Butler is playing too sluggish tonight. Anyway,  we can trust he gets Rajasthan in good shape before getting out. The batting lineup of both the teams was very strong. I thought Rajasthan would provide at least more than 180 runs. Although the target is only 131 runs. However, winning this match is not easy for Gujarat. They scored 63 runs in 11 overs losing two wickets. 68 runs were needed to win 54 balls.

Not taking Riyan Parag's side but his comparison with Virat is bit weird.
Virat opened a inning and sometimes bats at 3, which means he had more balls to face in every match. On the other hand Parag bats at number 6 position and only gets to bat limited amount of balls so it's kinda obvious he's not going to outscore Kohli. Even Dinesh karthik who was in God Mode throughout this season scored less runs than Kohli.

I agree that Parag can't be compared with Kohli. But please tell me why this guy is in the team. What is his contribution to Rajasthan Royals? He can't bat and he can't bowl. And he has dropped more catches than anyone else in the team. What makes him so special that he has appeared in all the 16 matches played by RR so far in this season? On top of that, he has behaved quite arrogantly on the field. Remember his reaction after he took the catch of Stoinis? Matthew Hayden (commentator for that match) came down heavily on Parag then.

I agree that in every season he plays 1 blinder out of nowhere and then ride full season as freeloader. One could only hope that he'll learn.
His behaviour is irritating sometime but what do you expect from 20 yo kid? Or may be we are getting old and cranky at the same time.
I think he's an excellent fielder, specially at outfield. He did dropped couple of sitters but he also took fine catches and leading the most catches in IPL 2022 tally .

Being a good player is never an excuse for behaving like a dumb person. Anyway, he is also not a good player at all  .

If you think this should be the behavior of a 20 year old, I think that 20-year-olds that I have seen in my time were a lot different, because they would be actions taken against a 20-year-old who absolutely cannot play worth anything and behaves like a total Maniac.

I will not say that he is an excellent fielder. He might be good but not excellent. Anyway, after all, I have one thing to say to him, ""Get better"".

Hardik Pandya's captaincy and performance are both very commendable. He has maintained the continuity of his performance throughout the season. At the same time, the management of Gujarat has been able to form a stable team. Their batsmen were good enough. The squad consisted of experienced players like Wriddhiman Saha, Gill, Wade, and Miller. At the same time, there were experienced bowlers like Mohammad Shami, Rashid Khan, Ferguson and Pandya. Having a stable squad has made Gujarat champions.

Wasn't there a star player in the Gujarat team? Hardik Pandya is not a star player? David Miller, Mathew Wade can't be called a star player? Don't you think a talented player like Rashid Khan is a star player? Sorry, I don't agree with you. Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan are very talented allrounder. Gujarat's bowling lineup was good. GT played really well throughout the season in Pandya’s captaincy, it was commendable. They truly deserved this win, since playing inaugural season and winning the magnificent trophy. Three cheers to Hardik.

Hardik Pandya closed mouth of people who are criticizing him for his bad performance. I am sure after this title win Hardik Pandya will be recalled at least in Indian T20I squad.

For the other four captains, I have more or less neutral opinion (Rohit Sharma, Kane Williamson, Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul). If Hardik is able to cement his position in the Indian team, then it may not be a bad idea to make him the captain of the T20 side. Samson is not a regular, so it is going to be hard for him.
