Many assume Real Madrid will beat Chelsea away today, but I think the game will be similar to yesterday's Manchester City game against Atletico Madrid. Anyway I think Chelsea will win at home, and the recent big loss to Brentford was a big mistake. But tonight is a completely different match, which Chelsea will approach with all their strength. Yes, Real have players like Benzema or Junior who can score, but Chelsea also have something to show on the field! Chelsea have never lost to Real Madrid at home yet!

I feel pity for Benfica, all those hard work against Ajax only to come and face Liverpool, I would have preferred Ajax against Liverpool than Benfica. Benfica have done their best I think they played very well and bravely in the 1st leg match even though they accepted the defeat but I think it is very reasonable because Liverpool are stronger than them and Liverpool are the favorites to win the UCL this season.
Liverpool's 3-1 victory made it very easy for them to qualify for the semi-finals because the 2nd leg will be played at their own home and they only need a draw to ensure they qualify.

Real has been playing pretty well lately, the way they knocked out PSG says a lot about it, Benzema is playing again, and there's Modric and others... while Chelsea has that bad game in the last round also at home (1:4 vs Brentford), the question is whether they are mentally ready to clash and bring victory?! Bookmakers prefer Chelsea, maybe just because they play at home?! I think x2 is a good bet for this game, but let's not forget, Real lost the first game against PSG and then won at home, can we expect a similar scenario?!
I'm still thinking about what to play on Villareal vs Bayern! Villarreal proved to be a very tricky opponent and it will certainly not be easy for Bayern tonight, but that doesn't mean that they cannot reach a minimum victory! It is difficult to predict the Chelsea vs Real Madrid match because both teams are equally strong, although Chelsea had a good track in the Champions League last season because they were able to get rid of Real Madrid in the semifinals 3-1 on aggregate.
Victory last season is not a guarantee for Chelsea because in the previous EPL match against Brentford losing 4-1 will be an introspection for Chelsea that must be addressed, Real Madrid is in its best form, especially Karim Benzema who must be wary of.

3-1, it's lovely score line and a pleasant outcome. Big advantage for second leg at Anfield. Liverpool's 3-1 victory made eight straight away games across all competitions in the club history. Their strategies further developed a lot when next match is an away game. It's because they have a tactically sound manager. I hope their winning streak at dominate will proceed, it's really important.

Ajax didnt have much luck against Benfica and thats why they were knockout plus Ajax was in bad form. Also Liverpool is on another level then Benfica and it was seen yesterday. We already know its gonna take a miracle from Benfica to go into the next round. For sure it would have been a better duel between Ajax and Liverpool.

Ajax lost to Benfica. But Ajax's performance was good enough. Benfica is fortunate to have beaten a team like Ajax to qualify for the quarter-finals. However, Liverpool is a very experienced team. I didn't think Benfica could play well against them. The match was one-sided. However, if the match between Ajax and Liverpool had been held, the match would have been competitive. Because Ajax is very attacking and trying to score goals.

A tough and hard game will be for Real Madrid as they will be with their coach the former Chelsea manager, Carlos Ancellotti, although they did win against Celta Vigo during the weekend in he's absence,after been awarded three penalties in that game.

Chelsea - Real Madrid is, in my opinion, by far the most interesting match of the Champions League quarter-finals. After all, the defender of the title is meeting the team that won the European Cup the most times in history. Both teams are definitely dreaming of a victory this year as well. Which opponent would have been much easier than Liverpool in the quarterfinals? The only one I can think would have been Villareal, but even the club has become difficult to play. In my opinion, Benfica is the weakest of all quarterfinalists, so it's a great success to have made it this far at all, especially to win against a team like Ajax a round before.

A hard win for city against atleteco with just one goal but it still enough for guardiola squad in my opinion, i don't think atleteco will cause so much problems for city in the second matche and they will score at least 1 goal because atleteco will not play defensively and tgey will try to score which will make the match more open and city players will find many spaces

In six years, Pep Guardiola has spent over a  billion pounds building the perfect team for Manchester City. It will be a disappointment if Manchester City fails to win the Champions league. He has quality players and all the resources at his disposal. Winning the premier league is not enough, Manchester City need to win the champions league.

benfica in recent years has been a very weak team due to problems in the management of the club itself. I myself am surprised that they made it far in the champions league

Yes i would've prefered ajax too i think they are much better than benfica and they have an offensive style but benfica team did a good job getting to this point but unlucky for them the champions league is filled with tough opponents and in such an advanced stage it was inevitable to face a team like liverpool.

I tried to review Atletico Madrid's stats and I was really surprised that they didn't have a single shot in the whole game despite seeing them on the counter-attack a few times. Simeone's strategy in the first leg was boring because it seemed like he just wanted to show Manchester City that they can defend well. LOL

Meanwhile Liverpool played more attractively where they won the match as we expected. Benfica put up a good fight and they also scored although the result didn't cost Liverpool too much. A 1-3 win against Benfica will make Liverpool's chances of qualifying for the next round bigger. I think Manchester City will also qualify for the semifinals despite only winning 1-0 at home yesterday.

Ajax Amsterdam is more deserving of getting into the quarter-finals than Benfica. Being able to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League this year I can say is a high achievement for Benfica but Ajax Amsterdam this year was not lucky or luck favored Benfica.

When Benfica managed to qualify, I thought that Benfica would be the team that would surprise their opponents and when the drawing was made with their result against Liverpool, then Benfica would definitely surprise Liverpool fans. That's my opinion. But in reality, Benfica actually became one of the weakest teams among the teams that competed in the Quarter Finals.

I liked the Atletico Madrid game. Of course Manchester City looked much better. But the whole game was built on Kevin de Bruyne. Atletico played very well with Antoine Griezmann, and I don't understand why Simeone decided to replace him and two other players right at the end of the second half. I think Griezmann could well have scored! Let's see what happens in the return match. Judging by the game, Atletico could try to pull out a win!

As expected, Manchester City are supposed to look better in the game than Atletico Madrid and that's because of their contrasting style of play. The all attacking team is always perceived to be the better team but honestly Aletico Madrid did great until the 80th minute time frame. It took Phil Foden who came from the bench to make the difference. His pass to De Buryne was everything they needed to change the game.

It was a great night for Liverpool especially. They got what they wanted against Benfica surely by defeating them 3-1 away. In fact, the second half was quite interesting. Benfica started to play much better and found some space in Liverpool defense. Actually it happened many times even after Benfica decreased the goal gap to one. But Liverpool finally ended this threat by scoring their third goal. And they missed a clear chance in the last minute too. But they would surely eliminate Benfica now.

If in the match between Chelsea and Manchester City I have doubts about who will win, then about Villarreal against Bayern I have no doubt that Bayern will win last year's Europa League champions.
