It probably depends on how well Diaz does in this fight. If he puts on a good show then it might bite UFC in the ass as people will want to see more of him, or it will just hype up a Jake Paul fight even more. He could go on and fight Jake and then back to the UFC or bellator or something so he's got options.
I can make a bet with anyone that Diaz is going to give his best, but that is just not enough against top fighters like Chimaev.
There are some rumors about BKFC Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship already have contract ready for Diaz and he is going to earn more money than in UFC.
I think this could completely ruin his face and maybe he receives more offers from other MMA bosses, maybe EagleFC and Khabib gives him a call.
Jason Jackson from Bellator earned almost $200k for win over Douglas Lima in Bellator 283, so there is certainly money to be earned outside UFC.

He will give it his best, no doubt, but I don't think that a good outing from Diaz would result in UFC changing it's stance. If I am not mistaking, it's only down to money and UFC will definatelly not give more money to a fighter that is more or less out if any serious competition. BKFC seems like tailor made for him, due to it being less impact and more volume (no gloves), and that favors his style. But I am kinda worried about his scar tissue and that he would be opened up fairly quickly. Out of other organisations, i think Eagle would have the most ring to him, but can they pay him?

I respect Curtis for not jumping on Aspinal and doing extra punches. I've seen many times, when they guy is hurt (injury), his opponent lands 2-3 extra strikes, cases when ref must have speed of cheetah to save the fighter.

I was quite amazed, that Curtis said that right now he is not planning to join belt race, that right now he is just doing his job, that he is not fully prepared for being a champ. That is strange to hear, as he is 1 or 2 fight away from title fight.

Pretty much I am surely high on respect for the man, in what he did to Tom Aspinall that was a very devastating loss, and Curtis Blaydes surely knows how to control his composure, he surely is a gentle giant in what he has done, likely visiting his opponent for a beer because he feels sorry for what happened, nothing really doesn't like that to happen and because of that Curtis Blaydes got the respect of Tom Aspinall,

Curtis Blaydes must have known that he is not really ready in taking the belt yet, Francis Ngannou is the real deal and I think he is still accessing the situation and the progress of the fight between Cyril Gane VS Tai Tauvasa, and if Francis Ngannou will be out as a Heavyweight champion, but let just wait for what he decides,

I can make a bet with anyone that Diaz is going to give his best, but that is just not enough against top fighters like Chimaev.

Nate Diaz is a badass fighter that is for sure, if he likes to be in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship so be it maybe he will do good in that kind of sport, but pretty much it is really dangerous, and I think if there are big money offers he will surely take it, Nate Diaz is that kind of fighter, just because of the Money he will surely jump on it,

I will be honest, but I cant see Nate Diaz in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship or in other bare knuckle organization. Nate is more of a wrestling guy (black belt in BJJ, 11/20 wins are by sub). I havent noticed super elements of boxing in his fights. Strong chin wont help him to win in a bare knuckle fight. His favourite of keeping hands low and fighting relaxed decreases chance of winning in a bare knuckle fight by 2. Maybe BKFC only wants a big name in their roster, but with Nates unserious approach to fights and training will make him be kicked quickly.

Thats a good point. He usually put his hand down confidently while fighting in the cage.  A bare knuckle hitting the head or even a rib cage will be very fatal. Not a fan of that promotion but seem not very different to UFC. If he survived fighting toe to toe with the pound for pound in UFC he can survive there also.

I already feel like Diaz is going to lose against Khamzat. He isn't as fit as he was anymore.

Who do you guys got for the next event?  I'm not too excited for Nunes vs Pena rematch tbh.  I'm more excited with the co main with Moreno and KKF.  Pantoja vs Perez should be good too.  I think one of both matches could be fight of the night.

Here are some vids to hype yourselves up.  Enjoy...  Smiley

Been extremely busy the last few days, but hopefully I'm back now, and will be able to catch the UFC this weekend. However, the last two main events have been a let down. I thought Curtis looked good, despite there only being 15 seconds for footage. I do believe he gets underestimated a lot. Anyway, I know that's old news now, so I'll get my predictions out either tomorrow or Friday depending on my work load. I haven't taken a proper look at the card, and odds yet.

I'm seeing O'Malley, and Yan has been confirmed now, for me Yan takes that easily, and due to the hype behind O'Malley it might be decent odds too.

