On line portal RAC1 claims that Barcelona hid that there are 7 infected with the corona virus in the Club, five players and two members of the professional staff.
They became infected at the beginning of the pandemic and have now recovered.
If this news is confirmed to be correct, will it affect the start of La Liga, what do you think?

 How could people who are recovered would affect the league starting? I mean if anything thats even better. I am not entirely sure if you can get the virus again when you already had it, but I am %99 sure that people would be surviving the second one when they get infected even if they can. Which means its even better to be infected and recover if anything. The trouble is not the ones that recovered, its the ones that never really had it to begin with. Those could be infected and it could really disturb the league. Right now we are all talking about how they are going to come back because everything looks fine, but there is tons of talks about second wave and if that happens I think they would have to cancel this time.

I did the same with the bundesliga for while, didn't played on the first two games but the last games I had some wagers, still wasn't big, peanuts versus what I used to gamble with but at least it was something. It made the games a bit more entertaining but for some reason German football never really thrilled me, so I am really hoping to see some la liga action very soon, I want to really gamble on games that I would already watch without gambling as well. That is the case for premier league as well and they are coming back too.

Unfortunately NBA is postponed until end of July so that is gonna take some time but if my calculations are right, as soon as la liga is reaching its end, NBA will start which would be the perfect timing to continue gambling on what I love to watch.

And what about other clubs in the league?
I believe you are all aware that even one infected person is enough to ruin the plan to continue this league?
I'm very worried that other clubs are also hiding the truth about the number of infected people and how this will affect the continuation of the league.

Today I came to Sportsbet.io and checked the odds on parlay of these 6 games they will play, which I get 2 options below;
- The odds for parlay of those 6 big teams to win : 30.35
- The odds for parlay of those 6 big teams to win or draw : 3.04

The second one would be a better and safer option bet I think, but if you want to just get fun and exciting bet on the first week of LaLiga after it's stopped for 2 months, you might try to bet small amount on the first option

I looked at schedule and I see that Barca and Real will have easy opponents. But some other top 6 will have tricky games, like Atletico will play against Athletic away or there will be derby of Sevilla too.

I don't think that they are hiding truth. As I understand, all players were tested before return to training and tests shows that they had virus previously. But when they had it, they had no idea about it, because there was no symptoms. I remember reading about virus cases in Valencia, Getafe, Alaves, so clubs aren't to hide these things.
Now it would be simply impossible to hide such things. All players are tested, so if they would have virus, they would have to go into quarantine and wouldn't be allowed to play.

Those infected players and staffs are better to exclude from the main team. Even if they are already recovered, there is no guarantee that they won't carry the virus to others. AFAIK, recovered people still have a chance to transmit the virus to others, and they also can be sick again. I still think that it is not the right time yet to restart the competition. Make sure everything really safe/secure, then it is no problem to continue the league.

Xavi was just an example I gave as a result of the news I read. I think it would be a name that all Barcelona fans could be satisfied with. But of course, nobody knows what kind of coach he will be. To me, Xavi may be good because he knows Barcelona's culture closely. It would also be a name that all players playing in Barcelona would respect. Of course, the conundrum is whether Xavi can be successful. But Xavi's football knowledge is very high. Perhaps it would be beneficial for Xavi to work with a more experienced mana for several years.

Big money is at stake and that is why the responsible people in the Spanish Football Association will do everything they can to somehow complete the football season.
Personally, I think that the Spanish Football Association doesn't put the health of players in the first place, but they are more worried about possible financial losses.
Football should be played for the sake of the fans, and it shouldn't be played in empty stadiums, just for the sake of money, and not taking care of the health of the players.

Yeah that wouldn't be easy matches for both Atleti and Sevilla. But getting 4 loses from the last 6 matches isn't a good record for Bilbao, while Atleti only got 1 lose. Though Atleti got 3 draws and I think the draw result is fair enough for both team. Regarding Sevilla, they got 8 points from their last 5 games, and Real Betis only 5 points. I'm aware these statistics are hard to be taken as reference due to current situation, but we can't just ignore it.

During the recovery process, a person who is cured must do independent isolation because they can still spread the virus even though each person has a time that varies between 2-10 days.

Confirmed that this is correct. Anyone can get infected by the Virus even if they haved been infected and survived before.

I saw these news on many popular websites in different languages and it got enough exposure. As I understand, players got virus without symptoms somewhere back in March or April and now they are completely healthy and tested negative. So, there is no reason to isolate them from training.

Of course, nothing isolates them now from training because they have received intensive care during the healing period. The negative test result is the success of the medical team in handling this case from the Barcelona players and staff. Its nice if they are completely healed and the results are negative.

There are many cases of people being cured but when retesting the results are positive. Whatever the situation, being aware of something is one of the best ways to prevent a bigger problem from happening.

Ah I see, I didn't get any result at the time I searched it. I don't think Barca want to spend money when they are still in crisis^[1] because of current situation. They even selling masks in their official store^[2], to get uhm, more money. Beside that, their rivals also could sue Barca for this kind of act since it could risk their own players if the news is real. I think all parties are trying to bring the league back.

When I sew this news in Croatian online portal I tried to find original article but couldn't.
I don't understand spanish so couldn't search there.
Unfortunately,  Croatian portal only shared news but didn't share original link.
So, it seems there is no way to confirm this news.
If true,  it's big scandal to hide something like this from the public.

I don't think something like this should be public information. It is sensitive information which should protected by doctor-patient relation. Granted in this case there could be a conflict of interest since both the doctor and the patient are employed by the same club so there should be someone to oversee this results. Probably on the level of Spanish football association with unbiased personnel doing the at least some of the tests in the clubs.

Public shouldn't be able to know the results other than total number of people positive in the whole Spanish football association. Something similar to what Premier League is sharing with the media.

We have seen it quite often from smaller clubs with less resources (player wise) who know they cannot possibly win the league AND compete in all the cup games so they try to aim for cup games for prize money. UCL is extra lucrative because every round you win gives you millions. They are a really good team on their day, but they cannot maintain consistency thus the results in the league.

Correct. That's why we can't take Copa Del Rey game as a reference to scale performance of some team. They usually put their 2nd squad into the game to let players who rarely get into line-up to play. So it's not a surprising thing at all to see some big teams lose in domestic cup competition even if their opponent is from 2nd or 3rd league.

Right now all teams had like 3 months break, I feel like neither losing to bottom teams nor winning against Liverpool really means anything to these teams anymore. Sure when you got the momentum either doing good or doing bad you will probably continue until you break that momentum but if we had a 3 month break so there is really no momentum for any team at all.

Each team will start like it is the first games of the season and they will probably not have anything psychologically neither. They are also not that bad on the rankings neither, they look sixt on paper but they are just 2 points behind the third team, so they could become a very good team ending the season at third and gain a ton of money from it and go to champions league, all thanks to couple wins in a row.
