Looks like Blachovicz vs Ankalaev is going to be a copy of Blachovicz vs Texeira fight, but much quicker. Like people say, Dagestan wrestling is going to dominate again.

I think fighters should make camps in Dagestan, instead of Thailand Cheesy I am serious. Fighters can greatly improve their stamina with that mountain air, train with best wrestlers, then go back to US or Thailand and train few weeks of striking and that is it Cheesy

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

I agree It could be a copy of the Blachovicz VS Texeira fight but at a much scrambler, and yes quicker pace, it surely not a great fight to watch because it could be finished in an instant, so I really feel sorry for Jan Blachovicz and many are expecting Ankalaev winning this,

They could surely set camps in Dagestan and they could also wrestle some bears to be strong as Khabib Nurmagomedov, maybe the air is thick there just to help make the chest of the fighter coop up on breathing, pretty much Glover Texeira would need to go to the mountains and trained there just to have the feeling of getting a hard time breathing just to trained never be gasted out quickly,

I have heard the news Alex Pereira is accusing Khamzat Chimaev of being scared of him, and turning down his offer to fight him, pretty much not the Khamzat Chimaev that I knew, where do his remarks of SMESH everybody go or Alex Pereira is doing mind games again, but for me, I will still wait for Khamzat Chimaev if he would respond to this,

And for Charles Oliveira's rematch against Islam Makhachev, before the fight between UFC 284: MAKHACHEV VS. VOLKANOVSKI there should be a rematch between Makhachev and Oliveira but Charles Oliveira is emotionally stressed to get back inside the Octagon with Islam Makhachev so Oliveira have turned down the offer, but hopefully, Charles Oliveira will regain his old self and reclaim the title,

This was a great UFC event to watch with many KO wins, and main event was showing how to friendly people can easily broke each other body parts.
Kevin Holland broke his hand in first round and he will need surgery, so it's amazing to see how he lasted for four rounds against Thompson.
Both of this guys are really hard to break, but ahead of is maybe even better main event in few days.

The Main Event really deserves it and I was really enjoying what Thompson and Holland were showing us, it was really remarkable and maybe those takedowns and ground game were not effective against Thompson anymore because of the injury Holland sustained, for me Kevin Holland should not retire early he is proven that he can still shows a great fight and because of that here is the bonus for the UFC Fight Night: Thompson vs. Holland

FIGHT OF THE NIGHT
Stephen Thompson vs. Kevin Holland   |   $50,000 bonus to each fighter
PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT
Tai Tuivasa vs. Sergei Pavlovich   |   $50,000 bonus to Pavlovich
PERFORMANCE OF THE NIGHT
Jack Hermansson vs. Roman Dolidze   |   $50,000 bonus to Dolidze

Both Stephen Wonder Boy and Kevin Holland deserve their bonus for showing a remarkable fight and both men don't give up until Holland retires because of his messed up hands, and Sergei Pavlovich has shown a remarkable KO/TKO win against Tuivasa, for me seeing him more of a technical approached to Tuivasa have made me think twice that he is really aggressive but also have the technical approach in it, while I was really amazed at Roman Dolidze, Jack Hermansson also had a ground game, but Dolidze has taken it to the next level with that unique calf slicer and it was a 1st time I am seeing that technique,

What is next for Pavlovich? One more fight and in case of a win a title fight? Dont think that Pavlovich will manage to climb higher than he is now. Any good wrestler (*sigh* again a wrestler) will make an easy win. Pavlovich seems to be one tactics fighter. He is quick on hands, but barely uses legs. He is good at middle distance due to speed and reach. But on distance, dont think he will stay long against high kicks. On close distance - Overeem threw knees, got Pavlovich down and tko. Seems he is bad against submissions, even though he is from combat sambo.

The next event is surprisingly good and there are a lot of fights that I like,

UFC 282: Błachowicz vs. Ankalaev
Like everyone else, I dreamed of a belt challenge, in light heavyweight. It was very unfortunate that Jiri Prochazka was injured. Blachowicz, I'd be wrong to say I'm not excited for the Ankalev match. I am very undecided whether I will witness the rise of Ankalev or the return of Jan Błachowicz. Both are excellent fighters in this weight. Błachowicz is the more experienced side in the UFC, and he's very resilient. Despite having many positive traits, Błachowicz. Ankalaev for being a complete executioner, will win and he will continue to rise in this Light heavy weight.

