Hey Sampey,

Just curious how the fix for Cryptopia is coming along. I've lost use of 2 exchanges in recent weeks. Cryptopia due to the bug in advance order placement and Bitfinex due to them restricting their users  Angry

I also still got problems with cryptopia. Still no login possible. CAT cannot communicate with exchange. Still this problem

If error is about failed communication you will probably have a log inside log folder. Please send me that log.
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

The issues I dealt with are related to using the Advanced Order Placement. I used that to place a spread of sell orders, disabled both ping buy and pong buy so that it wouldn't rebuy anything, yet it continued to place buy orders.

Yep, I know your answer was to them, I was just making it clear that my issue was different than theirs  Wink

to disable ping and pong buys:
Market Actions > Ping/Pong Algo > Stop Ping Buy Creation & Stop Pong Buy Creation

After a sell would fill it would re-enable the buy process in order to keep ping/pong active, when I was just wanting CAT to sell only for me.

Your file is very big (near 1 millions lines) but from line 7979-7980

I found :
2017-10-02 16:05:38| PPA : Pong Buy  Creation Active : true
2017-10-02 16:05:38| PPA : Pool Sell Creation Active : true

And process status has never changes since this line.

So the problem is BEFORE that line? Log is not complete and start from an already run algorithm.
Can't you try to reproduce the problem in a new log and send me a little log?

I don't think there's a problem, but i would like to be able to explain you about the log. With 1 millions lines log it's not easy (my pc is likely to frooze during search procedure with a 80MB log file)

Yep, I imagine the log was large. I'll try to reproduce. Need an altcoin to sell only now :p

ok thanks.
don't forget that STOP PING/PONG etc options works on the PING-PONG AUTOMATED PROCESS
it doesnt effect orders created directly from the GUI by you.
In other words you can STOP PING CREATION and ADD 1 PING ORDER from the GUI

So what's the proper way to place a spread of orders on one book but prevent the bot from placing reciprocating orders after existing ones are filled?

i.e. I want to create a spread of sell orders without ever rebuying (sell only), or I want to pad the bid book with a spread of buy orders but don't want the bot to sell any after buys are filled (accumulate only)

You should DISABLE the CREATE PONG PROCESSES (buy & sell).
In that case if a tra occurs over one of your ping, then the trade will remain in the Trade Pool and no pong will be created.

The trade still goes through - just shows up in the Cryptopia front end UI page as "invalid date". I'll check the CAT logs and post back

Just an idea, if you dont want to mess with the algorithm, in case you have more orders in that market that you actually want CAT to keep ping-ponging:
Try creating the spread of orders and then remove them from CAT only - not the exchange. CAT will just forget about them and will go on with the rest.
Be sure to have "Add 0.00% (some coin) into Sell Pool Every Pool Lookup" (or into Buy Pool accordingly) so it will not create new orders from the pool.

Oh, that's not a terrible idea. I might try it that way!

Search bar means that i write a coin name and there's a filter over the full table?
Not sure i'll be able to do that, market table is very complex. I will check  Wink
