Interesting article today in Marca: Roures: ''Barcelona have a big hole in their accounts and no one seems to care''
Mediapro CEO Jaume Roures is very concerned about the financial situation in Barcelona.
It seems that the club's management had to reduce the salaries of some players by as much as 70% in order to survive financially.
The club seems to have a big financial hole that no one cares about.
This doesn't seem to be good news for the future of the club and its ambitions.

Fun fact: Real Madrid will play their home games at the "Alfredo di Stéfano Stadium" for the rest of the season (the "new" Santiago Bernabeu is under construction right now).

This means that Covid19 will be showing us something ... But this is perfectly normal. In a normal progressing season, a refurbishment would have made everything more difficult. I think this is a positive thing for R. Madrid. As long as the field floor is good, there will be no problem. I am sure about the ground, everything will be done until the matches start.

great news, it was 12 June yesterday, today it is 8 June, so maybe they will even start next week, just kidding, it is a great news to see the league continued, and not ended as some in Europe, it will be a tough schedule in following weeks for teams in Spain

June 8 is the date that the Spanish government gave permission to start for Laliga. It can start on any day after this date. The decision about this will be made by the Football Federation. So the Spanish football federation will announce a calendar for starting.

Yeah you got it right. It will start June 8th afterwards or in that week. Still official calendar is yet to be revealed by the football federation. What important is that Spanish government gives the green light to the LaLiga's plan to restart in June. Still the preferred date is June 12th Friday as La Liga president Javier Tabas said, so I think it is very likely resume according to that like we used to have the gamedays before the lockdown.

"If we are looking at the economic impact, including the money we would get from European competitions, the revenue Spanish clubs would miss out on if we don't get back playing again is 1bn euros. If we do get playing but without spectators, it would be 300m.

It's just normal when celebrating a goal because it has become a rule during a pandemic so no one can do that, well indeed this does not make sense but for me this is true because it is in the interest of the other players.

At times like this, the rules are more stringent, we are still fortunate that football was resumed during the pandemic because indeed in Europe it was the worst hit that I saw.

So LaLiga will certainly enforce this kind of rule.

Anyway regardless of the restrictions. Football is a contact sport, you can't avoid players from getting in close contact with others. From grappling during corner kicks to tackles. The hand shake rules is totally useless in this case.

My heartrate went downto normal when I read that:

Only Marc-Andre ter Stegen, Gerard Pique, Frenkie de Jong, Antoine Griezmann, Lionel Messi and Ansu Fatu can be sure that their future lies at Barcelona next season.

Without doubt, N1 player who will be left in barcelona, of course, would be Lionel Messi. Then Antoine Griezmann, Pique and Ter Stegen. FC Barcelona is my favourite club, I love that Barcelona is more than just a club. Hope Jordi Alba won't be transferred into another team, I love this player too. Btw to be fair, I miss old good days where we had a chance to view Chavi, Iniesta, Puyol and others, just good old memories.
Btw usually I don't have enough time to watch live football matches and especially FC Barcelona matches so I am a little bit sad that I am missing a moments to see how amazing Messi is and how his dribbling skills conquers the world.

Anyway regardless of the restrictions. Football is a contact sport, you can't avoid players from getting in close contact with others. From grappling during corner kicks to tackles. The hand shake rules is totally useless in this case.

How about this if they are limited maybe they will play in a hurry lol, social distance can be done but it will not apply on the field when the match starts, while the opponent is always in close contact with other players so this will not be avoided in my opinion.

The rules are too complicated if applied maybe the player is not familiar with this, I'm sure there is another solution behind this problem.

However, there have been a lot of problems in Barcelona lately, from not accepting a new coach, departure of some board members to Messi’s statement that he is not happy and that he is not sure that Barcelona can win the European Champions League this year.
For the sake of loyal Barcelona fans, I hope that they will overcome these problems and win in all competitions.

It is better for them to get ride of some players who are useless and all the time injured, even tho the staff is responsible in a way or another for such situation.

There is still a chance for barcelona to win this season with LaLiga and CL but really remember that at the moment barcelona is quite tight so it must be able to show its performances on the pitch the players must also be prepared when the league starts in June.

Suarez had serious injury and it was said that he won't return this season, but then this Covid-19 situation happened and he got time and now it's likely that he will return when seasin will restart. It's very good news for Barca because before season was stopped we had serious problems in attack, struggling to score even against bottom table tesms.
And yeah, Barca are in good positions to win La Liga and maybe Champions league. But there is serious problems around club - big financial issues, questionable transfers policy, whole drama before upcoming president elections.

Even if all those player did alot personal training and get back into shape, top tier player will always have the advantage. You cant always beat talent with hardwork and in this case Messi will still be on his top performance once La Liga start again compare with most player

Please don't think of it this way. Instead, think of it as a start of a season after a long summer break. Professional players like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo do keep their personal trainings and mostly back to a new season in good physical fitness. In contrast, some others don't keep personal training and fall into parties, instead. Hence, when a new season comes, they face with overweight, and need a few weeks, maybe more than one month to come back.

The pandemic causes a long break for football players it is personal responsibility of each player to do their own personal physical training during lockdowns.

Recently there has been a lot of talk about the possible transfer of Lautaro Martinez to Barcelona.

I also see it complicated.
It is a reality, in Barcelona Lautaro would have less prominence than in Inter.

How much more are they willing to wait for him?
Zidane still seems to believe in him and thinks he is the future of Real.
Karim Benzema seems to have had the same, difficult start at Real until he showed how much he is worth.

This is true. I think that before those players are going to retire, Barcelona is going to sell them to Chinese clubs.
This way they are going to get money in order to sign fresh players for building a squad without having any real problems with the financial fair play. The building of the team is going to need some time though.
