Mixed feelings about this. Now we see Japan reopened and in China too, second wave is hitting hard and making everyone else think twice. I love my football and want to see everything restart again but my team especially now will be hit hard so I'm not sure they're the best to come out of this. And then if second wave hits, we'll be forced for sure to just cancel everything.

Right now we all need to be positive for future because most of Sports Authorties doing hard for start of season again but health officials still not happy about this because they feel this could be cause more troubles but I am also feeling now time for some work and hopefully we will be good in closed doors for rest of this season and then move more good for next season in future.

The same is going to happen in Europe and eventually in Spain.

@slaman29 it’s a delicate situation for them because if they cancel the league now then they’ll suffer huge losses, and if they allow the league to continue then they risk players and staff lives if they interact with a Corona infected person, but I won’t judge them if they continue to resume the league despite the risk of the virus spreading due to it. Furthermore I believe that they’ll take best possible care to prevent the spread of the virus, and hence let’s hope for the best and pray that no one gets infected with the virus while playing in the league.

i am sure that they will now take all necessary precautions, especially in La liga, not sure for lower division, but it will be for La liga
it should be noted that a bunch of Valencia players is infected in a match in Bergamo, with Atalanta, which leads to the fact that it is easy to get infected during the match, and they brought virus home, so many more people is infected, so precautions are necessary and important

As much as I like my football I would always side with the health officials on this. Even if it means we play again in 2021, I would rather that happen than anything else. But yes, let's see. if training goes well, and for weeks everyone is fine, then we can go on and decide what to do next.

Losses should not mean so much for the teams at all, I understand teams that are already in financial dire situation even before this started but the big teams should not really be in trouble at all. I get it, there are billions of dollars at risk (when you combine all teams together) and that is a big revenue, however they are missing the long term.

If you do not force players to play and lose all that revenue, and even be in debt because of all the penalties you will get for not finishing the league, that will be only horrible for few seasons. Even if Barcelona has lets say 1 billion dollars loss of revenue AND one billion dollars in penalties that they have to pay, do you really think it should matter to them? Will they be suffering that 10-20 years from now? It will be all gone and forgotten totally, so that means only for few years they will suffer but eventually they will recover one day.

This crises has hit both big and small clubs. It would be logical that bigger clubs can cope with loss of revenue much easier but lot of those big clubs have very expensive rosters of players and it snowballs very quickly. Only good thing that will come out of all this is that player prices will come down to a bit more realistic levels. No more 200M for top players.

It goes to show how much the current global situation is always centered around making only massive profits. They have been making millions of profits for the past many years, and they can't even afford call off business for a few months?

Personally i would prefer sound Health to everyone first including staff and fans before we start worrying about "losses"

Only good thing that will come out of all this is that player prices will come down to a bit more realistic levels. No more 200M for top players.

Is that really a good development, players worth rose or has risen because of revenues and how much money is generated and involved in football, if cost of players drop, it means football is suffering and it will take time to start generating the kind of revenues it used to, and with time, it will and players cost will also rise with it(it will all be temporary imo).

Even when football resumes and despite the crisis various clubs will be facing, big players will still have a huge price tag, it'll be better for the clubs to keep their world class stars, than sell them for lower than what they value them at.

Huge price tag is a relative term depending on the situation but if you are referring to the huge price tags of the recent transfer windows, The i don't think what you are saying is right.

Do you think the likes of Mbappe, Neymar etc will cost again in the range of 200M as soon as this crisis is done? No, i don't think so. In fact many clubs will be looking to recover from the financial losses and not waste lots on money to overrated transfers.

I'm not sure where did you got news about second wave in China. Number of new COVID-19 cases daily in China is very little and stable and most of these infected people actually arrived to China from other countries:

It's very likely that second wave will hit in autumn. But I'm not really sure that we can keep everything closed for years and it's not only about football, but about all things in general. Virus won't simply gone one day and probably we will have to live with it. We will have to return to normal life one day. Even if vaccine will be made, question how effective it will be. Look at flu vaccine, every year they have to make new vaccine, because old simply doesn't work anymore.
Ins Spain, Italy, people return to work slowly, despite risks. I think it's just not possible that football leagues to wait until it will be completely safe to play.

yeah, it has to be divided between essential that are still active despite virus, and non-essential as football, that are not active now, but will be in the summer

one thing that has to be taken care of is the audience, and i do not think that any league, la liga included, will play with audience until the end of the year, no matter what costs, it is just too much risk having more than 50 thousand people on an event

It looks like Real will have to abandon many of their plans this year due to the financial crisis.
Real's planned annual budget was €822m and planned costs 741 million.
A 20% loss for this year would be optimistic scenario or 161 million euro.
Real earns €50m a year from annual tickets and membership fees and if viewers do not return soon Real will lose very much in this segment.
Club shops, which bring in around 25m euros a year, have also been closed.
They've gone into cutting costs at the club and players' salaries have already been cut by 10% but that's not enough.
It seems that Real will mainly sell players this summer and only if raise enough money they will try to bring some new player.
It looks like Real's biggest reinforcements will be the players returning from loan, Hakimi and Odegaard.

good news, indeed, hope that we will see end of this season, even without viewers, i think that we will have to wait certain time for stadiums to be full again, i am not such an live viewer on a stadium to go weekly, maybe few times a year, but skip next season completely for sure due to virus, it is better to wait for the audience, we can watch on TV

Good news...And that statement is coming from Spanish PM so there is no restrain from government on holding these leagues. Spanish government were loosening the coronavirus lockdown so this was something I anticipated to happen soon.

Still it will takes some time since the federation responsible will hold meeting and come down to conclusion with this season's future and date of return. Perhaps June could be possible month of return?  Can't wait to see some real football action

All fans would love to see this news and indeed this is the most awaited where LaLiga will continue even though with the door closed for me this is no problem because fans would want to see his favorite club play again to win their title this season.

Although this is not a definite conclusion when it will start, but seeing news like that will certainly make us confident in what is experienced by lockdown where when it is no longer bored at home.

I think that if they find a single person positive this will not be enough to stop the whole league again.However if because of league reopening we see massive new cases of Covid 19 that would make sure that we would see another full stop of the league.