Well pretty much It is an exciting match, but there is surely a known feeling that Magomed Ankalaev will win this that is why it is boring for some, but for me I want to see if Jan Blachowicz could make a big remarks in stopping Ankalaev here, Magomed Ankalaev will not pursue on takedowns at the 1st of the rounds he will surely brawl with you so Jan Blachowicz could have time in getting familiar with Ankalaev standing, but for sure there are a lot of frustration why the fight was change from Prochazka VS Teixeira to Blachowicz VS Ankalaev, pretty much all of that Surnames hard to say and spell, for me Ankalaev for the win for sure,

Curtis Blaydes would make sense and we see how he fares against one of the best wrestlers in the UFC.  Another match up that I'd like to see for the Pavlovich is him vs Gane.  It's gonna be power vs finesse.  I think he loses to both but he got that powerrr that could change the outcome.  Lol.

Anyway, here are some 282 stuff...  Enjoy.

Interested in every main card fight. I think another belt will go to Dagestan. Also Paddy vs “another non ranked guy”. Cant wait for Paddy to beat that guy and get finally a ranked opponent. Enough if these average Joe’s. Paddy has a huge fighting background before ufc. He needs a real test. Otherwise we will see another rear naked choke in round 1 or 2. Till - lose snd bye-bye ufc, or Khamzat friend stays. Drama, drama  Grin Topuria - dangerous 12-0 lightweight. To bad his opponent is unranked and it wont help Ilya to rank up.

Dustin Poirier posted a picture of his staff infection on Twitter...  His foot looks messed up.  I'm worried he might be done fighting if he can't get it healed up well and quickly.  I'm not a doctor, but it looks like the possibility is there for him to lose his foot...  I hope he heals up because he's had one hell of a career and this latest setback may actually put him in line with Connor McGregor's return.  I don't want to see them fight again, but it's clear that Connor feels like he has some unfinished business.  Dustin having foot problems now is probably a gift to McGregor if they do line up another fight.

Wonderboy is back. I'm sorry for every doubting him. Also, got to respect Holland yet again, not giving up, and wanting to make a fight of it. However, no one (at least any strikers) were beating Stephen that night. He was electric.

Honestly, I don't want to get carried away, but I can't think of many that are better than him at striking, and the man's like 40 years old, right? Simply incredible. The whole event was fun, although I didn't like seeing Tai get hurt like that, although I was half expecting it. Hopefully, that doesn't effect him too much in future fights.

There were speculations that those antibiotics the doctors were giving him were not working. Poirier also said that it was serious implying that there might be something more than a staph infection. However, he posted an updated on Twitter that the antibiotics were starting to work and he will be out of the hospital in 2 days.

He might only be looking for more engagement for his social media accounts hehehehe. Influencers like to do this.

On Tuesday, Poirier had some good news to share with his fan base regarding his health status.

"Antibiotics are working.  Getting outta the hospital tomorrow morning!”

The next fight could be Stipe Miocic or Ciryl Gane before he can fight Francis Ngannou, but because of his rankings he might get an early shot for the title, but I really don't know why he has a weakness with the takedown even if he has a background in Combat Sambo, maybe he is saving it as a last resort like Israel Adesanya, we can see that Adesanya really has wrestled in him, and just like Pavlovich maybe he can use it as an ace when the standing gets dicey, but that Overeem fight Overeem just got the better out of him, and he was surprised on what have happen,

Paddy Pimblett and Ilia Topuria got some drama going on back then and they surely share another event together, this could get Dicey for both fighters, while I also like to see Paddy Pimblett be tested with high-ranking guys as well, if this fight gets through we could really see an amazing fight for him, next time.

Abour Poirier and his staff infection.

It was always hard for me to understand how irresponsible adults are about their health. When their kid gets a tiny red pimple, as an allergic reaction to overload of new food, they sign that kid to a hundred of doctor visits. But when they themselves are about to die they are like “naaah, it will cure itself”.

