Yes, it will take some time for SA to get back their previous reputation with native players but they should allow some non-native players to be part of the squad after all these non-native citizens are born and brought up in that country only and they are part of the society. In my opinion equal chance should be given to everyone.

If whites have the right play in the national team of SA with zero black player then why we criticize Oman, UAE for making a team out expats? This is massive concern now that ICC is not interested into spreading of this game and thinking all about IPL money which can bring down more in quality and marketing many other countries can suffer from this they need to bring some stick rules for all countries about this which help them as well for having better domestic system for generating money and having more players for their better and secure future. After West Indies now we are having problems in Sri Lanka and South Africa where cricket is losing charm and good future.

Cricket right now is revolving around IPL and it seems that future will be very much dependent on how IPL goes. Players and boards are not interested on bilateral series rather they are after money rich IPL. WI, SA and SL were once strong team and now they are gone too low in performance. Dont expect anything good from ICC for cricket.

I’m not sure what can ICC do when the modern day reality is everyone earns higher from IPL, and if they try to slow it down then they’ll face revolts from every quarter, hence I don’t see them touching IPL ever.

Also the three teams should blame their boards first, then blame IPL because even if we consider IPL not being there they had issues prior to it, and thanks to IPL their player’s now have the chance to quickly earn good amount of money which would have taken them year’s to earn had IPL not been there.

Cricket has become a business and there is no denying it whatsoever. With the business in mind, ICC will always try to make IPL better rather than the bilateral series as IPL generates way more revenue and viewership compared to any bilateral series.

And you are right. Having internal issues in boards is their personal problem. Yes the ICC might be able to eradicate some of it, but at the end of the day, it was them who started the downfall of them.

Cricket was already a big business but now with the introduction of franchise system it is taking some better and more profitable shape which is helping all parties in good way like players have enough money with managements are also taking very good profit and many other parties are also having very good change with this all as we already have in European Soccer where many countries going with much luxury style and few have small models but still very helpful for them as they can handle all things in better way now we need this spirit into cricket as well which is not happening due to some political reasons but still many countries can do take some good advantage and enjoy their markets with this all which will more grow in future with time and better experience.

When was cricket a big business? Before IPL I do not think BCCI had those revenues. Only a few exceptional players were making good money through advertisement all others were getting paid what BCCI paid. Post IPL everyone player, the franchise and BCCI is making tons of money. It has now become a complete business, which in a way is good and also bad.

Do you need to vomit out your stupidity everywhere in this forum?

I have already explained that the white players in the national team are native South Africans. They are South African citizens and they have history of living in that country for many centuries. The fact that you are comparing native players with foreign expats who are on tourist visa says a lot about your comprehension skills and IQ level. And have you checked the racial composition of the South African national team? They have a majority of non-white players. Stop your racist BS, else I will be reporting your posts for racial abuse.

The trend with football will take quite a lotta time to get into cricket. One big reason could be football is a global sport, but cricket is only played by a few nations, and 2 or 3 boards control how cricket is played.

You are right. IPL is the kick-starter of the money game in cricket. As before it, players were only paid their salary but now, they make more than that by playing 1 month in the IPL. As you said, it has both advantages and disadvantages.,

As long as big 3 control cricket, dont expect new countries to join in since that will destroy the supremacy of big 3. IPL has done more damage to Indian team then good. Yes it has brought money in the game but at the same time Indian cricket standard is going down and out. Because of IPL players mind are struck in T20 format and cant play bilateral series.

ICC has introduced a new interesting rule for T20I which is New T20I slow over-rate penalty: four, not five, fielders to be allowed outside 30-yard circle. This means you cant go with slow over rate in T20, if you fail to finish overs in time then only 4 of your players will be allowed outside 30 yards circle to finish the overs.

I am not sure how did you conclude that IPL has destroyed Indian cricket standards. IPL has given a lot of opportunity to those young players who might have not got selected in the Indian A team because of fierce competition. Thanks to IPL he would still have a chance to get selected and also get decent pay every year. T20 is more watched than any other format of cricket therefore BCCI has been focusing more on this format.

Have to agree with pakhitheboss. IPL may have some negatives associated with it, but overall it has done wonders to young Indian players. Look at second string players like Rahul Tewatia, Chetan Sakariya and Sandeep Sharma. These players don't have any real chance of getting a national team callup anytime soon. But as a result of the IPL, they have received good exposure and more importantly good salaries. And on top of that, the BCCI has received billions of USD in revenues, and most of it was directed towards the grass-roots development.

Its not only bcci who is focusing more on T20 rather all boards are focusing on there leagues or IPL less PCB (they have no reason to get excited for IPL). The future of cricket is T20 that's very much clear now. Test matches are losing there worth, only people check score at the end of day. Nobody sit and watch test for whole day.

Now the IPL league have turned many players to be successful in their professional cricketing. In the past players didn't have any opportunity to show their ability, now this has been fulfilled by the IPL league. Recently one of the leading Soccer club have shown interest in buying one of the IPL franchise which shows how high the money is playing its role in IPL.

In the past, those players who were good with the English language only had the option of joining the commentary team. They still do till today but how many of them who played in IPL from the day it started are doing that job now? There has been a major improvement in the living standard of players after IPL. I agree that because of IPL many players now are not well versed with test cricket or ODI but it does not mean that the standard of cricket in Indian has gone down only becasuse of IPL.

No PSL NOC for South Africa's contracted players

I don't support this move. This is pure blackmail. The CSA want centrally contracted players to appear in useless domestic competitions within South Africa, while forfeiting their opportunity to take part in the lucrative PSL. This sort of behavior is exactly the reason why many of the good South African players were forced to retire from international cricket and move to other countries such as England and New Zealand. After all, cricket is just another profession. You can't force the professional players to play without salary, while taking away their chance to earn some good amounts from the franchise leagues.

I think I agree with you. The board should not implement such rules for their players. If the players are needed for an important series or a tournament, they can surely implement such rules in order to save the players from injury or exhaustion,
but taking their freedom for making them play in not so important domestic cricket is not good in my opinion. It makes the players feel congested which is not good for the future of cricket in my opinion.

The players won't easily leave the national team and show interest playing IPL. The IPL league have turned too big and the attracted audience have made it one among the top league on entire sports. This happened little by little through the big pay and the strong sponsors who are ready to spend big on the league. In one form the decision of CSA is something good for the real cricketing growth.