But I am kinda worried about his scar tissue and that he would be opened up fairly quickly. Out of other organisations, i think Eagle would have the most ring to him, but can they pay him?
Scar tissue is the problem for both him and his brother, that is result of their reckless style of fighting and they can't escape from heavily bleeding.
I prefer to see fighters that have better defense in avoiding getting punched so much in face, but maybe weed is helping Diaz brothers to cope better with this Smiley
I am sure Khabib and Eagle FC could make him a good contract deal, but maybe he gets better deal fighting with boxers and with WWE wrestling.

Nate Diaz is a badass fighter that is for sure, if he likes to be in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship so be it maybe he will do good in that kind of sport, but pretty much it is really dangerous, and I think if there are big money offers he will surely take it, Nate Diaz is that kind of fighter, just because of the Money he will surely jump on it,
I heard that fighters are often ending up with broken fists and hands in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, so it's not only the face that suffers damage.
That means recovery needs to be much longer and you can't have many fights in one year, that is not something Diaz likes.

He might have the BJJ belt, but I think he likes to brawl more, so in my opinion, he surely will have a spot for the Bare Knuckle Fighting  Championship, surely there is no kicking allowed and I think Nate has seen his option of Clinching and punching his way where here the only allowed weapon is your bare hands, pretty much I think Nate will capitalize with the allowed Clinching on his advantage, and I think he surely thinks of a way or a plan before getting on board,

Nate Diaz will do his best to win, but some of his skills will be somewhat limited against Chimaev. There are only local athletes in EagleFC, I wasn't sure if they would receive such a phone call. But as you said, there is money to be made outside of the UFC, and I'm sure Nate Diaz will make a good choice.I can't even imagine how it will turn out if he wins in his last game but leaves the UFC against Khamzat.

For me, it is still a question of how he can handle Khamzat Chimaev, I mean Nate Diaz has one tough chin but against Chimaev that has power, I am sure that Dana White had picked the right guy in assassinating Nate Diaz, but for me, I am favored of Khamzat Chimaev but if Diaz will win this, it will surely go down into history books the name of Nate Diaz to put a losing record on Chimaev, that is why I am still excited on the fight because Chimaev still can not underestimate Diaz because Nate Diaz is still one tough nut to crack,

I heard that fighters are often ending up with broken fists and hands in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, so it's not only the face that suffers damage.
That means recovery needs to be much longer and you can't have many fights in one year, that is not something Diaz likes.

Well, the BKFC should analyze it and because there is no protection on their hands they are really prone to breaking their fist and hands, and they should have proper care for their fighters by giving them Xrays and check-ups on their fighter knuckles as a protocol,  and fighters should have an iron knuckle in performing in these crazy events, which is I think you can train your knuckles but by obtaining broken bones and eventually healing it will make it stronger, I don't know if this is real but this is depicted in movies and other media

Usually, I would have said that everything can happen in MMA fighting and we should not bury Nate in advance, but not in this case. I think except Nate and his team, no one believes that he can win Chimaev. It is top3 welterweight against a guy who has fought last time year ago and last time won in 2019. I think their fight won last more than one round.

As to upcoming event - UFC 277, I am planning to watch Derrick Lewis vs Sergei Pavlovich fight. Btw, Lewis has similar thoughts as Curtis Blaydes has. If Blaydes does not feel like being a champion, then Lewis is in UFC only because of money. He is not interested in title, he is there only for the cheque Cheesy

Talking about the Ozzy Diaz vs Joe Pyfer fight, i think Diaz is a mediocre fighter. A simple one for the UFC. Pyfer has a very good chance of winning. In Dennis vs Kaleio fight, my favorite is Dennis. I can't wait for this fight. Dennis moves very fast and uses his kicks well. I think this is an advantage in combat. Good luck Dennis, i hope you have the best fight.

Bestfightodds has O'Malley at 4.00 - 4.30 depending on the bookie.  Not sure but I think it's the first time for O'Malley to be lined as the underdog since he got into the UFC.

https://www.bestfightodds.com/#

Anyway here are my lottery tickets for the event.  I kinda regret having Nunes at my top ticket now that I'm looking at it.  Lol.  But I do feel like she's gonna go out there more motivated.

Nunes - Moreno at 2.06
Add:  Pantoja - Ankalaev - Morales at 4.31
Add:  Mayes - Dober - Semelsberger at 16.32
Add:  Lewis - Garcia - Edwards at 174.89
Add:  Negumereanu - Mathetha at 883.04

I already feel like Diaz is going to lose against Khamzat. He isn't as fit as he was anymore.