It want like Poirier put on his socks in the morning, went to gym, put of a socks and observed that mess with his leg. Such staff problems does not happen instantly. He must have skipped showing that crap to a doc for days or a week. In addition, his responsibility could lead to infecting other people in the gym! What a douchebag.

Stephen Thompson is certainly one of the best strikers. It would be an understatement to say that he is not towards the top. And he is almost 40 years old. Next February 2023, he will be 40 years old. As a 40-year-old, this was an impressive performance. And I have to give respect to Kevin Holland because he tried to hang in there till the last. But as you said, no one was able to stop Stephen that night.

Tai Tuivasa got badly beaten. I have seen Tai Tuivasa fight before, and to me, it really felt like his physicality was not convincing enough. At least not at the top level of MMA.

Source https://www.mmanews.com/2022/12/dustin-poirier-hospital-update/

I also got kind of scared when I saw that weight from Dustin Poirier. But yes, he already tweeted almost 10 hours ago that his antibiotics are working.
So, I don’t think there will be any kind of serious injury to him. At least not anything which will prevent him from fighting.
I agree with @bbc.reporter that this was probably done because of gaining some social media followers.

Yesterday T.J.Dillashaw has announced his retirement. He has finished his career with 17-5 record and has been fighting for UFC for 10 years. I would say that this is a right decision. He is 36, doubtfully he would be champ (bantamweight is very competable right now, he has lost his title opportunity and next might be only in couple of years), in addition he fight rarely recently.

Fighters can greatly improve their stamina with that mountain air, train with best wrestlers, then go back to US or Thailand and train few weeks of striking and that is it Cheesy

this will be a very interesting fight, Ankalaev has not lost a fight on UFC since his debut in 2018, Blachowicz is 39 years old and very good in Muay Thai and has great power in his punches and kicks and is also good in grappling, I would say that if he went to the mountains of Dagestan, he would become so strong that he could fight gorillas. Ankalaev is only 30 years old and has experience in combat sambo, he also has wrestling and kickboxing skills, perhaps he would not be ideal in the mountains of Dagestan.  Grin but seriously, my opinion is that Ankalaev will win this fight, he's younger, he may have greater physical resistance than his opponent, he can take advantage of this big difference in age, of course the opponent is experienced and skilled and that's why this reason cannot be underestimated, but I believe that Ankalaev will win this fight and I intend to bet on Ankalaev, the odd for Ankalaev to win is @1.36 and it is not a bad thing if it is added in a parlay

He has a couple of recurring injuries now.  When he fought Sandhagen his knee blew up and there's his shoulder popping off vs Sterling.  And yeah, he's getting old at age 36 which is kinda old for a bantam weight.

Anyway here's a couple of vids to watch before making your bets for the Topuria vs Mitchell match up which I think should be the co main event.  This match up could also be a main event for a Fight Night imho  Both of them are wrestlers, they are ranked and both undefeated.  I got the underdog for this one in Mitchell as I think he has better wrestling than Topuria.

I think bookies underestimate Blachovicz. He was a UFC champ. You dont become a champ for nothing. Blachowicz has only two losses during last 5 years. I think odds should be more or less even. Ankalaev is undefeated, but his 9-1 in UFC, and not every his opponent was from top15. Anyway, the fight is going to be great. Both have equal chances imho. Ankalaev is not that “I am from Dagestan, means I am super cool at wrestling”. He is a striker more, record proves that, but Blachovicz is better against a striker, than a submission artist.

I'm hoping Jan takes it. I like him, even though he took the zero off one of my favourite fighters (Izzy). He seems a nice guy outside of the UFC, and he's an entertaining fighter for the most part. Honestly though, I don't see him winning this one, but I'm definitely hoping to be proved wrong.

I'm probably going to miss yet another event this weekend, it's been a horrible year for watching UFC for me. I've just had too much things going on. Anyway, I will try to get predictions out regardless. I know some of you appreciate it here, even though I'm always bloody wrong.

He is nice guy who is approaching the end of his carrier, and I am taking bet on Ankalaev against him every day.
I don't think we are going to find good odds for straight win but maybe we could try some special bet, or bet $1 million like some guys are doing on World Cup matches... this is not my suggestion Smiley
I think this fight won't go to distance and odds are better on this.
