Marca, Friday (17/4), RFEF Delegation Commission considered all possible situations related to European competition for next season. RFEF gives priority to teams that are in the Champions League qualification zone when the competition is stopped in Spain.
Mean, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Sevilla, and Real Sociedad will qualify for the highest caste competition between European clubs because they are in the top four. While Atletico Madrid and Getafe must be eliminated and qualify for the Europa League.

ATM must bury their dreams of competing in the Champions League next season if the RFEF proposal is approved..  ATM did not have the chance to catch up in the standings because all the Spanish league matches stopped, hopefully, ATM supporters will not be sad..

@Chrystora123 this news will break the heart of many Athletico Madrid fans, and I personally feel that their presence will be missed in the champions league if this decision is approved. However there’s something to cheer for Atletico Madrid fans too, as this is not the official decision and this decision may not even be approved.

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) proposed on Thursday that La Liga's current standings decide which teams qualify for European competitions if the season has to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.

La Liga and UEFA have not given their approval to the plan, with both governing bodies insisting they are still focused on finding a way to ensure domestic seasons are completed.

Well, they still can get spot in UCL, they just need to win Champions league. IIRC, winner of Champions league get spot in next year tournament.
Such scenario would be bad for Getafe too. They would finnish 5th, despite that they have same number of points as Real Sociedad, who are 4th now.
But I think it's just theorical scenario. Ending season in current phase is just worst case scenario, they are just going to resume season when it will be safe to do it.

Let's not overreact with those player names and think that it will make them the European champions once again right off the bat. Even if they somehow manage to get Haaland, Mbappe and Camavingu, that doesn't mean they will be suddenly an amazing team that is unstoppable. Sure that is a good team but that team is not suddenly better than everyone else all of a sudden, it is just a "quarter finals guaranteed" team if they do meet any other super teams and thats it.

I would say in a game between Madrid without bale+modric and others you listed that will be sold, and adding haaland+mbappe+camavingu versus the current Liverpool team, I would say I would still give Liverpool a bigger chance because they have been playing together longer and have a system in place.

I don't think it's worth to pay much attention to such articles these days. There is football in action, but media still have to fill their websites somehow and attract readers. I don't think it's possible that Haland would move to Real this year, after being bought by Borussia this winter. I don't follow French league, so I don't know Camavingu, but I believe he is talented. But there is always risk to buy teenagers. Just look at Joao Felix - he was star in Benfica, but he haven't show anything impressive in Atletico.

I think that whole mask thing was just a simple joke... I don't it was supposed to be serious or even seriously taken by people.  How i wish this announcement was made on April Fools' Day

They (players) have to do harder and deeper breath that will have bad impacts on their physical performance. I think it is a joke and it will be very very weird if we see players wearing face masks in real matches. Even if clubs design special face masks for their players, and maybe home and away face masks (like what we have with shirt kits) to make matches more colorful, I still think it is weird. It is a sign of world appocalypse.

If all of them occur, clubs have another tool to promote their brands, through face-masks, and fans will have another option to buy and support their favorite clubs.

I wonder if it would be easy for the players to play football with masks.
It would be very hard to breath with them and it might have negative impact to their performance due to the limited air that will be flown to their lungs. It is a good solution for protection to those who are sitting on the bench though.

No. it will be difficult for their breathing to play football it really needs a quick breath if wearing a mask it will be hampered and it could be that they are exhausted because of breathing and I think the competition using a mask will be a lot of protest from the parties.

It would be very hard to breath with them and it might have negative impact to their performance due to the limited air that will be flown to their lungs. It is a good solution for protection to those who are sitting on the bench though.

This is still a polemic and I don't think this will happen except on the bench that you say is true, I think the higher-ups are still discussing this when football will start again.

Well, we have talked about this before and decided that the masks are probably not for players but for more like promotional reasons so that teams could make a bit more money. Plus these are not even proper masks, these are more like designer scarf type of things because they are not really all that protective aside from being thick, masks are made from something special which you can use inside of these and then put these on afterwards which may work out to make it look better.

All the above, I see this as cash grab by the teams so that they could make some profits while everyone is at home and leagues are cancelled for now and they are not making any single profit at all, which is why they decided to make something like this. Otherwise players would definitely hard time playing with these for sure.

tired because it's hard to breathe because of wearing a mask, that's for sure what will happen to the players..  using a ventilator or astronaut suit is much better and healthier, even though the burden of their clothes is increasing

Lol  there's no way the soccer game will be cut short due to wearing a mask. I don't think that makes sense.

What is clear is still looking for the best solution to start the LaLiga match in the next few months, it is better to wait for the results of the decision of the top brass to do for the LaLiga match.

• The place of practice or residence is determined.

The granting of a training permit was one of the results of a meeting between the RFEF (Spanish Football Federation), La Liga, and the Spanish National Sports Council (CSD) which lasted eight hours at the Palacio de Viana.A

La Liga is predicted to run again in June, but CSD does not confirm when the exact date or time the training session resumed.  In addition, a fund of 10 million euros is also prepared to help athletes who need it.

Looks like good preventive and screening approach but who will be responsible for costs of such campaigns, clubs are responsible for all their members (staffs, and players)?

Sounds good to have the potential come back of La Liga in June. I don't know all clubs in Spain, or in La Liga in particular, have agreed with the plan to finish the season. Are there some clubs disagree with the plan? In Italy, there are some clubs officially state that they don't agree with the plan to play rest matches and finish the season.
