don't require such support . So, from the service point of view support it's great, but from product point of view it's a just covering of bad documentation:). You asked support for same questions: logs, setting, preferences, losing money during trading, questions about algo, etc. I asked about exactly same questions, every other user asked about exactly same questions. So, this question need to be covered in documentation, one time for all users. Not more. But it's a Sampeys decision to change 'good documentation' to something called 'good support' that cover 'bad documentation'. Your view about this that it's a pretty good feature, but my view that it's a shiny wrap of a bad thing. Will you be happy if your car breaks down everytime, but you still have a good 24/7 phone call support who could help you with on-field repair? I prefer car that just don't breaks down so often. 3. When you talk about all these pros of software, do you really think that CAT is really possible to maintain with the unlimited number of computers? Because I think it's a not truth, because as you said before - CAT requires a lot of attention for each market. So, to be honest, it's a only 'marketing view' that in theory you could setup any number of markets. It real world you will be limited to the number of your hands that could control CAT 24/7. So just don't need to tell unlimited, because it's practically not possible and don't have sense with current CAT. I prefer not to declare what CAT is not really because from the Sampeys documentation or from your review for new users it looks like a 'money machine'. In fact it absolutely does not. It requires a lot of time to learn, setup, maintain to have continuous profit and cover loss. And this note for some reason is hidden from the top view by showing nice wrapper about tons of features and great support. My strict opinion - Not fair to the customer.

Sampey, when I trade BTC/USD and I want to sell BTC high (PING) and rebuy it back low (PONG), then my win is in BTC, e.g. I sell 1BTC for 1000 and when it falls I rebuy 2BTC at 500, therefore my gain would be 1BTC.
However, the "cumulative gain" shows the result in USD instead of BTC.

If you talk exactly about BTC/USD or USD/BTC markets, in almost all cases this means that actual market is USD/BTC on crypto exchange. Which means you are trading with assets called BTC by using currency USD. This information CAT grabs from the exchange directly on API level. In the crypto exchanges, some misspelling, and some incorrect information present. But mostly all of them mean that you trade and get profit in USD. For example, bitstamp on all titles show BTC/USD, but in fact on tradeview, on API level, etc it's act like a USD/BTC. I think in this case we could only ask Sampey to make a preference option, where the market pair could be swapped and calculated depending on user request. For example, if user want USD/BTC - everything is calculating with USD gain, with 'swap' enabled option CAT would start with BTC gain calculation. Technically it's a depend on CAT's implementation: it would be hard or easy do this. But my expectation that CAT is not ready for this feature and Sampey will deny such request.

Any market on any exchange is expressed as 2 Currency : The Market Currency : is the currency you define by the value QTY The Partner Currency : is the currency you use to define the price (and the total value QTY x PRICE). Gains are expressed as PARTNER Currency. I can express also gain is Market currency, i have no problems about that. BUT at GLOBAL Exchange level, i have no way to express a global gain as Market Currency but only at Partner Currency. I mean : if you trade on BTC/LTC and BTC/XRP As single market level i can express your gain as BTC or LTC But at global market level i must group the gain to the common currency, that is the partner currency. In this case BTC.

Just to be honest, few questions: 1. What is a percentage of profit with CAT that you are used from the time you buy it? It seems to me that is negative because of loss during dump of coins.
Your question about percentage of profit has 2 sides. Crypto market cap has fallen from 100 bn to 60 bn during the last 10 days I have been using CAT. So it would not be fair to assess CAT's performance based on portfolio value. I have lost money as everyone else has in this forum. However the Global Gain sheet from CAT has been reporting a consistent 1 - 1.5 % every day since I installed it. And yes, as I explained in my review, additonal to that I have rebalanced certain orders with a loss. I have triyed to make an honest and independent review, highlighting both strengths and weaknesses. You may have your own opinion, which I respect. I also have mine. If I had to make the decision to buy CAT today, I would buy it again. First of all not all have lost money now. Its a wrong assumption, as well many other wrong assumption in this thread. But its a different topic. About cat. In this case also 1-1.5% profit by cat is not fair too, because it absolutelly not cover what going on the next. But stop, why do you even tell fair or no? With manual trading i out of btc, and using short trading to have profin even on bear market. Cat can do from design? Yes, for sure. Is it actually do it? Yep, With big complexity. So, if you review this as a piece of software that do something- its great. But primary goal to follow trading algo of user, not the powerfull part of cat.

Newbie to C.A.T. here. Not at all crypto trading though. Just looking to get some help on using C.A.T.
I'll be trading LTC/BTC pair on Poloniex with C.A.T. Let's assume I have 2 BTC and 100 LTC (~$4000 in each coin, ~$8000 total) in Poloniex. My goal is to keep C.A.T. running 24/7. I'm looking to gain about $250/wk and plan on risking half my assets (6.25% gain/wk) using C.A.T.
Using the C.A.T. default setup, do I just create a Ping using the Ping Order Creator for a buy and a sell and forget about it? I understand to hit the Suggest Prices button and then add a Buy and Sell Ping. What quantity should I be using if I want to risk 1 BTC and 50 LTC?
Furthermore, are there any more experienced users that could recommend some better settings? Is .6 what everyone uses for Min % Guaranteed Gain?
Looking for some helping C.A.T. advice please.

If you are trading just one pair, I would place more than one order per direction. Say 4 buy pings and 4 sell pings. Look at the market and try to guess what could be a reasonable price range (max and min) for the next hours-days (good luck with this).
So over the next few days I believe the high for LTC/BTC pair on Poloniex will be .021 and the low to be .0198 what would be a good 4-4 proposal? Buy: .0198, .01995, .0201, .02025 Sell: .02055, .0207, .02085, .021 As a minimum you should create a stop loss wherever you feel comfortable with, and rise Min % Garanteed Gain a bit. What is a bit? Well, it depends how wide is the range you guessed and how expensive are commissions and fees in your exchange/market. LTC is not one of the currencies with widest daily ranges. I would try with 1% and see how it goes.
So if the current price is .0204, set a stop loss at .0204 - (.0204 * .01) = .020196? This would contradict my prediction above.

I was planning on purchasing this trader. I am planning on trading on cryptopia and Bittrex. I am just wondering if there are any video tutorials or a slack group, since it seems like there is a lot of options, and while I might not use all of them, I am worried I will run into a lot of problems especially that I am still learning.

Thanks harlan86. I feel defeated. @Sampey can you help with this? actually i'm not sure there's a solution on bot side. First problem is reproduce the error : only few user (you're the third) got this problem in the last six month. But the other 2 probably opens a ticket to poloniex and solve their problem. When this error happens an html page is returned instead of an api response. I don't know if it's possible to get the captcha image, parse it, put result inside a form and then continue. In any case it would be a lot of work with an high probability of fail. Actually i suggest to open a ticket like the other 2 users have done.

A captcha to a API request sounds extremely stupid, doesn't it? Must be an error at Poloniex. I suggest to file a support ticket, although, they hardly answer to any technical issue (at least not to me: My technical ticket is in the open status since a month).
