Have you tried to play fottball or do other intensive physical activity wearing mask. It make breathing complicated and mask become vet very fast, so it makes more harm than good. And wearing mask would be pointless, because football is not contactless football, so even with mask you can get inffected easily. As I read article, there is no word about wearing masks during game. Ok I understand now. You guys are right, now that I think about it. I won't push it off further now as there isn't anything official as of now. It's probably more about players who are sitting on bench or when they arrive at training ground. Yeah that could be it, probably. Sorry for giving the wrong idea here guys.

So ok... What would happen if one of these players catch the bug while in training or during a match? Shut the league down again?
I mean... It could happen.
It depends of the scale of the infection tho. If a player was infected outside of the stadium, most likely he will be excluded for 2-3 weeks or more. At the opposite if a horizontal transmission is spotted between players of the same team which can affect that team performance, or between +2 teams then this could definitely be a reason to hold everything again and of course cancel the Liga... But then again, if one player has it, it could mean that more of them who shared the pitch could be having it and spreading it too. If that's the case, what now?

I don't think that the match will use masks on their faces to avoid viruses, it will be difficult for players to use like that when competing.
Wearing a mask during a match may sound silly and quite disturbing to the breath of the players and I dont expect the authority of La Liga to apply this rule to those on the pitch as I have said. It is possible that backup players and other staff can use masks for better protection even though there are no official rules about this. So ok... What would happen if one of these players catch the bug while in training or during a match? Shut the league down again? I mean... It could happen.
All the players who will return to training I think are those who have been declared healthy and free from viruses during the test session. But the virus can still infect them if this player does not perform an independent quarantine after the game is finished. Limiting the space for players and staff during the pandemic is still important if the season continues.

Imagine if half a dozen first team players catch the virus. Does the team list them as unfit to play like they have usually been doing with injured players and then continue the matches with other reserve players or do all the players in the team get quarantined and the league gets paused once again? We all know players catching this virus is inevitable

We all know players catching this virus is inevitable That is the real problem here. FA can set up the league perfectly, they can even put whole teams into quarantine but there will always be some players who will not follow the rules and some of them will bring the virus back. There are also probably some teams which would like to see league scraped in order to avoid relegation. What if somebody intentionally tries to stop the league and force some decision?

There is no effort if the FA has decided all of it for players who carry the virus of his team will certainly be quarantined further because if allowed they will be infected all then from that every team must make a better decision on appeal must fight against the league to not be relegated I know that is not what the Bahwan team wants, but what is the effort if this can happen after playing with other teams will certainly bring big problems again. But I'm sure this is no longer an obstacle and the rules must still be obeyed if possible if there is a violation it will be sanctioned.

I think there will be some teams trying to stop the league due to the threat of relegation but if there's no more games this season a lot of clubs will lose lots of tv money so it might level out. I think the majority of clubs want to finish the league.

There are also probably some teams which would like to see league scraped in order to avoid relegation. That's only natural, I'd say the spirit of the financial benefits outweighs the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play in modern football. What if somebody intentionally tries to stop the league and force some decision? What Salomon Kalou of Hertha Berlin( German league) did a few days ago could arguably fall under this category, and I strongly think there will be severe consequences if discovered. I read a Thibaut Courtois interview stating how unfair it would be to hand over the league to Barcelona if the season cannot be completed, and Barcelona Coach also stated that he'd rather have the league completed and doesn't want a title handed to his team under a circumstance such as this.

La Liga and other football competitions become part of a football competition which gets huge losses due to lost revenue from competition delays. This situation made eight La Liga clubs submit requests to get help from the Spanish government by using a system called ERTE to guarantee the salaries of all their employees in several ways, one of which was to cut salaries from players at the senior level. Football Espana reported that the financial activities of the eight La Liga clubs will get the spotlight from the Spanish government, spending on the purchase of players must also get approval. The eight clubs consist of Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Sevilla, Deportivo Alaves, RCD Espanyol, Granada, and Osasuna.