For me, I think Nate Diaz, may have a slight chance, but the advantage of Khamzat Chimaev is very clearly seen even for onlookers and fans pretty much many are saying that Chimaev has a fairly good advantage, in Strenght, Speed, Durability, height, and pretty much this is a sure win for Khamzat Chimaev, but if Nate Diaz could win this then the credibility of Chimaev will be ruin and his Record will be broken, but a little percentage for that in my opinion,

In Derrick Lewis's case as long as Francis Ngannou, Cyril Gane, and now Tai Tauvasa are there he doesn't stand a chance of getting the belt and I think he pretty much knows about it and for him to say such things, for me these 3 men would likely have a chance in grabbing the belt in my opinion,

Well, I think that is the purpose of this Contender fight with Dana White, and to find likely fighters to enter UFC, we can see the amateurs and the likely experience fighters that have potential, I think Joe Pyfer is really well-rounded, but still lack his strength in getting those locks on Diaz, while Ozzy Diaz pretty much has the huge lack and it was shown on the fight, but he can still fight,

Bad Dana. The UFC already earned millions of dollars from Nate Diaz. Nate is already 37 and is inactive for a year. This match is everything wrong for Nate. I won't be also surprised if this ends in round 1 too.

Every time I hear the name, Derrick Lewis. The first thing that comes into my mind is his free Popeyes' chicken for life. I already had a bet for Pavlovich. Pavlovich though is a brawler and is open for Lewis bombs so I'm hoping for him to fight smart.

I don't know why so many people are expecting Amanda Nunes to win easy in upcoming fight with Julianna Peña.
Everyone underestimated Peña in the first fight but she performed amazing as an underdog and I think she can repeat that again.
Amanda is going to win one or two rounds but with this odds I must support current champ to defend the title.
I am expecting great fight and I hope this thing with injuries will stop.

This card is fantastic on paper, we have Brandon Moreno, Black Beast, Magomed Ankalaev and others.
My early bets are Julianna Peña and Derrick Lewis to win in combo.

Pena is a bomb. I wouldn't be sure if Nunes can handle after losing the last time. Its seem to be the thing these days for promotions from MMA to boxing, they just rematch fighters without having to boost the confidence like a tune up for Nunes.

Dana White doesn't really appreciate what his fighters have done for him and I will not be surprised if 1 day there will be no fighters fighting for the UFC anymore, because of Dana's way of approach sometimes, and he is biased toward fighters, and it is not really good at all,

Well, Derrick Lewis despite his looks and angry portrayal inside the octagon, I think he is a humble man he doesn't really care if you like him or not, he doesn't care about the tweets, likes, and dislikes he is getting and he even said on an interview that he is more than happy with the popeye's Contract than with the UFC, so that is some words from Lewis,

We can not blame them for still supporting Amanda Nunes, even though Julianna Pena has won and shown a pretty good match for Amanda Nunes, but we can not take away the dominance of Amanda Nunes in that fight they are really thinking that it was just a lucky win for Julianna Pena getting Nunes gas out on round 2 and for me I still consider Nunes to be the bigger favorite, but Julianna Pena really knows what she is doing,

I kind of agree with the current betting odds between Julianna Peña and Amanda Nunes rematch but the former champ needs to fight safely this time. Amanda had no respect for Julianna in that first fight as she was showing her braggadocio being reckless in the exchanges. I say the best of Amanda should be able to beat Julianna. In that Ultimate Fighter staredown, I felt like Amanda lost her coolness and was even following Julianna after they left the octagon. Is Julianna living in her head all this time? If Amanda losses her focus once again this Sunday and will once again recklessly trade bombs with Julianna then it'll be a different fight that the betting odds aren't expecting. Though Julianna probably had thinner skin as she got more cuts in that first fight, she obviously got a tougher chin than Amanda.

Lol.  That's actually a misconception among people who don't know any better cos here's the thing, Dana can't force any fighter to agree with a match up if they don't like it.  He can't even force a fighter to fight if the fighter doesn't want to.  Diaz agreed to the match up and signed the contract.  The decision is in Diaz's hands.  But what's sketchy about this whole thing is the proposal and how it came to be.  But if Diaz wanted this match up then it's all on him.

Yep I  must have misunderstood it. This time even if Diaz is matched to someone lesser he can say no. Its however going to be shameful still now that Dana have an ax to  grind. Saying no will be a disaster for him. And Diaz has to make money, he has to accept or no opportunity once again. He can say no yet he can't be fighting Jake Paul due to the contract. If he wins against Khamzat, he will be matched to someone up a higher level next time like Usman til he finds himself in the bloodiest fight of his career.

I'd be rooting for Pena,  Moreno and Derick.
