It's in the nature of the media to blow this kind of issues, I wouldn't be surprised if there's actually no conflict between Messi and Barcelona, and if they are working out a new contract for Lionel Messi. Messi has done great things for and with Barcelona, there is no way he'll leave based on a disagreement or because he is upset about something in the club, if there's any, the matter imo will be resolved swiftly.

Looks like mancity is ready to accommodate Lionel messi if he really wants to leave.

Manchester City is one of the clubs that can afford Messi, if he leaves for any reason, PSG is another of such teams, but I don't know how willing they'll be to pay the amount Messi will cost considering his age. For me though Messi would end his career in Barcelona.

Looks like this weekend could be a good profitable weekend if everything goes according to plan. Athletico Madrid is playing against Granada this week, they have been on a bad form recently and will want to recover that with a win here, so I would give it to Athletico Madrid to win the game, they will want to play their hardest.

Real Madrid is playing Osasuna and that looks like an easy game on paper for them, it is football and anything could happen but I see it as an easy game for Madrid, surely they will do as expected and win. Barcelona is playing Betis and that is exactly the same type of game of Madrid, Barcelona is clearly the better team and definitely will play to win as well. So that three game parlayed together could yield a healthy profit.

I think that tonight it is a good opportunity for us gamblers to make some money with the Copa del Rey games.Both Real Madrid and Barcelona are playing in the quarter finals and if we combine both teams to win we get an odd above three.I think this bet can be a win.

Both games are tricky. For me they are no bet.
Especially the game of Real Madrid. In Copa del Rey both Real and Barcelona are doing big rotation which might be disastrous in some games.

What a surprise match this Sunday at COPA, the top club LaLiga were beaten just like that by clubs in the standings:
 8. Real Sociedad
 9. Athletic
 10. Granada
 and Mirandes from Other Leagues.

Looks like Zinedine Zidane was wrong to lose some of his players, he didn't maximize his team.  Though one step will go to the semifinals.
So in my opinion the Real Madrid coach rotates his players at the wrong time.

It wasn't the wrong time, Almost all the top clubs do rotations when it comes to Copa Del Rey so that the other players get a chance to play while the major players rest. The La Liga race is far from done, the champion's league is around the corner... sincerely, which other time would you expect him to do the rotations?

It just didn't work for the top clubs tonight.

The La Liga race is far from done, the champion's league is around the corner... sincerely, which other time would you expect him to do the rotations?

But at least to rotate the player must see who his opponent is, Real Sociedad is a club that has a good player.

I doubt this is the case as Barcelona has won almost all the Copa Del Ray trophies over the past decade, this shows how seriously they take the tournament. Also you would have to consider that they faced really tough opponents in Sociedad and Bilbao.

It's a tie and not a single match and the margin is not that much so we may still see both of the favorite teams advance.

I didn't watch the Real Madrid match so can't comment much but just to join others to show my disappointed in  Zinedine Zidane but for the Barcelona match, I think they were just unlucky, Barca dominated the match both in possession and shots at goal. The Bilbao goal was even an own goal and it isn't that they played that good to deserve the win but simply were just lucky.

Barcelona would had easily won that match, both messi and griezmann missed an opportunity to put Barcelona ahead. Simon (Bilbao keeper) was brilliant as his leg was the reason both attempts from griezmann and Messi respectively were denied.

Not surprised by yesterday's results.
As I said, Copa del Rey games are very tricky. Real and Barcelona got into the trap and they got disqualified. Bilbao was better in the second half and they scored the winning goal.

Cup games are always opportunity for nominally weaker side too pull a surprising result.

I sort of expected Barca to have problems since Bilbao at home is a tough game and Barca has some internal problems at the moment. I even predicted it will be Bilbao to win 1:0. Check my last few posts if you don't belive me 

Real Madrid conceding 4 goals was much bigger surprise when you take into account their defensive record in last 10 games.

Yesterday copa matches hit me blue and black lol.

Because ofcouse, i never expected Real Madrid, with their recent form, dominance and performance to fall down flat before Sociedad
It was a rotation gone wrong for Madrid but one that they will learn from.

For Barcelona, i want to say i am not shocked, i still stand firm that sacking Valverde was a mistake, and now I guess Barcelona is about to sack Abidal equally for calling the team out. Tiki Taka cannot be replicated in 3 months.

Setien now has more losses than win since taking over at barcelona, and perhaps we might experience more.

With the new Coppa del Rey elimination regulation with just one game, it's normal for the home team to win against the favorites. Before the organizers were unhappy that there were no surprises, now they are probably scratching their heads at what kind of tournament happened without any of the class teams. The loss of Real and Barca comes at a time of preparation for decisive matches for the title. Real Madrid's match was a failure from the beginning, while Barca's loss was illogical and completely accidental. There is another problem there too - Messi is in conflict with management according to some publications. It certainly affects his mood of play as seen on the pitch.