If the league is not going to start again then it is better to cancel it. It is indeed unfair if the first team get the title without completing the season and of course I don't think that anyone is going to allow it. There are still a lot of games to be played, and if they will not be played then La Liga should decide for the cancellation of the league.

Imo neither cancelling the whole competition nor stopping it and awarding the title to the current first position able to solve the issue completely. It would be get pros and cons no matter the reasons behind, especially because there are many businesses contributing for football nowadays. Got a latest news that both Barca and Madrid players begin covid testing this morning [1]. Lets hope all of them are okay and fit to play. Though I personally still feel the situation aint getting better yet to resume the competition. [1] https://www.beinsports.com/en/la-liga/news/barca-real-players-begin-covid-19-testing/1461635

That is the worry. And we've seen lots of instances where players just don't follow the rules in real life, what more to say about during this period in lockdown? And we all know there is always an idiot who will jeopardise everything and everyone. So I hope the idiots can sit still for a month. And there will always be idiots who will try to sabotage the league as you say. Fans who don't want to see their team go down. Yeah, it's entirely possible.

That is why you do not make it a thing that you ask them to do, you make it a mandatory thing instead and that is how you could stop them from doing something stupid. For example if you want to make sure there is nothing going around that is risky, just play all games on the same stadium somewhere and since there is no fans watching there it will basically be home court to everyone involved. You put all players and staff on the same hotel (or hotels) and ask them to only go to games and come back to hotel and do nothing else, contact no one else for a little while until league ends. After all you can have like 3 games a week if you max it out, Monday- Thursday- Saturday and you will finish the league quickly. If a player doesn't follow and goes out, he is not welcomed back, he is suspended until league ends.

No way that would stop all the players. They are used to certain lifestyles and treat that as their right. They just don't think same rules apply to them. One example. Walker from City organizes a party with prostitutes and then half hour after they are gone posts video about importance of social distancing. I am quite sure that for every such example that goes public there is at least 10 and probably 100 more that stay hidden.

3 players have tested positive for covid19 ahead of the training sessions starting this weekend and next week: - Remiro (Real Sociedad). Source- Lodi (Atletico Madrid). Source- Herrera (Granada). SourceNo word from the LFP or the government yet, but just like it happened in Germany, players testing positive shouldn't change the schedule proposed by the govt and the league federation (in germany, the restart of bundesliga, and in Spain, training sessions next week).

I don't think the players that have tested positive ahead of training will have any effects on their plans to resume, with regards to happened Germany I was expecting a further postponement of the resumption date, but It seems the government finally regard the virus to be less threatening. I learnt certain teams in spain have resumed training sessions already as of yesterday, according to goal.com

Now this is a threat again if the three positive players of CoLive 19 certainly will be very worried about the other players where training will begin soon next week, are they not allowed to return to their respective teams? If the match is postponed again of course this will be the best thing for all because it is feared to be infected again, if in the Bundesliga will still be in the title maybe they are already consistent with what will happen later maybe prevention already exists.

As long as players are tested and there are positive ones, they will basically be ruled out until they test negative and thats basically it. I do not see if there is a reason positive results should change anything at all, the whole idea was from the start was to put players in big testing areas and keep testing them constantly, every single day if they could and thats how they were planning on getting to know if anyone was positive, well here we go there are positives, they knew this could potentially happen which is why they were getting tested to begin with. I do not believe their whole idea was "start training, if one test comes positive we cancelling everything out" no way, they would just send those players back home and test the other ones to see if they got infected and as long as everyone else is negative they will simply just continue.

Very interesting article in today's edition of Marca: https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2020/05/10/5eb83ccae2704e19a18b4592.htmlWith Tottenham out the way, do all roads for Gareth Bale lead to Newcastle?Newcastle appears to be getting new, wealthy owners from saudi arabia, who are willing to invest 400 million euro in this Club and wants to attack the top of the league. From the article: '' As MARCA understand, Bale's name is now being talked about as a priority for the new owners, who would have the money to afford him''. It will be interesting to follow this story further.
